My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 38....Wishing You the Sweetest Things!

Photobucket

Hey crafty friends! Well, I am so glad to say that I have Internet access again. My modem went on the blink and I had to wait several days until the repair guy could come and replace it.  Well, I thought I would make a card for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club challenge. They have another great sketch this week, as always. I deviated from it a bit but I think you can still see the sketch peeking through.

My daughter's friend, Rebbecca, asked me to make a birthday card for her Mom. This is what we came up with....this cute A La Mode girl really reminded her of her mom....very stylish in her wedge heels and loving texting on her new blackberry and the pretty pink papers from the Uncommon Authentique 6x6 paper pad!

Photobucket
I coloured the A La Mode Girl from the set called I Need Some Face Time with my Copics and cut out around the image and pop-dotted her on the card with the sentiment that I stamped using the Die-namics Polka Dot Die and Stamp set. I also cut two Die-namics Butterflies from QuicKutz Adhesive Cork Material...love this chunky cork too.

Photobucket
Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card! It's Monday night so I am off to watch Castle now.

Happy Stampin'!

Hugs,

Pink Ink Sketch Challenge # 6, CCT # 182 and Saturated Canary ...I'm Batty for You!

Photobucket

Hey crafty friends! I hope you are having a great weekend! It sure feels like Fall is in the air...just a little bit nippy out there, eh!? I am sooooo not looking forward to winter, at all!

Well, I thought I would make a card today and I've just discovered that Krista Smith is selling her gorgeous images as Digis called, Saturated Canary, and she will be starting a Challenge blog at the end of September...looking forward to that!!!! Well, I fell head over heels in love with these adorable Saturated Canary Digi images and soooooo I just had to get a couple the other day and then they had a new release so somehow a few more landed in my cart...how does that happen, lol!?  I just had to have this sweet  Rose, A Vampire! How precious is she!?

I made the card using the fabulous sketch over at Pink Ink Sketch Challenges designed by the oh so sweet and super talented Kylie...I know I will be using this one again for sure. Love it!!!! I would also like to enter this card in the Cute Card Thursday Challenge # 182...Anything Goes!!!

So I coloured Rose with my Copics and I am quite happy with how she turned out but the pics are not doing her justice really...she looks better IRL...I used YR0000 and YR000 and then C1, BV31, BV31 and so her skin looks warmer and less grey than it's showing here and then it blends into the mauve-grey pallor.
 Photobucket
I used my Authentique 6X6 Blissful paper pad and I absolute love these papers and the grey and yellow is such a luscious colour combo...even my dear hubby commented on how he liked my card and how he liked the Boston Bruins colours that I used! Whaaaat the.....Gggeeesh, does everything have to relate back to hockey and his beloved Boston Bruins...what a guy, lol!!!! I added some Prima flowers, some pearls and a sprinkling of black bling. The sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and comes with Batty Princess...thought it would be perfect for this card.

Here is the inside...pretty simple.

Well,  thanks so much for stopping by and havin' a wee peek at my card!!!

Hope you have a stampin' great weekend!

My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 36....Thank you for being my Sunshine!

 Photobucket

I was glad to be able to join in the My Favorite Things Stamps, Wednesday Stamp Challenge week # 36.....even if I am cutting it a bit close to the deadline. They had yet another great sketch and I decided to turn it on its side and to use one of the great MFT Die-namics Die and Stamp sets called, Textile Rectangle Die and Stamp set. I stamped the herringbone pattern in this pretty and sunny yellow called Dandelion Memento ink and stamped one of the sentiments that comes with the set in London Fog Memento ink.
Photobucket
I used this beautiful Authentique 6x6 paper pad called Blissful and added a pink sheet from the Authentique Uncommon pad...there is a little of the same pink in the Blissful pad so you can easily coordinate papers from both pads. I added some American Crafts ribbon...love this ribbon and used my Upsy Daisy Die-namics set and added an American Crafts pearl brad to the center. I added a little clear bling too for some sparkle.
Photobucket
Here is the inside...I stamped a shadow image of this cute little PI Girlie called Flower Girl and a sentiment from the MFT Great Out Doors Sentiment set in London Fog Memento Ink.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card!

Hope you have a stampin' great week!

My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 35 & Sept. 2011 GDT Contest....You're Such a Smartie!

