La-La Land Crafts...Inspiration Friday...The Great Outdoors!

I am back with my second post for today and my very first La-La Land Crafts card....Whoo-hoo!! I'm super happy with how this card turned out too. I got this adorable Capri Marci and two other Marci stamps from Lora at One Crazy Stamper. She had a few La-La Land stamps on sale and I have been SO tempted by Inge and Jo's gorgeous La-La Land creations that I just couldn't resist these CUTE stamps any longer.

I made this card for the La-La Land Crafts blog Friday Inspiration Theme...The Great Outdoors. Since I only have a few La-La Land stamps to pick from I decided to use Capri Marci and created a bit of an outdoor scene around her with QuicKutz and MFT Die-namics. The Sentiment is from MFT Great Outdoors Sentiments Set. 

I used more gorgeous MME Miss Caroline paper this time from the Dolled Up 6x6 paper pad. I coloured Marci with my Copics and cut her out and sat her on some grass cut with a QuicKutz 2x2 die. The clouds, tent and tress are also QuicKutz 2x2 dies. I am glad I got to use them and really should try and use them more often since I have so many from my scrapbooking days. I used several MFT Die-namics dies here too...they will be down at the bottom in my supplies list. I embellished with some lace trim, hemp twine, white half pearls, and some Wild Orchid Crafts cherry blossoms. 

Here is the inside...I stamped Capri Marci with Lady Bug Memento ink and used another sentiment from the MFT The Great Outdoors stamp set.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 84...Beachy Keen!

Hey Krafty Friends! Hope you had a great week and are all set for a very Krafty weekend!!! I know I am going to be getting my Kraft on today!

Well, today I'm sharing the card I made for the new challenge that we have this week at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge blog! This week Michele is the fabulously krafty hostess and she has set a water themed challenge called "Make a Splash" ( beach, rain, anything wet or watery is good). Michele made a stunning card, as always, with the gorgeous Nerissa stamp from the Moonlight Whispers collection! If you join the challenge this week and use a KKS stamp on your card or creation you will be entered into the random draw to win a Nerissa stamp of your very own! How fabulous is that!?

For my card I used more BasicGrey Sweet Threads 6x6 papers....absolutely love this BG collection! I cut several wave borders on my Silhouette Digital Craft Cutter and inked the edges with Tumbled Glass Distress ink. I used sweet Elanor...love her to bits. She is definitely one of my all time Favorite Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I coloured her with my Copics and paper pieced her bathing dress and cap and coloured parts of the paper pieced dress with my Copic makers too. I added some Rose Viva Decor Pearl Pen to the centers of the flowers on the bathing cap. The flowers were cut with my MFT Flower and Leaf Trio Die-namics set, Perfect Petal Trio Die-nmaics set and Pretty Posies Die-namics set with BG Sweet Threads buttons in the centers. I added some Rain Dots water splashes here and there to continue on with the water theme. The sentient is from the Kimmie's Mermaid sentiment set and stamped on a tag cut with a QuicKutz die. 

Here is the inside of the card! I used another sentiment from Kimmie's Beachy Sentiment set and the Happy B-day sentiment is from an old MFT sentiment set and is stamped on another QuicKutz tag.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge...Stars and Stripes...Friends Forever!

Good morning stampin' friends! I hope you all had a great weekend and for my crafty Canadian friends, out there, I hope you enjoyed the extra sleep in yesterday, as much as I did!  So, today I am sharing the card I made for this week's new challenge that we have over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog. This week the challenge is Stars and Stripes....so lets see some Stars and Stripes on your card or creation in some way!!!

For my card this week I have used For the Record Echo Park 12x12 Papers and this sweet or should I say "tweet", Pure Innocence stamp by My favorite Things called You're So Tweet! I coloured the image with my Copic Markers and paper pieced her dress with the Echo Park papers. I inked all the edges of the paper and the die cuts with my new favourite ink Powder Puff chalk ink in Amaretto. I cut the image out with my Oval Nesties and then left the image in the die and inked with Old Paper Distress ink. I cut a mat with the scalloped Oval Nestie from black cardstock and adhered the image with dimensional adhesive. I cut a border from white cardstock using the My Favorite Things Dizzy Border Die-namics Die and I cut all the stars on my card with my QuicKutz dies but you can get the same look with the fabulous Stacking Stars Die-namics set too. I stamped a sentiment from another one of the Pure Innocence stamp sets called A Cart Full of Friends on the tag and hung it from the knotted ribbon and finally I added a little red bling here and there to finish off the card.   

