My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 45....Knit Happens!

Hello stampin' friends! Hope you have been enjoying the weekend. Well, my mom and dad should be on the cruise ship, Allure of the Seas, now and setting sail for the Caribbean soon. I am just wee bit jealous but very excited for them! I hope they can manage to relax and enjoy their vacation and the spectacular ship. Chris and I went on, Oasis of the Seas, it's sister ship and it is really something to see.

So, I made a card today for the My Favorite Things, Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch Challenge # 45! I really luv this sketch and I'll be using it again for sure! I decided to ink up this super cute ALM girlie from the set Knit Happens and I teamed her up with some gorgeous papers from the new BasicGrey Little Black Dress...this is my new fave BG papers at the mo!

I coloured the ALM girl with my copics and paper pieced her sweater, hat and leggings. I used lots of Die-namics on this card too, The Tag from Tag You're It Die-namics and Stamp Set, which I embossed with my Argyle Cuttlebug folder, the Perfect Petal Flower Trio and the Wonky Scallop border Die-namics...love, love, love the Wonky Scallop Border. The cute wood buttons were a find at Micheals in the $1.50 bins. The polka dot ribbon was bright white so I coloured it with a Copic Marker to make the spots more of a cream colour. I added a little cotton lace trim and stamped a sentiment from the ALM Knit Happens set on a tag cut with a QuicKutz die.

Here is the inside...I stamped the ALM Girl again with Desert Sand Memento ink and the sentiment and XOXO are from the More Essential Sentiments set. I stamped it on a frame cut with the Well Worn Greetings Die-namics and stamped the XOXO on the Die-namics dog tag.

My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 43 & November 2011 GDT Contest....Hey, Pumpkin!

Hello stampin' friends! I hope you are having fun with the last minute preparations for Halloween. We have been doing some pumpkin carving and Hannah still hasn't decided on a costume...eeek!

Well, I wanted to use this gorgeous My Minds Eye Halloween paper, Mischievous, before Halloween is over. I teamed it up with this absolutely adorable Pure Innocence stamp set from My Favorite Things, Pumpkin Patch Girl. When I saw this cutie in her turtle neck sweater...I just had to have her! I LOVE turtle necks! She is so cute and cozy looking, don't ya think?

I made this card with this week's MFTWSC sketch # 43 and I also made it for the November Guest Design Team Challenge...this month the challenge is....Bling It On!!!!! 

I cut a little treat bag on my Silhouette Digital Craft Cutter to coordinate with my card and put a few Lindor chocolates inside. I found some gorgeous black bling Swirls called Nestabling by Want2Scrap at Winners the other day for a steal. I got a bundle of various bling shapes for $5.99. The bling coordinates with your Spellbinders Nestibilites shapes and there is some other shapes too. I have used the Swirls and individual little Rhinestone gems on my card and treat bag. 

I coloured this cute Pumpkin Patch Girl with my Copics, paper pieced her outfit and the pumpkins in her wagon, cut her out and pop-dotted her on the long panel. I added a little bling to the wagon wheels and some Twinery Twine.

Here is the inside of the card....I shadow stamped the PI cutie again, added another sentiment from the Pumpkin Patch Girl set on the Framed Greetings Die-namics die and I added a heart from the Hearts of Plenty Die-namics set, cut from Adhesive Cork Material.

My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 38....Wishing You the Sweetest Things!

Hey crafty friends! Well, I am so glad to say that I have Internet access again. My modem went on the blink and I had to wait several days until the repair guy could come and replace it.  Well, I thought I would make a card for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club challenge. They have another great sketch this week, as always. I deviated from it a bit but I think you can still see the sketch peeking through.

My daughter's friend, Rebbecca, asked me to make a birthday card for her Mom. This is what we came up with....this cute A La Mode girl really reminded her of her mom....very stylish in her wedge heels and loving texting on her new blackberry and the pretty pink papers from the Uncommon Authentique 6x6 paper pad!

I coloured the A La Mode Girl from the set called I Need Some Face Time with my Copics and cut out around the image and pop-dotted her on the card with the sentiment that I stamped using the Die-namics Polka Dot Die and Stamp set. I also cut two Die-namics Butterflies from QuicKutz Adhesive Cork Material...love this chunky cork too.

My Favourite Things Stamps...WSC # 32....Daughters are...!

Hey crafty friends! Hope you had a relaxing weekend and perhaps you had a little crafty time too! I sure did! I made this card following the sketch that they have this week for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge # 32! I decided to make an easel card for my friend who just had her first baby...a beautiful little girl!!! I used my new A La Mode Bundle of Baby stamp set which was perfect for my card! I just adore this sweet stamp and I teamed it up with some pretty MME Stella Rose, Gertie 6x6 papers! I coloured the image with my Copics and paper pieced her top, leggings and the blanket. I added some shading with my Prismacolor pencils and stamped around the edges of the image with my "Splotch" stamp from Rosewood Stamps.

