Hey! Happy hump day, stampin' friends! WOWZERS! Soooooo many folks joined us at Simon Says Stamp last week. I don't think I have ever seen so many people join a challenge before in my life! That was awesome!!!! We have a wonderful new designer joining the team too. Kathy is soooo super talented please check out her blog and give her a warm welcome to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge DT.

So we have another fabulous challenge this week at Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog. This week we would like to see anything but a card! The Simon Says Stamp DT are featuring "All Things Tim Holtz" this week too. You can join us and use your Tim Holtz products too or not...your choice!

We also have a fabulous prize again this week. A whopping $50 voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore. I know you won't have any trouble spending it. The store is chalked full of crafty goodness!

So, I decided to channel my inner "Tim" and get really inky for this challenge! When I first saw this toilet paper roll mini-album, I knew I had to give it a go and that it would be perfect for this weeks challenge....Anything but a card!!!

So, I flattened and covered 4 toilet paper rolls with this luscious Echo Park Be Mine paper from the Simon Says Stamp store with Zip Dry. I painted the edges of 2 covered rolls with Picket Fence Distress Crackle Paint and the other 2 with Pewter Distress Crackle Paint.  Then I took 4 shipping tags and I inked them with the Worn Lipstick and Black Soot Distress ink like Tim demonstrates in this video to get "The Perfect Distress" look. For the tag that is showing I used a Tim Holtz mini-mask and inked with Black Soot Distress ink using the blending tool like Tim demonstrates in this video. I then used various stamps on all the tags from this gorgeous Tim Holtz set called Urban Grunge and I especially love the text stamp in this set and will be using it more often. I added Perfect Pearls to the tags for a subtle shimmer. To embellish I used American Crafts ribbon from my stash and I also cut some Grunge paper with my Die-namics Little Open Scallop border die and rolled rose die. I then inked with Worn Lipstick. I added some of the stickers that come in the Be Mine paper pack by Echo Park and some bling and pearls. I  added some gorgeous Pink Prima flowers and Grey Prima Flowers that co-ordinate perfectly with the Be Mine paper. To attach all the toilet rolls I used my Crop-O-dile and attached extra large eyelets and use binder rings and then added lots of ribbon.

For the tag I thought I would add King Tilda...she is so cute. I coloured her with Copics and cut her out and pop-dotted her on the tag. I also added Gold Stickles to her crown. You can also add small photos to the tags if you want.

This toilet paper roll mini-album was so much fun to make and I really enjoyed getting really inky and creative with all the fabulous products that Tim Holtz has created for us! You can get soooooo many of his products at Simon Says Stamp Superstore! Just click on the "All Things Tim Holtz" link at the top of the side bar on the Simon Says Stamp SuperStore!  The new products just released at CHA are coming soon!

Thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my Simon Says Stamp project. Please visit the other DT girls to see all their stunning creations!  I hope you can join us this week!

Get inky!

Hugs,
