Just Magnolia # 11...It's Raining Love and Birthday Wishes!

Just a really quick post this afternoon to share this card that I made with the gorgeous sketch by Bev over on the Just Magnolia Challenge blog this week! I am heading over to my Mom's so she can colour my hair...time to cover up the nasty grey hairs, lol! It's a nice perk having a Mom for a hair stylist!!!!

I am just loving this BoBunny paper at the mo it is soooo super scrumptious and such a great colour combo!!!! I used my EK Success border punch and my Nestie flower dies that I first saw on Wild Sprinkles, Tori's fabulous blog and I just love what she does with them...they're so much fun! She even has a quick tutorial on how she colours them in! I have used chalk inks and sponge dauber thingy and added lots of Stardust Stickles!

Tilda is stamped on Prism Simply Smooth White cardstock and then I masked her and stamped the fence. I coloured the image with my Copics and cut it out with my circle Nesties and did the Out of the Box Nestie Technique so that I didn't have to cut of her pretty umbrella... I am totally lovin' this technique!!!!!

I used this gorgeous American Crafts ribbon that I got at Stamping Bella, I've been hording it 'til now, the sentiment is from WoJ and I coloured the heart gem with my Copic marker to coordinate!

Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek!

WoJ # 35 and Friday Sketchers # 57...Sweet Little Angel!

I made this card for the Whiff of Joy Challenge for this week's challenge, Paper Piecing and I used the great sketch over at Friday Sketchers for the card layout!
I used Willow with baby from the Whiff of Joy Women's Delight collection and this great K&Co. Berry Sweet paper that my stamping pal Jo sent me in a RAK it is sooo pretty and I used Bazzill Basics and Bazzill Bling cardstock!

I stamped Willow on Prism Simply Smooth White cardstock and coloured her in with my Copics and paper pieced the wee baby swaddled in this pretty pink flower pattern paper! I did the out of the box Nesties technique again as I didn't want to cut of any of willow's gown, as it is so beautiful! I used some scrap pieces of American Crafts ribbon from my stash. I cut the Nesties tag and stamped the WoJ sentiment. I left the die in place after embossing the tag and inked with Tim Holtz Distress ink in Scattered Straw!

Here is the inside...another one of the great WoJ sentiment from the new Women's Delight collection and some pretty prima flowers and MM brads! Since I was scrounging up the last bits of my ribbon here I didn't have enough to span the width of the card, so I used one bit on one side of the sentiment and another bit on the other of the sentiment and the Nestie rectangle hides that they don't actually meet in the middle! Now that is pretty good at using up the bits and pieces eh?! I am just a titch sad that this is the last of this yummy green plaid American Crafts ribbon!
Well, there you have it another card! Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek !

Copic Colour Challenge # 18 and Just Magnolia # 10 Summer!

I made this card for the Just Magnolia challenge this week! The challenge is to make a card with a Summer theme! I have been thinking about this fun card idea for a while now, mulling it over in my head! Finally, I had a chance to put it all together! So, I made a 6x6 card base from red Bazzill Basics cardstock. I wanted the focal of this card to be the circle with these fun words on it...just what everyone wants to do in the summer....run, jump, skip, play! This is a QK Digital download image and I cut it out my QuicKutz Silhouette and inked it and all the pp with Faded Jeans Distress inks. I used BasicGrey Lime Ricky for the pp and cut the solid blue pp with my Fiskars circle cutter to mat the die cut.
I stamped Edwin and the butterflies, from the Magnolia Chasing Butterflies collection, on Prism Simply Smooth White cardstock and coloured them in with my Copics, cut them out and pop-dotted them on the circle. I used the colours from this week's Copic Colour Challenge...Rose Red R 85, Holiday Blue BG05, Cadmium Yellow Y15.

Again, I embossed this fun C.C. Designs sentiment with American Crafts Zing white embossing powder. I just love having a white sentiment and it is so hard to get a good crisp impression with white ink, so I am just thrilled with the Zing embossing powder! I finished the card off with some American Crafts ribbon...my fave, smile! Got Flowers? Primas (that I got at Micheals for $2.99...whata steal) and MM brads!
The inside is very simple and just left it as a note card!
Thanks for stopping by this morning to have a wee peek! I am going to have a blog hop now and catch up on my commenting. Sorry I haven't been around to comment much lately. I am having a crazy busy month I will be going on holidays in a few weeks...I am very much looking forward to that break!