I used my MFT Simply Scalloped Die-namics die and my Pretty Posies, Perfect Petals and Flower and Leaf Trio Die-namics to make all the flowers. I cut them from MFT My favorite Felt...I soooooo love the MFT felt it is fabulous stuff and cuts beautifully with the Die-namics dies. I cut the cork buttons with the Button Quartet Die-nmaics. I used one of the sentiments that comes with the Bundle of Baby stamp set and stamped it on a tag that I cut with a QuicKutz dies.

Here is the inside/bottom of the easel card...I stamped a shadow image in Lady Bug Memento ink and this sentiment is from a set that came in the Baby Bump MFT VIP kit.

BasicGrey Challenges # 45 and Magnolia Down Under Challenge # 98...Cherish!



Hey stampin' friends! I am back with another card today.  I made this card for BasicGrey Challenges, which is, is Shabby Chic and at Magnolia Down Under Challenges, Kylie, has designed a gorgeous sketch for us to use! I will definitely be using this gorgeous sketch again, Kylie!!!

Once again we have a fabulous prize at BasicGrey Challenges. To be eligible for the generous $25.00  gift voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore you need to make a Shabby Chic project and use at least one BasicGrey product on your card or creation and indicate in your post what BG item you have used. For the MDUC challenge we ask that you use a Magnolia stamp on your creation and we have a wonderful prize up for grabs this week too from our very own talented Denise, a set of her new gorgeous papers!!!

For my card this week I used this sweet stamp, Tilda with Butterfly Jeans. She is just too cute for words! I coloured her with my Copics and cut her out and then pop-dotted her on the rectangle mat cut from a rectangle Nesties.  I used BasicGrey Cappella 6x6 papers and 3 painted BG brads but I am not sure which line they are from. I roughed up the edges of the papers with my Tim Holtz Paper Distressing tool and then pained the papers with Picket Fence Distress Crackle paint. I am really loving the gauze that I am seeing on so many gorgeous vintage and Shabby cards out there in blogland. So, I raided the first aid kit and used some gauze on this card for the first time and I love it....I spritzed it with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist first and let it dry. I added some cotton lace trim, crinkled seam binding and I also used my Magnolia Tilda Lace border die. I pained the Prima flowers with the white crackle paint too and then added the BG brads to the centres. The butterflies are cut from QuicKutz cork material with my Martha Stewart Butterfly punch and then pained with white crackle paint. I added a few half pearls here and there. The sentiment is a Melissa Frances rub-on, on a tag cut with a QuicKutz tag die.

My Favorite Things...WSC Challenge # 14...Go Team CHS!

I have a quick post this morning to share a card I made for the MFTWSC14 sketch Challenge. I thought I would ink up this sweet A La Mode All Star girlie and I thought I would make this card to cheer on the CHS Durham Quest team that will be involved in our fundraising and awareness event called CHS Quest on May 29th. I work for The Canadian Hearing Society as an American Sign Language/English interpreter. We are having a really cool event that is a smart phone based scavenger hunt. All the info for CHS Quest can be found here. 

For my card I coloured up this sweet All Star A La Mode Girl with my Copics and added some shading with my Prismacolor Pencils. I cut the image out with my circle Nesties and inked with Scattered Straw Distress ink. I added the letters CHS with small alphabet stamp set that I have had forever. I used my new Lily Bee This and That 6x6 paper pad that I picked up on the weekend at ScrapFest. I stamped the sentiment on kraft cardstock cut with the die that comes in the Die-namics Framed Greetings Stamp and Die set. I also added some cork butterflies with my Butterfly Die-namics and MS butterfly punch! The butterfly is a significant symbol at CHS as most butterflies are deaf! "CHS has adopted the butterfly to symbolize the work that we do. The miracle of transformation that every butterfly goes through parallels the experience of many culturally Deaf, oral deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people, who with the help of our programs and services, emerge ready to spread their wings."  

Here is the inside...pretty simple...I love stamping the shadow images on the inside and I used another one of the sentiments that comes in the All Star stamp set.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 73...Michele's Fab Sketch...Happy BIRTH Day!

Hey Krafty friends! I am so excited that it is the weekend!!! Today Hannah and I are heading to Kitchener for ScrapFest to help out with the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps booth! It's also time for another fun Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge! This week Michele has designed a beautiful sketch and she used the super sweet Lucy from the Moonlight Whispers collection on her gorgeous card! So, if you join us for this week's challenge and you use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp on you creation then you will be entered into the random draw to win your very own Lucy stamp! So what are you waiting for....get krafty!!!!

So, for my card I used this darling image called Diana from the Everyday Girls March release. I coloured her with my Copics and cut the image out leaving a small white border around the edge.  I used, what few scraps, I have left of the scrumptious Echo Park, Life is Good paper....I am so sad that this pretty paper is all gone! I added some Prima Flowers and American Crafts ribbon. The sentiment is a Melissa Frances rub-on. I also cut a few hearts using QuicKutz dies and added a wee button. 

