Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - July 15 - Unicorn Wishes

Hello stampin' friends! Time for a NEW Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Unicorn - all the details and link-up are over at the Curtain Call! I ADORE the inspirational photo that we have and as soon as I set my eyes on this sweet unicorn and the banner, I knew I had to use my Reverse Confetti Unicorn Wishes and Double Banner Garland Confetti Cuts.

Oh and before you run off to check out all the inspiration the crew has to share I want to give a special shout-out to Tammy Hurshburger at Stamp Happy ! She is joining the Curtain Call Crew and we couldn't be more thrilled to have her join us....she is SOOOOO super talented and such a sweetie!

The LEAD of this challenge will be invited to be a guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

Please welcome our newest Guest Designer,

Anni Lerche, Annikarten

I used MFT Heavyweight Cardstock in Black Licorice and Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock!

I wanted a soft feel in keeping with the inspirational photo so I did a little "reverse water-colouring" as I like to call it. I made some water-coloured patterned paper with my Peerless Watercolors and set it aside to dry, when dry, I strategically stamped on the watercoloured paper to get the desired colour and effect with the Unicorn Wishes and Weather It Together stamps, then cut the images out with the coordinating Unicorn Wishes and Weather It Together Confetti Cuts.

I used the Love Note Confetti Cuts, cut from water-coloured paper, as the "home" for all the stamped and die-cut elements and created a little scene. I stamped a sentiment from the Unicorn Wishes on a flag and tucked it under the cute little unicorn. I wrapped the panel from the Class Act Confetti Cuts with hemp twine tied a bow and sprinkled around some pretty pink sparkly YNS GumDrops.  I thought my card should sparkle just a bit so I pulled out my hand-dandy Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust pens in clear and yellow...unfortunately,  it doesn't show up in the pics.

I finished off the inside of the card too...stamping another sentiment from the Unicorn Wishes stamp set on the small tag from the Tag Me Confetti Cuts and adding a few left over "reverse watercoloured" stamped images and dies.

SugarPea Designs - Mix It Up # 5 - Whisky Business

Hello Stampin' friends! I made a card yesterday for Hannah's 17th B-day...which is today and I still can't believe she is 17 years old...where has the time gone?!....Well, I think getting inky yesterday  sparked up my crafty spirit or magically rekindled my absent mojo. So, I headed back down to my craft-room this afternoon on a mission to make a card for the SPD - Mix It Up # 5 Challenge (LOVE the concept of this FUN challenge) with this sweet SugarPea Designs Whisky Business Stamp set...ADORE her to bits!

I took inspiration from both the sketch and the from some of the beautiful and vibrant colours in the yummy inspirational photo!

 photo SPDMIT5_edited-RS1_zpsgun7mrmo.jpg

I started off by making some watercolored paper with my Peerless Water Colors inspired by some of the yummy colours from the Mix it Up inspirational photo. While, my water colour paper was drying I coloured up the Whisky Business girl, the KitchenAid stand-mixer, whisk attachment and the layered cake with my Copics and cut them out with the coordinating Whisky Business Sugar Cuts.

I used the largest and second largest die from the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles Sugar Cuts to create the frame and popped it up on the card with foam adhesive. I cut the fishtail banner from the Stitched Flags Sugar Cuts and stamped a sentiment from the Whisky Business Stamp set on water-coloured paper with a smaller stitched fishtail flag also from the Stitched Flags Sugar Cuts. I wrapped the stitched sentiment flag with purple AC Hemp Twine and popped up the adorable little stand-mixer. Finally, I sprinkled around some pretty purple YNS Gumdrops

And I finished off the inside of the card, as per usual, with a water coloured tag cut with the Gift Tag Sugar Cuts,  stamped another sentiment from the set and then popped up the layered cake on the tag.

Thanks SO much for stopping by and havin' a little look at my Whisky Business card for the SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge # 5!

Reverse Confetti - SFYTT # 38 & CTD # 399 - It's Your Big Day!

Hello stampin' friends!  I've been enjoying the Canada Day long weekend and even found a little time to do some stamping as I had a very special birthday card to make with the  Reverse Confetti Stamp set - Lift Me Up. I made this card for my darling daughter, Hannah, she turns 17 years old today!!! I can't believe it...(feeling old)!

Hannah is SO grown-up...she's driving, has her first part-time job at McDonalds and just one more year of High school ahead of her before she goes off to University....we're beaming with love and pride!

I used the new July SFYTT # 38 for the layout of my card. I flipped things around a bit and put the smaller panel on the bottom of the card.

The colour combo is from the CTD # 399 - I used MFT Heavyweight Card Stock in Wild Cherry, Banana Split, Hot Fudge, Kraft and Smooth White

When I told Hannah about this sweet Reverse Confetti Lift Me Up Stamp set with giraffes she asked me to use it for her B-day card! Hannah is quite tall and is the "giraffe" of her squad...she's always informing me of the many #tallgirlproblems that she faces and so a giraffe card is very appropriate! Hannah towers over me too so I just had to use both the tall giraffe for Hannah and the shorty giraffe is me ;)

I popped up the giraffes on the stars Quick Card panel from the So Very Spring Quick Card Panels and tucked in the Insta-Frame Confetti Cuts. The balloons are from the Monkey Business Stamp set and the banners are from the Leaping Lions Stamp set. I stamped the sentiments from the Reverse Confetti Celebrations Stamp Set and embossed with Zing White embossing powder. I embellished with some brown AC Hemp twine and yellow YNS Gumdrops

I finished off the inside of the card too....and embossed another sentiment from the Reverse Confetti Celebrations Stamp set

Thanks SO much for poppin' by and havin' a wee peek at my Reverse Confetti, Lift Me Up, birthday card for my daughter's 17th B-day. I'm entering this card in RC SFYTT # 38 and The Colour Throw Down # 399