Here is the inside of my card....I stamped the PI Girlie again and used one of the sentiments that comes in the You're So Tweet stamp set.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge...Look what the Stork brought!

Hey stampin' friends! Well, I finally feel like I am back in the swing of things and not in vacation mode any more. I'm all caught up with my DT cards too! We have a fabulous challenge this week at Simon Says Stamp Challenge. Several DT members and Heidi, the boss (smile), are expecting! So, we thought it would be fun to make some baby cards to celebrate this joyous time!

A friend at work is expecting a baby boy so I thought I would make her a card.  I used my, My Favorite Things, Who's that Girl, Baby Bump set...I just love this stamp set to bits and never tire of using it. I used this gorgeous 6x6 paper pad from My Minds Eye, Stella Rose collection called Hattie...I think these MME 6x6 Stella Rose paper pads are my fave at the mo....so inspiring to work with. I coloured the image with my Copics and paper pieced her clothes and shopping bags. The ribbon is from my stash and so is the bling. I cut out the doily GSD file from the Silhouette website with my Silhouette cutter from Kraft cardstock.  I'm so glad to be getting more use of my Silhouette and will definitely be cutting more doilies on it as I am loving the way they look.  I also used my MFT Jumbo Scalloped border die-nmaics and scalloped Scallop Die-namics border die. The sentiment is stamped with Memento inks on Kraft cardstock. 

Here is the inside of my card. I used one of the sentiments that comes with Clearly Sentimental about Babies and the sentiment on the tag is also from an old MFT Sentiment set.

kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge and April release Krafty Peeks...There's Magic in the Air!!!

Good morning Krafty friends! So are you ready for another fab day of Krafty peeks for the Kraftin Kimmie Stamps April release!? It's also Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge day...whoohoo!!! Today the Krafty Girls and Krafty Guests are featuring Annie Rodrigue's new Fairy images and they are all absolutely STUNNING!!! I am so in love with all 5 new gorgeous faires and I know you are going to be gushing over all the gorgeous cards the Krafty Girls and Krafty Guests have made for today's challenge and preview! The new April release stamps will be available in on-line shop, tomorrow Sunday April 17th and we are having our traditional Krafty Hop too and Kimmie always has new stamps up for grabs, so you won't want to miss it!

This week I'm the hostess for the challenge and I thought it would be fun to have a little game of Krafty Bingo! The Krafty Bingo Grid is below, all you have to do is select a line either vertically, horizontally or diagonally and then use the items from that line anywhere you want on your card or creation. So, for instance, on my card I have picked one of the diagonal lines and used Die cuts, Twine and Gems or you could pick say the top horizontal line and use flowers, buttons and bling/gems. It is pretty easy and I think it is a fun challenge and provides so many different options. So, I hope you can join us this week!

Krafty Bingo Card

Remember, if you link up your creation to the challenge blog and use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp on your creation then you will be entered into the random draw to win your very own Rosabelle stamp from the new April release that is featured on my card today!

For my card I used BasicGrey Lemonade 6x6 papers and this super sweet and sassy Rosabelle Fairy stamp. I coloured her with my Copics and cut the image out with my Label Nesties and inked with Tumbled Glass Distress inks. As I said, I picked a diagonal line on the Bingo Grid and I added some die cut toadstools, cut with a QuicKutz 2x2 dies and some grass with my MFT Die-namics grass die. I also used some gorgeous Twinery twine and gems from my stash. One of the sentiments comes with Roseabelle and the "Birthday Wishes" sentiment is from Kimmie's Everyday Sentiment set.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps...March Release Krafty Peek Day 3...I don't do mornings!

Hey Krafty friends! Well, didn't you just love all those cute cards with Steven Leary's new Pirates??  Super cute, eh!? Well, today we have more Krafty Peeks for the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps March Release. The Krafty Girls and Guests are featuring Annie Rodrigue's new Everyday Girls for the Moonlight Whispers collection. I am so in love with Annie's stamps for this release! Okay, I know I say that every release but these gals are especially cute and fun! There are six great Everyday Girls that come with an accessory stamp and one or two sentiments! 