Photobucket

Hey Stampin' friends! Did you have a great Labour Day? I relaxed and didn't really do anything even though I should have probably done some house work and laundry. Chris and I just got back on Saturday from a 6 day trip to Chicago to celebrate out 15th wedding anniversary and to check out the Windy City!  It is such a beautiful city and we had a great time! So much to do and see and we will have to go back as we didn't get to see or do all that we had planned. I was so excited to get to see my cousin Ashley and her fiance, Jeff and my Aunt Cecily (my Dad's sister) and Uncle Gary. They took us out to a beautiful restaurant! It was so nice to chat and visit. We had an absolutely fabulous time!!! If you are reading this Ashley...Hi *waving* thank you so much for a lovely visit, hun!!!!

Well, it is the first day of school for my kids and they are growing up so quickly. Hannah is in grade 7 and I just can't believe she is old enough to be in grade 7...eekkk....I remember grade 7 like it was yesterday!!! I have to say that she is one happy girl as we got her a Macbook Pro and she is thrilled to bits with it!  Kieran is in grade 5 this year and that is freakin' me out too! I have such big kids now. Where has the time gone!?

Well, enough rambling I do have a card to share with you today for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch Challenge and I also made this card for the MFT September Guest Designer Contest MFTGUESTDT0911. The Challenge for the Contest is Rip & Roll. Keeping my fingers, toes, everything crossed as I would soooooo love to be a GDT for MFT!!!!!!
Photobucket

So, for my card I decided to use sweet Emma with Her Backpack Pure Innocence set. Such a sweet image and I teamed her up with BasicGrey Oxford 6x6 papers that I so love!!! I coloured Emma with my Copics and paper pieced her wee kilt! I distress and ripped the edges of my paper with my Tim Holtz Distressing tool and I used my Retro Rolled flower Die-nmaics and My Favorite Felt in Cherry On Top Red to make the adorable rolled flower. This is the first time I used my Retro Rolled Flower Die-namics die and I love how it looks and it was really easy to roll up too. I added some leaves with my Die-namics Flower and Leaf Trio set and My Favorite Felt in Sour Apple Green. I also use my Die-nmaics Scallop Ribbon Border and Simply Scallops Border Die-nmaics. One of the sentiments that comes with Emma is stamped on the Die-nmaics File Tab.
Photobucket

Here is the inside...I distress the edges again, added another Retro Rolled Rose and stamped another sentiment that comes with Emma on the Label Die from the You Move Me Stamp and Die-nmaics set.

Well, Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge and for the MFT September GDT Contest!

Hope you have a stampin' Great Day!

The New Inlinkz Link Manager and my First Christmas card of 2011!!!

Photobucket

Hey stampin' friends! I am sure you have seen the buzz around blogland about the new Inlinkz Linkz Manager that launched on September 3rd and perhaps you've noticed the way I am linking my supplies under each of my projects now. Those little thumbnails of the products that link directly to a store where readers can locate or get more info on the product. Are you curious how you can do that too? Well, I am very excited to finally share this great new feature with all of you! Let me introduce you to a new service: Link Manager by Inlinkz! This feature is soooooo awesome! I can't tell you how much a hate having to add links one by one in the text of my posts and how inefficient it is to have to search for, copy and paste URLs for all the products that I use regularly, every time I do up a post. The Inlinkz Link Manager makes this so much easier and faster. It is a tool where you can make a pool of all the supplies you use and then create lists of products for your posts just by dragging and dropping the thumbnail. It is such a time saver! Here is a short video by Kristina Werner that will walk you through the tool. I can asuure you though the Link Manager is very user friendly and If I can figure it out, I know you will have no trouble at all.

Here is a coupon you can use to register : 25535579. This coupon will let you in the Inlinkz Link Manager for free until December! So go ahead, join and play around. I am sure you will love it as much as do.
Now, I do have a card to share with you today too. My first Christmas card of the season and I thought I would make this card so you can also see the Inlinkz Link Manger in use. There is a supplies list at the bottom of this post with little thumbnail pics of the supplies I have used to make this card and if you click on the thumbnail it will take you to a website where you can buy and or get more info.

Photobucket
For my card I cracked open my new BasicGrey Nordic Holiday 6x6 paper pad and I will be using this for all my Christmas cards this year. It is so gorgeous. I love the blues especially and the Nordic themed prints are so pretty and homey. I also used this sweet MFT A La Mode Candy Cane Kisses stamp. I coloured her up with my Copics and added some gorgeous new Twinery Twine in Denim...this new colour is scrumptious. I added a few Prima flowers and used my MFT Die-namics Let it Snowflake dies and my Simply Scalloped Scallop Die-namics. I also used a little clear bling to add some sparkle.

Photobucket

Here is the inside...pretty simple I stamped a shadow stamp of the A La Mode Girlie!
