Kim & Tara Challenge # 8...Have a Fairy Nice Day!

Well, I am back from my camping trip to Awenda Provincial Park but I don't think I have ever been so glad to be back home!!!! It just poured most of the time we were there and it made for a very soggy and very unpleasant camping trip. We have a tent trailer but it was still damp, cold and miserable, well at least, I, was miserable!!! Chris and the kids can tough it out better than I can! But I guess we were a little better off than the poor tent campers! We have another week-long camping trip coming up and I really hope we have better weather....definitely keeping my fingers and toes crossed, smile!

But on a brighter note, today is the K&T challenge and I have a cute card to share with you! So after you have a look-see at my card, pop on over to my good friend, Kraftin' Kimmie's blog, and see what gorgeous creation she whipped up for our challenge this month! Now, just to get you up to speed with how the K&T challenge works, one person sends the paper and the other sends the stamped image(s). Neither knows what they are getting and well, we just hope that it all co-ordinates and we don't end up with any wonky lookin' cards, lol!!!! Ya know, snowman on flower paper,he,he,he!

So, this month Kim sent this yummy paper....just love the pretty colours and there were so many different patterns to choose from too and I sent Kim a few different fairy images from Paper Makeup stamps! I picked this cute fairy called sprout! I stamped her on Prism Simply Smooth cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her in with my Copics! I did add some sparkle with my clear Spica pen to her wings but it didn't show up in the pics.

I cut out the image with my Nesties and a mat from the pretty turquoise Bazzill Bling cardstock and pop dotted! I inked the edges of the image with Faded Jeans Distress inks and used my new Fiskars Apron Lace border punch for the first time...love it!

But I am really excited about the adorable die-cut wood flower embellies by Harmonie that I added to this card! I picked them up at The Scrapbook Academy a week or so ago and I just think they are so sweet and you can do so many great techniques to them to jazz them I up! I just went with something quick and easy and coloured them with my VersaMagic chalk inks. They had a sample board at the store and you can paint them, ink them and they look fab with a coat of glossy accents too!!!

The sweet sentiment is from Paper Makeup too and I stamped it with VersaMagic chalk ink and outlined it with my Spica pen and of course I had to use this yummy wood grain American Crafts ribbon to finish it off!

So there you have it another K&T challenge....soooo much fun! Now, pop on over to Kim's blog and see what she has created...that is where I am headed right now...I just know it will be super duper cute!

Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek!

My Disney trip update...a card, new stash and pics!

Good Morning crafty friends! It is so nice to finally get some time to share my Disney trip pics with you! We had a great time and it was nice to have a break and see all my beloved Disney friends again! It truly is a magical place!!!!! This year the Theme is "Celebrate Everyday" and we went to Celebrate Hannah's 10th birthday and it was a great way to celebrate!!!!

Well, first I wanted to show you the card that I made for Hannah and I brought it to Florida with us and gave it to he on her birthday before we headed to the Magic Kingdom! I am quite happy with how this card turned out! I used a great sketch #58 from Friday Sketchers challenge blog. I didn't have time before we left to enter the challenge but it was a gorgeous sketch and one to use again for sure!
I used this yummy Cosmo Cricket Early Bird paper that I bought at Stamping Bella...I thought the polka dot paper was kinda reminiscent of Minnie's polka dot dress. I used this new Summer Anya stamp and coloured her with my Copics. I used my Stix 2 glue and foil to give her mirrored sunglasses, lol! The sentiment is a Stamping Bella sentiment...how perfect is it and I embossed it with Zing White embossing powder. I used some Melissa Frances rub-ons on the image and I spotted this Mickey ears ribbon slider in my stash that my good friend Dana gave me a few years ago and it was just the perfect little touch for this card!

Here is the inside sentiment which is also a Melissa Frances rub-on! Hannah was pleased with her card but I think she just wanted to get going to Disney World that morning, lol!

Here is a pic of all my goodies that I picked up on our trip! I got my BG Lemonade and June Bug papers and other BG goodies from a great store in Orlando called Scrappy Boutique that I found by searching my GPS, I got my Memento inks at a Disney outlet store that had some scrapbooking supplies...look at the price tag...that's right 5$...what a steal! Then I had my hubby stop at Jo-Ann's on our way home from the Buffalo Airport. I got the DCWV paper pad, the Fiskars Apron lace punch, embossing folder and yummy American Crafts ribbon.
Now for some Disney pics...here is Hannah on her 10th B-day in front of Cinderella's Castle, Magic Kingdom. She was so proud to wear her Birthday Button and to have cast members wish her a Happy B-day all day long!!!!!! What a magical day!!!!!!

Oh this is me with Snow White my fave princess, Magic Kingdom!

and me smooching with my new boyfriend Mickey, lol, at Camp Minnie-Mickey, Animal Kingdom !!!!!

Here is all of us with Goofy in Frontierland, Magic Kingdom, just before we got on Splash Mountain!!!!!
and here is Chris and Kieran with Princess Jasmine and Aladdin at Morocco Pavilion, Epcot.
Lastly, I just wanted to mention that I was so super thrilled to have won the Just Magnolia card of the month! Bev e-mailed me to let me know and It was such a fabulous surprise!!!! Now, I have a 25 dollar Voucher from Simon Says Stamp to go shopping with. I know exactly what I going to get....yup, more cute Magnolia stamps, lol!!!!
Well, Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek at my pics! I hope to do some stamping this weekend but I need to clean my house too so I will try to get a little of both done, lol!

WOJ POM July.....A gift for Teacher!!!!

First off, Happy Canada Day!!! I hope you have a great day with friends and family and maybe even get to see the fireworks later! I also hope you are actually reading this post as I scheduled it and I am not so lucky with that, so will keep the fingers crossed that it worked out, lol!
I wanted to show you what I made for this months WOJ POM...a gift for teacher!
I bought these Mary Kay Glisten Winterberry Gift sets from my very bestest friend and Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant, Dana, for the kids' teachers!
Then I made the apple shaped gift tags on my Silhouette with a QK digital download GSD file! I cut it out of Bazzill Bling cardstock and this fun Fancy Pants paper!
I stamped Willow and Oakley on Prism Simply Smooth White cardstock and coloured them with my Copics, I inked all the edges of the paper, assembled the cards, added the fun measuring tape twill and pop-dotted Willow and Oakley on the card!
Kieran had a really great and supportive teacher this year so I added this little special teacher charm that I picked up at Stamping Bella!

Here is the inside! I punched a hole with my Crop-A-Dile and laced through some more twill and tied it to the gift bag and I added the twill with the number for the grade that each kid will be going into next year! This is the inside of Hannah's card...I can't believe she is going into grade 5...where has the time gone, smile!
Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek!
