La-La Land Crafts...Inspiration Friday Guest Designer...Happy Birthday!

Photobucket

Hello stampin' friends! Today we have a new theme for the La-La Land Inspirational Friday - Birthday! I thought it was the perfect time to ink up Heart Balloon Marci. I paired her up with this pretty Authentique paper pad called Uncommon.
Photobucket
I coloured Marci with my Copics and paper pieced her dress, hairband and balloon, then cut her out and pop-dotted her on the Oval Panel cut with Oval Dainty Doily Die-namics and my Oval STAX Die-namics. I pulled out my handy dandy Kelly Panacci Stitching Stamps and stamped with Walnut stain Distress ink. I embellished with some pink satin ribbon and pink half pearls. The sentiment is from the MFT Big Greetings stamp set and stamped on white card cut with Fishtail Flags STAX and I inked with Spun Sugar Distress ink.

Well, thanks SO much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card for the Birthday theme, Inspirational Friday, for La-La Land Crafts.  Now, head on over to the LLLC blog and see all the gorgeous creations by the LLLC Inspiration Friday DT! You can upload your creations to the La-La Land Crafts Customer Gallery too…you just might be the next lucky winner at the end of the month!

La-La Land Crafts...Inspirational Die Showcase...Life is a Journey!

Photobucket

Hey stampin' friends! Today both the Monday and Friday Inspirational teams are holding a La-La Land Crafts Die Showcase to share all the fabulous new LLLC Dies! Today I have made a card with Travel Marci and used the gorgeous NEW Street Lamp Post and one of the pretty butterflies from the NEW Butterflies Set 1. To kick off the new dies release we are having a 10% off sale for 2 days only for June 4th and 5th, just use this discount code INTRO10.

Also, at this time LLLC is not shipping the Dies to Australia and New Zealand. If you are in Australia or New Zealand please contact your local craft store to purchase our dies. If you need to find store location, please email Copic X-Press at jacqui@xpressgraphx.com.au and they will be happy to assist you.

So,  I teamed Travel Marci up with these pretty MME papers called Six by Six, Paris & Co....I love blue and brown together...très chic! I thought I would add a little stitching to my card but sewing machines don't like me so instead I used my trusty 'ol Kelly Panacci Stitching Stamps and stamped with Brushed Corduroy Distress ink.

Photobucket
I coloured Travel Marci with my Copics and cut her out and pop-dotted her on on the card. The Street Lamp Die is cut from AC brown cardstock and I cut it a second time from AC yellow cardstock and adhered the piece behind the lamp so that there is a yellow glow from the lamp post.  I used the sweet sentiment that comes with Travel Marci and cut it out with my Fishtail Flags STAX and inked with Old Paper Distress ink.  I also added blue Satin ribbon, a smattering of blue half-pearls and one of the sweet LLLC butterflies from the Butterflies Set 1. I also created a second little butterfly by turning two of the negative "heart" shaped piece from the butterfly on their side and adding a few pearls for the body and drew in some antenna with a Copic Muliti-liner.

Photobucket

Here is the inside....I added a shadow image of travel Marci and another little butterfly. The sentiment is a combination of two sentiment from the MFT More Essential Sentiments set. I turned the MFT Sweet Stack Die-namics on its side and a few more blue half-pearls!

Thanks SO much for stopping by today and having a wee peek at my Travel Marci card featuring the new LLLC Lamp Post and Butterfly dies! Please visit the LLLC blog for a list of all the DT with cards to share showcasing the fabulous new LLLC Dies.

Happy Stampin'!
Hugs,

Photobucket
For my card I have used this sweet stamp called Daisy Mae. I thought she would look pretty in a pink tutu. I coloured her with my Copics and cut her out using the "Out of the Box" technique, I embossed the image and then used the Oval Nestibilites Die as a stencil and inked with Tumbled Glass Distress ink. The sketch called for a scalloped edge on the horizontal panel but I used my Perfect Bracket Edge Die-namics instead. I also added a little stamped stitching with my Kelly Panacci Stitching stamps and Brushed Corduroy Distress ink.  I added lots of pink half-pearls and stamped the sentiment that comes with Daisy on patterned paper cut with the larger ribbon Die from the First Place Awards Ribbon Die-namics.

Photobucket
Here is the inside...I stamped Daisy again with Pink Memento ink...she is very faint though. I used one of my fave KKS sentiments from Kimmie's Everyday Sentiment set and stamped it on the papers cut with the Layered Labels Die-namics.

Thanks SO much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card for this week's Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge and for the new March Annie Preview! My Favorite Things Stamps...January GDT Contest & MFTWSC52!

Photobucket
Hey stampin' friends! It is good to be blogging again! This is my first post for 2012...Whoo hoo! We went to Disneyland in California for the Christmas holiday and just got back on 30th! It is SO good to be home! We had a good time but a few things didn't go as planned and well, it wasn't the best vacation ever...just okay!  Well, I missed stamping and making cards so I thought I would get inky and join the MFT January Guest Designer Contest! The challenge is Paper Piecing and I LOVE to paper piece!