Another Whiff of Joy......Syd and Amanda...Perfect Love!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend! It is rather dreary and rainy here, so I have spent the day in my scrapbooking room making cards. I've made yet another card with the gorgeous Whiff of Joy stamps from the Women's Delight collection! I Know you are enjoying them as much as I am! This card is one that a friend at work ordered for her nephews upcoming wedding! The wedding colours are Brown and Pink and so I picked this MME Wild Asparagus paper and Bazzill Bling cardstock!

I stamped Willow and Oakley on Prism Simply Smooth white cardstock with Memento Black Tuxedo ink and coloured them with my Copics and Shimmerized the images here and there.

I made this card loosely based on the fabulous sketch that Bev designed for the Whiff of Joy Challenge last week. I have used this sketch about 4 times now and just love, love, love, it! I also used the Out of the Box Nestie technique using Rach's fabulous tutorial again and I love how this looks!!!

You may be wondering what's up with the flip flop charm! Well, the bride and brides maids are wearing flip-flops and there will be baskets of filp-flops for guests to change into if they wish. I think that sounds like a fun idea! I know I always end up kicking of my uncomfortable shoes at a wedding so I can get up and dance, smile. I got this flip-flop charm and many other adorable charms at Stamping Bella last weekend and I used Bev's fabulous tutorial to attach the charm to the card. I found the chain at the dollar store and had some jumper rings in my stash. I used a cheap ol' silver brad to attach it and then covered it with the pretty rose. I used Zip Dry glue so these flower aren't going anywhere, smile. I added some tulle that my sweet friend Kim sent me and some half pearls from the dollar store.

Here is the inside sentiment and dove image are both from the WoJ Women's Delight collection.

So, there you have it! Thanks for stopping by to have a wee peek!

Kim & Tara Challenge # 7....Happy Summer...Sweetie!!!

Well, I'm back as promised with this months Kim & Tara Monthly Challenge...this challenge between me and my good stampin' pal Kim, from Kraftin' Kimmie's Korner, is so much fun! I love that we have a bit of twist to our challenge too! You know the drill by now though, right?! One of us sends the patterned paper and the other sends the image and neither of us knows what we are getting until it arrives! It is just a big ol' surpirse and who doesn't love a surprise, smile!

Well, isn't this C.C. Designs Swiss Pixie, Heidi, just the cutest wee thing? Gosh, I just love her and her Pixie friend Gretel too! When I got these images from Kimmie I was sooooo thrilled and I sent Kim this great K&Co. Citronella paper and I think they are a great match!

For my card I used a 6x6 cardbase of red Bazzill Bling and I matted the circles paper in pink Bazzill cardstock. I cut the cloud paper with my flower Nestie as I thought it would double for a cloud and I matted it in blue Prism cardstock. I cut out a few of the clouds from the pp and pop dotted them over the clouds in the pp and added one for Heidi to float on. I love pp with words on it and this gold foil word paper has lots of great summery words and sayings on it.

To finish it off I added some yummy American Crafts ribbon and The C.C. Designs Sugar Plum sentiment is stamped on a Nestie tag with VersaMark ink and embossed with white American Craft Zing embossing powder...my new fave thing!!!! I pop-dotted it too and added a MM heart brad!

Here is the inside...I basically used the same layout as the front. I added the white cardstock so I can add a little personal note to the card. This inside sentiment is by Studio G and I embossed it with the Zing embossing powder too.

So I am pretty happy with how this card turned out, I am just not that crazy about the dark blue Stickles on Heidi's wings. I should have stuck with my tried and true Crystal Stickles!

Well, there you have it another card! I had a blast with this K&T challenge! Now, I haven't even had a sneak peek of Kimmie's card this time, so I am going to hop on over to her blog now and see what cute creation she has come up with!!! I just know it is going to be super fabulous! Now, you make sure you head on over there too!

Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek of this sweet wee Swiss Pixie and of my K&T Challenge card!

Friday Sketchers # 56...Whiff of Joy and Happiness.

