Photobucket

I made a little card today just for this special occasion with these pretty papers from Echo Park Paper Co. So Happy Together 6x6 paper pad. I used this sweet little PI Water Lily Girl. I coloured her with my Copics and paper pieced her dress. I used the Dainty Lace Border Die-nmaics, Layered Hearts Die-namics and I stamped a sentiment from the PI Water Lily set on pattern paper cut with the larger of the two ribbon dies from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics.

Well, thanks SO much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card with the sweet PI Water Lily Girl. Now swing on over to the Kim's Blog for a list of all the designers who are participating in the MFT Design Team Creative Chat today and also swing by Mona's blog to say hi!

La-La Land Crafts....Inspiration Friday Guest Designer...Circle Card!!!

Photobucket

Hello stampin' friends! We have a fun La-La Land Crafts Inspiration Friday theme for you this week....CIRCLE Card!

Sadly, this is my last week guesting with La-La Land Crafts. I have had such a wonderful time and want to thank Irina and Sandie for their kindness and generosity. It was SO great being a part of the Inspiration Friday team for the last few months and all the LLLC Designers have just been so sweet and wonderful to work with! Thank you Irina and ladies for letting me play along with you for the last 3 months.

Photobucket
So for my card, I decided to put my Silhouette Digital Craft Cutter to work and cut an Open Scallop Doily GSD file. I cut two and scored the top of the back scallop circle, to bend and act as the easel. I adhered it with a little scor-tape so it is good and secure. I also cut the circle cardstock mats and my pattern paper circle on my Silhouette. I created the circles with the Draw tool and made it so that they nested.

I bought a 12X12 My Minds Eye paper pack at Winners for like $4.00 called Good Day Sunshine Girl. I don't normally like to use 12X12 papers for cards as I think that the pattern gets lost but I cut the scalloped circles rather large so the papers worked perfectly. I also used several of the die-cuts from the co-ordinating die-cut sheet from the paper pack.

I used the super cute NEW Summer Marci and the sentiment is from the NEW Popsicle Marci. I coloured Summer Marci with my Copics and cut her out and pop-dotted her on the card. I added a few buttons and some cotton trim for embellishments.

Well, thanks SO much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my CIRCLE card for this week's La-La Land Friday Inspirational. Now head on over to the LLLC Blog and check out all of the gorgeous creations my the other LLLC DT. You can upload your creations to the La-La Land Crafts Customer Gallery too…you just might be the next lucky winner at the end of the month!

Happy Stampin'!

Photobucket

So, I made a card and decorated my new button storage jars! First up  though is my card...I used the Artist Palette and Brush Die-namics and the Clearly Sentimental About Art Stamp set. I also used the Medium Simply Scallops border Die-namics and used each scallop as a "home" for a pretty button from the Cherries Jubilee and Strawberry Cheesecake Color Blenders packages from BG&M. I also used some Maraschino Twinery Twine from MFT. The sentiment from the CS About Art stamp set is stamped on white card cut with the Fishtail Flags Die-namics.
Photobucket

This is the inside of my card...I used the sweet PI You Color My World Girl and another sentiment from the CS about Art stamp set and a little cluster of pretty Cherries Jubilee Buttons from Buttons Galore and More.

Photobucket

I needed a pretty way to store the buttons so I bought a few jars at the dollar store. I wanted to get all the tall glass jars with the glass lids but they only had 4 so I had to settle for 3 smaller jars. I cut chalkboard paper and mats with the Designer Label 3 STAX and ran everything through my Xyron for a good strong adhesive and adhered them to the jars and then added a coordinating button on each of the labels. I think it adds a little splash of colour to my craftroom shelf.
Photobucket
Here is a closer look at the pretty jars of buttons!!! I wrote the names of the button colours on the chalkboard paper label with a chalkboard marker.
Photobucket

Well, thanks SO much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card and button storage for the MFT and Buttons Galore and More blog hop. I coloured the ALM Picture Perfect girl with my Copics and paper pieced her camera and out-fit. I stuck pretty closely to this week's fab sketch and used the Pretty Posies Die-namics as the sketch called for and I stamped the sweet sentiment that comes in the ALM Picture Perfect set on white card cut with one of the tab dies from the Mini Tab Foursome Die-namics. I added some Transparent Viva Decor Gloss Pen to the flash and viewfinder on her camera and a sprinkling of pink gems here and there for some sparkle.

I always LOVE the MFT sketches and this is a fab one too...one to use again for sure! Now, did you notice anything new or different about this card. Well, I am super proud of myself because.....I SEWED....yup, real sewing not stamped on sewing or faux sewing but real, big girl, machine sewing....Whoo hoo!!! Now, after I've said all that please don't look too closely because it is quite badly done and VERY wonky! I have a very old clunker of a sewing machine that is temperamental and I'm not very good at sewing but I am still proud of myself for making the effort even if it took me a good part of a day to figure out how to do it....and then to redo it, lol! I took the old clunker in to get oiled and cleaned and to get it back in working condition. Apparently, it has almost no tension (whatever that means). So I am looking forward to getting it back and seeing if that helps with my sewing or not.

So, for my card I used this adorable Pure Innocence Sweet Greetings girl. I coloured her with my Copics and paper pieced her out fit. I used this scrumptious new BasicGrey Paper Cottage 6x6 pad!!! I added lots of Star Dust Stickles to her cotton candy and added some American Crafts ribbon from my stash with a gorgeous NEW Blue Raspberry MFT button....the new buttons are totally scrumptious!!!I also used the Rectangle STAX Die-namics, Fishtail Flags STAX and Bracket Tab Die-namics.

Photobucket

Here is the inside of my card...I stamped the Sweet Greetings girl again in Lady Bug Memento ink and did a little more stitching...by the time I got to the inside of my card my sewing had slightly improved....but only ever so slightly.  Here I've use my all time favourite, Layered Labels Die-namics with the ribbon die from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics and I used the Mix and Match Banner Die-namics.

Well, thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card that I made with the fabulous MFT sketch for the August MFT Guest DT Contest. I hope you give it a go and play along!!! Good luck!!!

Happy Stampin'!

For my card today I inked up the sweet Pure Innocence, Good Fortune stamp that hadn't seen ink yet, shameful, I know!  I paired her with the pretty BasicGrey Konnetchwa 6X6 papers, a perfect combination! I coloured the Good Fortune girl with my Copics and paper pieced her Kimono. I added one Konnetchiwa Fabric Brad and used my Mini Scallop Edge Die-namics and Rectangle STAX Die-namics. Photobucket