I was inspired by this sweet Echo Park 6x6 paper pack called Country Drive and thought it would be fun to make 5 coordinating Valentines. The papers had cute little ladybugs, bees, butterflies and birdies on them so I pulled out 5 different Pure Innocence stamp sets that co-ordinated with the patterned papers and I paper pieced all the PI Girls. Just to warn you this post is rather long as there are lots of pics of all 5 cards.

I also took the opportunity to play along with the last sketch of 2011 for the MFTWSC challenge. The first card, Bee Mine, is using the MFTWSC52. I also used some other sketches that I didn't get a chance to use this past year. MFT is having a fun contest over at Splitcoast Stampers MFT Forum too. If you have made 1-52 cards with the 2011 MFTWSC sketches and posted them on Splitcoast then you should register, HERE,  in the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch Challenge - End of Year PARTY!

Photobucket
So for the first card, as I said, I used the MFTWSC sketch 52. I paper pieced this sweet Honey Bee and also coloured some parts of the patterned paper with my Copics. I used the Mini- Pennants Die-namics and the Die from the First Class Friend Stamps and Die-namics set.
Photobucket
Here is the inside....very simple.
Photobucket
On this card I used Ladybug and matched her up with the ladybug papers in the Echo Park paper pack. I used the Double Scalloped Border Die-namics and the File Tab Die-namics.
I paper pieced the ladybug, coloured in her spots with my Copics and layered her wings for some extra dimension.
Photobucket
Here is the inside.

Photobucket
For this card I used Pure Innocence Butterfly Kisses stamp set. I paper pieced her body suit and wings and layered the wings and bent up the edges for some dimension.  I used MFTWSC Sketch # 51 for this card.

Photobucket
I stamped the sentiment on kraft cardstock cut with the Bracket Tab Die-namics and used my Simply Scalloped border Die-nmaics.
Photobucket
Here is the inside.

Photobucket
For card # 4 I used PI set called You're So Tweet. I paper pieced her and colourd her with my Copics.  I made this card following MFTWSC Sketch # 26!
Photobucket
I used the Decorative Doily Die-namics and stamped the sentiment on kraft cardstock cut with the ribbon die from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics.
Photobucket
This is the inside of the card.

Photobucket
And for the last card in the set. I used PI Feeling Froggy....love her to bits! I paper pieced her and gave her green jeans....how fun is that!!!! I Stamped her and the wee froggy and masked them and used the flowers from the Mud Buddies PI Set. I cut the image with my Oval Nesties, left the image in the die and inked with Tumbled Glass Distress ink and Old Paper Distress ink. I made this card following MFTWSC Sketch # 27!
Photobucket
I stamped the little froggy on the natural Twill tape again like I did on a previous card...love how this looks! I also used the speech bubbles from the Say What Die-namics set. I stamped "I Love You" from the Ladybug Set on one speech bubble and the word "Toad-ally" from one of the sentiments in the Feeling Froggy set on the smaller speech bubble.
Photobucket
and here is the inside!

Well, I hope you survived that post...rather lengthy, I know, sorry! Thanks SO much for stopping by and having a wee peek at all my Paper Pieced Valentine cards that I made for the January MFT Guest Designer Contest! Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for this one, smile!

Big Hugs,

My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 50....You Are a Gift!

Photobucket
Hey Stampin' Friends! Well, I think this will be my final card for 2011!  We are going away for the holidays...Whoo Hoo!!!! Tomorrow we're celebrating our family Christmas dinner at my parent's house since we won't be here on Christmas day! My brother is bringing his new girlfriend too and we are all very excited to meet Kate for the first time!

Well, I had a few more Christmas cards to make before we go and so I thought I would get sketchy with this week's MFTWSC # 50! I flipped the sketch as I wanted to use this sweet PI stamp set called PI Girl and Baby. I wanted to make a baby's First Christmas card for my friend and co-worker, Jen! She is off on Maternity leave with her new sweet little baby boy ( I got to hold him the other day too...SO precious) and so this little PI girl reminded me of her daughter holding her new baby brother!
Photobucket
I used these gorgeous papers from my Authentique Wonder 6x6 pad and Bazzill cardstock. I used my Clearly Sentiment Label Die-namics and Oval Nesties to create my own "layered label" in keeping with the sketch. I stamped one of the sentiments that comes with the PI Girl and Baby set on Kraft cardstock cut with the File Tab Die-namics. I coloured the little PI girl with my Copics and paper pieced her out-fit and the blanket.
Photobucket
Here is the inside of the card...I stamped two sentiments from the Clearly Sentimental about Christmas set.

Thanks SO much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my MFTWSC # 50 card and thank you so much for visiting my blog this year! I truly appreciate all of the SWEET comments!!! I hope everyone has a great Christmas with family and friends....and I hope Santa brings you lots of crafty and stamping goodies, smile!!!