Just a quickie post tonight to show you this card that I made with Jeanette's stunning sketch over at Friday Sketchers...just sneaking in with a few days left on this challenge. I used my WoJ Women's Delight stamps and sentiment stamps and I am totally loving these gorgeous stamps!!! I have had several card orders for this week once the ladies at work saw these beautiful wedding and baby images by Elizabeth Bell for WoJ! I loved Jeanette's sketch which allowed me to use one of Katharina's lovely sentiments as the focal and accent it with this gorgeous tiered cake for a more sophisticated card!
I used more of the Cosmo Cricket Forever paper and it matched perfectly to this Martha Stewart ribbon that I snagged in the clearance bin at Micheals. This ribbon is sooooo lush and just soooo scrummy, lol!!!! I used Bazzill Basics cardstock and I inked the edges with scattered straw distress inks and guess what I coloured my image with? That's right my beloved Copic markers. I used my Stix2 PVA glue and applied it with a tooth pick to the small dots on the cake and added the cream foil and shimmerized it with Butter Cream Shimmerz, now how delish does that sound, smile!?

Here is the inside with another fab WoJ image and sentiment!
So there you have it! So, I wanted to give you the heads up...this Friday is another fun Kimmie & Tara challenge so make sure you pop back on Friday the 19th and see the cute cards that Kim, from Kraftin' kimmie's Korner and I have in store for you!!!!!

WOJ # 34....Bev's Fab Sketch....Perfect Love!

Good Morning folks! I have had a great weekend hanging out with my daughter, Hannah! The boys went camping at a local car race track thingy....yes, that is the official term, he, he, he...now you know why Hannah and I didn't go...that is just asking for a migraine..been there done that, lol!!! So we opted to stay home and do girl stuff!!!! Yesterday we went shoe shopping in the morning and then meet up with my friend Dana and took a road trip to Stamping Bella in Toronto. I meet my friend Anna there too, as she had a little parcel for me! She got me my rectangle and scalloped rectangle Nesties at a good deal, so we meet up to do the exchange, lol!!! WOW!!!!! I can't even tell you how much I love the Bella Boutique! That little store is just chalked full of gorgeous stash! I bought this stunning Cosmo Cricket Forever pp...totally addicted to Cosmo Cricket now...just can't get enough of it! I bought a bunch of other stuff too some fun, like adorable lil' charms and some basic supplies, like adhesive (such a good price there), I got a re-inker for my Memento pad and I got the Bazzill Basics Splat mat and I just love it! How have I gone this long with out this Bazzill Splat Mat,smile!

I started this card last night and finished it up today and I am very happy with it! I used Rach's tutorials on masking and the Out of the Box Nesties Technique...I don't have Willow positioned quite right but it will do! She kinda looks like she is going to jump of the swing, lol!!!! Bev's sketch this week at Whiff of Joy Challenge is fabulous I even used it for another card but not a WoJ stamp! My friend ordered this card as she has a wedding to go to! I hope the bride likes it! This paper is perfect as the brides colours are a peachy-orange!

Here is the inside...I picked up this Inkadinkado clear stamp set at the Super Centre (grocery store) they are clearing out there little scrapbooking section and the stamps were $3.00 I have seen the exact same set at Micheals for 24.99...what a bargain, smile! For this card I used the beautiful Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday line...I am loving this paper! WOJ Sneak Peek...Wedding Congratulations!

I used three of the new WoJ Women's Delight stamps on this card, that will be released on June 14, in the Whiff of Joy online shop! Don't miss out on theses beautiful stamps will be flying of the shelves, I'm sure!!!

So, as promised this is my happy accident card, smile. I thought the WoJ swing was a trellis/walkway, as I mentioned yesterday. I guess Willow is having a garden wedding, how beautiful! I rather like how this turned out and I think this just makes the stamps that much more versatile when you can use them in different ways!!!!!

I stamped Willow on Bee Artist Marker paper and then made a mask out of a post-it-note and then stamped the swing upside down to make a trellis! I only wish I had read Rach's fabulous tutorial on masking before I made this card!!!! She gives a fabulous tip...because the vail is transparent it's important to cut the vail off from the mask so the flowers in the background can show through it. That didn't even occur to me and you can see I didn't do that for this card but definitely will for my other cards.
I coloured Willow with my Copics and I used the "Copic water-Colouring technique" on the flowers...I have a mini-tutorial for this technique here on how to achieve a softer affect with your Copics by filling a tank brush with colourless blender fluid!