So, today I am featuring Angie. She is my kinda gal! Well, actually, I am a morning person but I need my java to get me kick started, however, I do love lounging around in my comfy clothes, especially on the weekend. Gotta love her, in her comfy and well worn robe and her "Saturday" hair, lol! I thought I would use some comfy and warm BasicGrey Curio papers to go with her and I paper pieced Angie's robe and I coloured the rest of her with my Copics. I cut her out with my Label Seventeen Nesties and inked with Old Paper Distress inks and cut a mat with my Fiskars finger grip craft Knife by cutting around the outside edge of the Nestie die. I used some lace trim, brown crinkled seam binding and a BG button tied with hemp twine. I sprinkled some half pearls here and there and added this gorgeous Mocha Gardenia from Wild Orchid Crafts and some small Prima roses. The Sentiment is one of two sentiment stamps and some fuzzy slippers accessory stamp that comes with Angie.

Here is the inside...I use a sentiment from Kimmie's coffee sentiment set. I cut a gift card holder on my Silhouette Digital Craft Cutter and added some patterned paper and more crinkled seam binding to decorate it up a bit. 

I tucked a Tim Hortons coffee gift card inside the holder!

Simon Says Stamp Challenge...A BINGO Challenge...Be My Valentine!

Good morning stampers! I love Wednesday...hump day....we're half way through the week and the weekend is in full view,lol! I also like it cuz it is Simon Says Stamp Challenge day...Woo hoo!!! This week we have a great challenge idea for you, BINGO...no reason to not join us as there are multiple options! Just pick the bingo line that you like best! Use any 3 items that are in a straight line (up, down, across, diagonal) Eg. use a punch/die cuts, embossing and ribbon on your creation or Brads, Flowers and Ribbon, just to name 2 options...isn't it a great idea! Well, let's play BINGO!!!!!!

This week, the prize is a WHOPPING $50 voucher from Simon Says Stamp Superstore!!! Whheeeeeehoooooo!!!!!! How exciting eh?? So, get out your stamps and start creating!!! We can't wait to see what you create!!!! Have a great week & good luck!

I have to say, that I am very pleased with how my card turned and I wasn't really planning on it being a Valentine with this paper but it just worked out that way. I rather like the non-traditional colour combo! I used the Punch/Die Cuts, Flowers, Gems line on the Bingo card!

 I tried to change things up a bit on this card as I think I am falling into a crafting rut, where I always doing the same things on my cards. I really admire the beautiful stylings of Inge Groot and I have been on the look out for a grunge stamp like the ones she uses on her cards. I finally found one and used it for the first time on this card and I'm very happy with the results!!!

So, for my card I used BasicGrey Marjolaine 6x6 papers that I just adore and I decided to ink up a poorly neglected Miss Anya stamp from The Greeting Farm's, Miss Anya Love set. I coloured Miss Anya with my Copic markers and cut the image out with my rectangle Nesties and embossed it and matted with the  scalloped rectangle Nesties. I stamped the "splotch" stamp with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress ink around the edges of the image to get that grunge look I so like. I added some Prima flowers with gems in the the centres and sprinkled a few gems here and there. In keeping with my line on the bingo card, I used the My Favorite Things Die-namics Notebook Edge die and I punched some butterflies from cork with my Martha Stewart 3 in 1 Butterfly punch. The sentiment is from the Holidays Transfers Melissa France rub-on sheet. To finish things off, I added a little sparkle with a Sakura Clear Stardust pen and just spread the sparkle around with my finger to get a softer feel. I used my Viva Decor black Pearl pen to add the buttons on Anya's boots and shirt.

Here is the inside of my card....pretty simple...the sentiment is also from a Melissa Frances rub-on sheet called LOVE Transfers.

This is Lily Lemon and she is sooooo sweet...love her to bits! She comes with a lemon accessory stamp and the sentiment "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade!" I made an easel card and used my new 6x6 BG Curio papers. I also used my MFT Die-namics Crochet border die and my Lacey Circles Nestie die. I added some scrumptious crinkled seam binging as I just love it and a WOC and Prima flowers and a little sprinkling of bling! The sentiment "Thinkin' of You" is from the Kimmie's Everyday Sentiments set and is stamped on a QuicKutz tag!

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #78....A Sketch by Karen....Thinking of You!

Hey crafty friends! This is my 3rd post today! WOW! What a busy blog day this has been! I've had lots of DT cards to share with you....now I'm back with my card for the Magnolia Down Under Challenge! The DT are all rested up at MDUC and ready to have a fabulous crafty 2011 with you and our friends Tilda and Edwin! This week the lovely and talented,  Karen, has designed a beautiful sketch and I just love it to bits! I hope you can join us this week at MDUC! To enter you must follow along with the challenge and use a Magnolia image that you've coloured yourself and you must link up to a new creation...no back linking please.

