Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - KKS Sketch Challenge, KKS #347 and CQ#357...I'm Batty For You!

Happy Labour Day, Krafty Friends! Just popping by quickly to share a card that I made today with some super cute NEW Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps....I could not resist these adorable little Halloween Owls!

I am playing along with the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 347 - Clean and Simple (yes, this is my take on clean and simple) and I also used the KKS September Sketch. The colour combo is from The Colour Q E 357!

I used MFT Hevyweight Cardstock in Black Licorice, Razzle Berry, Orange Fizz and Sweet Tooth

LOVE the KKS September Sketch!

I had to ink up this sweet little Owl-witch from the KKS Happy Owl-oween Stamp set and I used the adorable little bats and sentiment from the KKS Harvest Blessings Stamp set. I stamped the images on Strathmore Bristol with Archival Brilliance Black Graphite Ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I coloured up the image with my Zig True Color Real Brush markers and cut them image out with my Pierced Rectangle STAX Die-namics. I put the image back in the die and inked with Carved Pumpkin Distress ink.

I also used Tim Holtz Distress ink in Picked Raspberry and Ripe Persimmon to make my background paper with the "Smooshing Technique".

I stamped the sentiment from the Harvest Blessings Stamp set on the tag and tied it with some hemp cord and added a Sparkly White YNS Gumdrop! I also added some black splatters with Heidi Swapp Colour Shine Spray in Black Velvet.

I finished the inside of the card too, as I often do....I stamped a shadow image of the sweet owl and her bat friends in Razzle Berry Premium Dye Ink and stamped another sweet sentiment from the Happy Owl-oween Stamp Stamp set

Thanks SO much for stopping by and havin' a little look-see at my Batty For You card for the KKS Challenge # 347, September KKS Sketch Challenge and The CQ357!

Reverse Confetti - TCD #408 & Simon Says Wednesday Challenge...Toucan of Friendship

Hello tweet stampin' friends! I've really wanted to ink up these adorable toucans and tropical flowers ever since I got my Reverse Confetti happy mail! If you visit my blog you know I'm a total Disney nerd and this Toucan of Friendship stamp set  totally reminds me of the Enchanted Tiki Room...LOVE!!! I also wanted to join one of my all time favorite challenges - The Color Throwdown - CTD408...I knew the primary colours would be perfect for my two toucans at the Enchanted Tiki Room, lol!

I used MFT Heavyweight Cardstock in Black Licorice and Smooth White and I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean

I am also entering my card in the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes!

I wanted to colour my two toucans from the Toucan of Friendship Stamp set with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens but to date I haven't really loved the results that I have been getting. I stumbled upon a tip from Kristina Werner  while watching this video and I am passing it along to you because it's a really GOOD one! She highly recommends using Strathmore Bristol paper instead of regular watercolor paper. So, I immediately ran out and got some Bristol from Michael's! Hallelujah!!! It made a world of difference...I am telling you it is a game-changer! I think with a little more practice, I will be much happier with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens.

There's lots of Confetti Cuts on this card too....All Framed Up, Big Stripes Cover Panel, Detailed Circles, the speech bubble is from the Jolly Holiday Confetti Cuts and I also stamped a cake from the Later Alligator Stamp set and Later Alligator Confetti Cuts.

I also did one more thing that I think helped keep the colours from bleeding into each other...I stamped the images with Archival Brilliance Black Graphite Ink and then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder....the raised embossed edge keeps the colours from bleeding into each other. You can see the embossed lines in this photo...it also adds a pretty glossy detail.
I cut a circle of Smooth Heavyweight Cardstock and inked it with Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress ink and sprinkled it with a few water drops then adhered it behind the circle opening in the Big Stripes Cover Panel. Finally, I embellished with some yellow YNS Gumdrops and a little Hemp cord

Thanks SO much for popping by and havin' a little look at my Toucan Tiki Room card :D for the Color Throwdown # 408 and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Sept. 1...All Apples

Hello stampin' friends! We have another challenge over at the Curtain Call and it's perfect for back to school! I LOVE the colours in this inspirational photo and instantly pulled out my Reverse Confetti All Apples Stamp set and All Apples Confetti Cuts

I used MFT Heavyweight Cardstock in Black Licorice, Sour Apple and Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I also used MFT Jelly Bean Green, Sour Apple and Wild Cherry Premium Dye Ink
I went looking for a sketch and found this FAB sketch over at Mojo Monday # 463. I LOVED the idea of making a tall and skinny card  3.5 X 5.5 (I had to reposition the belly band to include the embossed sentiment...hope that's okay?)

I made the watercoloured paper with the "smooshing technique"...totally addicted to it right now. I used Tim Holtz Distress ink in Festive Berries, Fired Brick Red, Twisted Citron, Black Soot and Mowed Lawn.  I used my Reverse Confetti Stitched Flag Trio Confetti Cuts and the Edge Essentials Confetti Cuts.

I stamped two different apples from the All Apples Stamp set, cut them out with the coordinating All Apples Confetti Cuts and tucked one under the belly band and popped one up on the band. I stamped and heat embossed a white sentiment from the A Friend Like You Stamp set

Thanks SO much for stopping by and havin' a wee peek at my  All Apples card for the September 1 Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Candy Apple and the Mojo Monday # 463 Sketch Challenge. I hope you can join us for the Curtain Call challenge