Here is the inside....I stamped a shadow image with Memento Rich Coca ink and used one of the sentiments that comes with the Diana stamp as well as an accessory stamp. I used one of the dies from the My Favorite Things Sweet Stack Die-namics set and the Die from the Polka Dots Greeting Stamp and die set.

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #90 - Metal Mania...Sweet Wonderful You!

Hey stampin' friends! I am back this afternoon to share the card I made for this week's Magnolia Down Under Challenge! The challenge is Metal Mania!!! I hope you can join us this week! The MDUC DT have gorgeous creations to inspire you this week so please stop by the MDU Challenge blog and have a peek and leave them some love!!!

I used more Hello Luscious paper and I coloured up this absolutely adorable Tilda with Flower Pot, from the Butterfly Dreams collection, with my Copics! I just love her to bits....sooooo cute!!!! I stamped a Magnolia sentiment on a tag cut with a QuicKutz die and I also used one of my CatsLife Press seal stamps, Officially Spring. I used two Making Memories metal butterflies to comply with this week's challenge to use some metal....I thought they were the perfect little embellishment too and I even bent up the wings a bit to add some dimension. To finish it off I add some gorgeous satin ribbon, green half pearls and some Stickles.  

Here is the inside...pretty simple, as always. I used a sentiment from the My Favorite Things More Essential Sentiments set and I used a MFT die-namics die.

BasicGrey Challenges # 40 and Magnolia Down Under Challenges # 88...Celebrate!

Good morning stampers! Time for another fun challenge over at BasicGrey Challenges and Magnolia Down Under Challenges! Thanks so much for joining us for the MDUC 2nd Birthday Bash Blog Hop and thanks for joining us at BG Challenges too. So many beautiful creations! WOW! 

Well, I have have combined by card today and we have 2 fab challenges for you! At MDUC Jane has designed a gorgeous sketch and at BasicGrey Challenges, we would like to see you use a recycled item on your card or creation. Remember at BG Challenges you must use at least one item of BasicGrey product on you creation and please state in your post what you have used that is from the BasicGrey Range!  At MDUC we need to see a Magnolia product on your creation but it doesn't have to be Tilda or Edwin it can be any Magnolia stamp and or die. I really hope you can join us for both of these fabulous challenges!

For my card today, I used BG Kioshi 6x6 paper pad and I use a clothing tag off a pair of new Capri pants that I bought Hannah. The colours in the tag led me to use this gorgeous Kioshi papers....love them!! I used the tag as the rectangle on the sketch but repositioned it a bit so that you could still read what it says. I also used some Prima flowers and a roses and large rose is from WOC. I used this sweet Will you be my Valentine Tilda. Tilda was stamped on Copic Xpress it blending cardstock with Memento ink and I coloured her with my Copics and then I cut her out leaving a small white border and pop-dotted her on the card. The sentiment is a QuicKutz rub-on on a tag that I cut with a QuicKutz die.  I added some cotton lace trim, ribbon form my stash and a few pearls.

My Favourite Things Candy Time!!!

I was happy to get to use my Silhouette Digital Craft cutter to make this flower shaped card! I am quite happy with how it turned out! I cut 2 of the flower shapes on my Silhouette from American Crafts cardstock and 2 slightly smaller flowers from Nook and Pantry 12x12 BasicGrey paper. The middle of the flower is a Nestie Circle cut with more Nook and Pantry BG paper. I matted with the green AC cardstock and I love how it just adds a pop of colour. I added a scrumptious seam binding crinkled double bow with a BG button and some hemp twine. I used this adorable Tilda called Tilda with Big Ribbon! I love that you can see her bloomers,smile! I added the Melissa Frances rub-on to a tag that I cut with a QuicKutz 2x2 die. I sprinkled some half pearls here and there and added some cork Butterflies for my wings!!!

To make the card stand up I made a score mark on the top of the petal of the back flower and added adhesive. 

This is the inside...I used a Magnolia sentiment from the You are So Special collection and I stamped it on white card that I cut out with the My Favorite Things Framed Greetings and Die-namics die set.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps & Cute Card Thursday # 153...Happy Day!!

Good morning Krafty friends! Just a quick post this morning to let you know that Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is sponsoring the challenge this week at Cute Card Thursday! For my card, I followed the fabulous sketch but I did flip the position of the sentiment and flowers as things just fit better on my card that way! I used this fabulously fun Gal, Patsy from the new Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Fifties inspired release. Patsy totally reminds me of one of my fave TV shows, Happy Days....she is sooooo fun! I teamed her up with some Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday paper. I coloured Patsy with my Copics, of course and then cut the image out with my Circle Nesties using the "Out of the Box" technique, left the image in the die and inked with Spun Sugar Distress ink. The sentiment is actually cut from the Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday Elements sheet and I embellished with some seam binding, Prima flowers and pink Pearls. I also used my My Favorite Things Open Scallop Die-namics border die and the photo turns are cut with a QuicKutz 2x2 die.

Here is the inside... I stamped the Jukebox from the new release with Memento ink in Rose Bud and I stamped one of the two sentiments that comes with the Jukebox stamp!