So for my card I used this sweet image of Tilda from the Winter Magnolia Stamp Club kit and I coloured her with my Copics and cut out the image with my Nesties, I left the image in the die and inked with Spun Sugar Distress ink! The scalloped border is the MFT Die-Namics Open Scallop border die. I teamed Tilda up with this scrumptious BG Olivia 6x6 papers. The gorgeous Prima flowers are from Simon Says Stamp and I won them from the Fall Blog hop from Marcea's blog...love 'em to bits!!! I embellished with some BG Bling and the sentiments are Melissa Frances rub-ons.

I coloured her with my Copics and cut the image out with my Circle Nesties, left the image in the die and inked with Old Paper Distress Ink. I also used the open scallop Circle Nestie die. I added some Prima flowers and used BG Marjolaine 6x6 papers and Cappella buttons. I used my Kelly Panacci Stitching stamps again...love 'em! 

Here is the inside....lots of DOTS here. I used My Favorite Things Die-Namics Polka Dots Greetings Stamp and Die set. The other sentiment is from one of the older MFT Essential Sentiments sets and its stamped on a QuicKutz tag.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 60....Unwind...Fishin' You a Great Day!

Good morning Krafty friends! We are back into the swing of things over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge blog! We all hope you had a wonderful and restful holiday and that you are ready to get Krafty with us again for our first challenge of 2011! This week Krafty Girl, Michele, is hosting the challenge and she is asking us to "Unwind"....this means no ribbon, trim, string, lace , fibres of any kind on your card or creation. So, I hope you can join us for this week's challenge. Oh, this was a challenge for me, smile! I love my ribbon...I knew I would have a really hard time not adding any ribbon,trim, lace or the like to my card, so, I thought if I made a "boy" card I could resist the temptation a little better.  I decided to ink up cute Curtis and I coloured him with my copics and cut  around him and pop-dotted him on the card. I used 3 of my Die-namics border dies, fresh cut grass, the negative of the Jumbo scallop and the small scallop cut from MFT My Favorite Felt, to create a little scene. The clouds are QuicKutz die and I stamped on the stitching with my Kelly Panacci stitching stamps. The sentiment comes with Curtis and I made a sentiment flag and added a black baby brad. The little strip of pp is from the Cosmo Cricket Mini Deck, Togetherness!

Exciting News and Magnolia Down Under Challenge # 64...Fancy Folds...Happy Birthday to you...!!!

Good morning crafty friends! I have some exciting news to share with you and I made my first envelope box for the Magnolia Down Under Challenge # 64...Fancy Folds!!! I made it with my Martha Stewart Score board and the fabulous tutorial that Annika did up on her gorgeous blog Another Messy Crafter. Hope my "envelobox" is not too much of a stretch for the Fancy Folds challenge...I know it is not nearly as fancy or complicated as the other gorgeous and intricate cards the MDU DT have created but I really wanted to play along!

So, my exciting news is.......I am one of the 4 new DT members for Magnolia Down Under Challenges blog...Whoo Hoo...I'm so super excited! What a fabulous DT and challenge blog they have!!! I am so honoured to have been picked alongside the likes of Camillia, Debbie Dolphin and Denise, 3 amazingly talented stampers!!! WOW!!! A total surprise for me and I am just soooo ecstatic!

So, I made this envelope box for a card I made a while back and have been saving to give to my friend's daughter on her upcoming birthday! When I first saw Annika's tutorial using the MS Score Board I was very intrigued...then I saw the MS score board at Micheals so I picked one up and today I attempted my first envelope box! It was super easy following along with Annika's tutorial and I am so glad to finally know how to make these fabulous boxes for my bulky easel cards! So I made this box to go with this easel card for Olivia ! She just loves the Tilda cards I make for her and she loves princesses too...what 4 yer old, soon to be 5, doesn't, right!

So, I thought to celebrate my exciting news, about joining the Magnolia Down Under Challenges DT, I would join the challenge even though this envelope box is a bit of a stretch for the "Fancy Folds" challenge! I have been dieing to colour this Tilda as a Ballerina image for a while. I also know that Olivia has been taking ballet lessons too...so I thought it would be perfect! I am very happy with how Tilda turned out. I added a lot of Glamour dust to her tiara and the swirls! I pop-dotted her on the front panel of the envelobox and coordinated it to match the Tilda Princess card and added her name to the box with QK Maddie Anne.

Well, I hope that you will be able play along with the me and the fabulous DT over at the Magnolia Down Under Challenges blog every Sunday! I offically start at the begining of October and I am so excitited...eeekkk!