I also visited the Copic Creations Challenge blog this week and they have several fabulous links to tutorials on colouring transparent objects. Many of the links are to Marianne Walker's blog I like Markers. These tutorials were extremely helpful to me!!!!
For this card I used this beautiful Heidi Grace patterned paper, Bazzill cardstock and Worldwind cardstock. It was hard to capture in a pic but I used my gold Metallic Rub-Ons to add a hint of gold to the edges of the flowers, leaves and around the oval image, the scalloped mat, the sentiment etc. It looks great IRL! I used Stix 2 glue and dabbed it with a tooth pick on the little dots in the image and then rubbed on the Stix 2 gold foil to add some gold accents to Willow's bouquet and the flowers around the trellis. The sentiment is from the Women's Delight Collection too and I stamped it in VersaMark and used Gold embossing power.
Thanks for stopping by and having a wee sneak peek at the gorgeous new WoJ Women's Delight stamps and remember June 14th is the big day!!!!

WOJ Women's Delight Sneak Peak & Friday Sketchers # 55...Babies touch the world with love!

I am so excited to show you a sneak peak of the gorgeous new Whiff of Joy Women's Delight collection by Elizabeth Bell! They will be available in the Whiff of Joy Online shop June 14th! Make sure you get in on these stunning stamps!!!!

This stamp of Willow expecting is just so beautiful! I just adore it! I do have a bit of a funny story to tell about this card...well, I 'm not sure if it's funny really...It's just that I can be so dense sometimes, lol!!!! Well, Anyways, I wanted something for poor Willow to sit on, after all she is expecting and needs to take a load off! So, I asked my hubby to draw in something that she could sit on! Well, this is what he came up with, a swing! I thought it was brilliant!!!! Not a bad job, eh!? Then, I made another card (that I will show you tomorrow) with what I thought was a trellis/pergola type thing with flowers on it!!! Well, later I realized it is actually a swing, duh!!! Talk about dense or what!!!! Kinda helps if you turn things the right way, lol! Well, I was going to do the image over but I think I would have hurt my hubby's feelings if I didn't show you the swing he drew for sweet Willow!!!!

I made this card for the challenge over at Friday Sketchers with the fabulous sketch they have this week!!

I used some beautiful papers from Cosmo Cricket called Girl Friday! I am loving Cosmo Cricket papers they are really pretty! I used some great American Crafts ribbon, pretty Prima flowers and buttons from my stash. I threaded the buttons with Scrappers floss and I inked all the edges of the papers with Tim Holtz distress inks and stamped the stitching with my Kelly Panacci stamps and Weathered Wood Distress ink.

I stamped Willow on Bee Artist Marker pad paper and coloured her with my Copics. My Hubby, Chris, drew in the swing with a Copic Multiliner pen and they are Copic Marker Proof, so I was able to colour it with my markers and not have the ink smear.

Here is the inside!
Thanks for stopping by and having a wee sneak peek at the new Women's Delight collection from Whiff of Joy! Make sure you mark June 14th in your calendar and visit the Whiff of Joy Online store!
Come back and see my other happy accident tomorrow, smile!!!!

Just Magnolia #8, Cute Card Thursday # 36, Copic Colour Challenge #16 & Colour Create # 18....Tilda says"Life is too short for beige!"

Wow!!! I managed to combine four great challenges into one very colourful and very bright card, lol! I made this card for the Just Magnolia Challenge following Rach's fabulous sketch...definitely one to use again as it makes a fab looking card without being too complicated...gotta love that!!!!! I also followed along with the challenge at CCT to use punches/die cuts, Copic Colour Challenge and Colour Create Challenge #18 the colours of the rainbow!!!!

I made my cardbase 6x6 with yellow Bazzill Basics cardstock and matted with blue Bazzill cardstock and used my new BG Lime Ricky 6x6 paper pad and brads. I thought Lime Ricky would be the perfect paper for Colour Create challenge...colours of the rainbow!
I stamped Spring Tilda and the butterfly scene from the Magnolia Chasing Butterflies collection on Prism Simply Smooth cardstock and coloured Tilda and the secne with my Copics. I used Y06, but I don't have RV11 or E39 so I used RV13 and E37 instead. For the CCT challenge, I use my new EK Success border punch, circle and scalloped circle Nesties and QK Butterfly die. I cut the butterfly die out of the QK adhesive clear plastic material and then dusted it with Glamour Dust!

To finish it off some yummy American Crafts ribbon, Primas, Stickles and the perfect sentiment by Stamping Bella...love, love, love this sentiment!!!! I stamped it with VersaMark ink on the blue cardstock and used American crafts Zing white embossing powder...love the crisp white sentiment!
-------------------------------------------------------------