Christmas Hugs,

If you join us for the challenge this week and use a KKS image on your card you will be entered into the random draw for your very own Wednesday stamp as used on Pam's gorgeous card!  For my card I inked up Voodoo Lady....isn't she fantastically scary!!! She is one of the six new Gothic Girls by Annie Rodrigue. I coloured her with my Copics and I had so much fun colouring her up...especially her hair...love her dreads! I stamped around the edge of the image with Kelly Panacci Flourish Border Stamp and Distress ink. I also used Stix2 Glue and Foil and added some bronze foil around the edges...I love how it turned out. I used some old MME called Spider's Web paper. I added some ribbon from my stash and some fab resin flowers and a little bling. The sentiment comes with Voodoo Lady and is stamped on kraft cardstock that I cut out with the MFT Bracket Tab Die-namics.
Photobucket
I have a second card to share with you featuring, Best Friends, by Annie Rodrigue. This was the special edition stamp made for the Krafty Day event that happened in October and will be available Sunday with the six new Gothic Girls for the November release. Again, I coloured the image with my Copics. I used Annalee Prima papers and flowers. The sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and from the Thankful Sentiment Set

Photobucket
I distressed all the edges of the papers and painted them with Distress Crackle paint in Picket Fence.
Photobucket
Here is the inside of the card and this sentiment comes with the Best Friends stamp!

My Favourite Things...Best Pumpkin!!!

Photobucket
Hey crafty friends! Just a quick post of a card that I made this week using one of the super cute new A La Mode stamps from My Favorite Things Stamps, October release. I wanted to ink her up before the fall season is over. I also used several MFT Die-namics on this card too. The layout is from the great sketch that they had last MFTWSC43.
Photobucket
I coloured this cute ALM girlie from the set, Sweetest Pumpkin in the Patch. I thought with the size of this pumpkin it would definitely win Best Pumpkin at any Fall fair, so, I made a ribbon with the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics. I teamed her up with this gorgeous MME paper, Mischievous 6x6 paper pad....love the colours and the great patterns in this pad! I used my wood grain Fence Die-namics for the first time and I just love it. I cut it from cream American Crafts cardstock and then used my Ranger ink applicator tool and my new Gathered Twigs Distress ink to enhance the wood grain embossing that your get when you cut the die. The fallen leaves were cut with the Branch and Leaves Die-nmaics die.
Photobucket
Here is the inside....I used the Die-namics Sweet Stack and a sentiment from an older MFT sentiment set. I stamped a shadow image of the cute ALM girl again.

Well, thanks so much stopping by and having a wee peek at my card!

Hope you have a stampin' great day!

My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 41....A Wagon Full of Love!!

Photobucket
Hey Stampin' friends! I am sharing this card tonight that I made for this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch Challenge....just getting it in under the wire! It's a great sketch again....don't know how the MFT DT keep coming up with such fab sketches week after week. I've flipped it around for this card but I think I will make another card with it the other way around too.

Photobucket

I have used this adorable Pure Innocence stamp called A Cart Full of Friends! I coloured the little PI girl with my Copics and paper pieced her dress. I added in grass with my Prismacolor Pencils and inked with Distress ink. The papers are from a MME 6x6 paper pad called A Happy Heart....they are gorgeous! I did some faux stitching using my Kelly Panacci Acrylic stitching stamps. I stamped the sentiment that comes with this set on a kraft cardstock cut with the Die-namics Bracket Tab. I added some pearls, crinkled seam binding and a button from my stash.

Photobucket
Here is the inside...this sentiment is from the PI set called Better Get Better.

well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card for the MFTWSC41!

Simon Says Stamp...A Colour Combo + Penny Black...Let's Do Lunch!!

Photobucket

Happy Hump day Stampin' friends! Yup! The long weekend is in sight! Whoo hoo!!!! Friday is Canada Day and so I would like to wish all my fellow Canadian Crafty and stampin' friends a very happy Canada Day long weekend! YAY!!!!! I hope you have lots of fun with friends and family and a little time to get crafty in between all the BBQin' and fireworks! Also, Sunday is my daughter, Hannah's 12th b-day and I can't believe how grown up she is now...where has the time gone!? She is almost as tall as I am now...how did that happen!? Well, I am kinda short so that isn't too difficult, smile! Well, the time sure flies by doesn't it!?

Well, today I have a card to share for the new challenge this week at Simon Says Stamp Challenge! last week you all made such gorgeous creations with Jane's beautiful sketch! Thank you so much for joining us! This week we have a lovely colour combo....Lemon and Lavender! Isn't that a lovely combo!!!! The DT are also featuring Penny Black stamps and we would love to see your PB creations but it is not a requirement of the challenge!

We have a very generous prize this week! As always, Heidi, is offering up a fab $50.00 gift voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore!!!! There are so many beautiful stamps and craft supplies in the Superstore you should really check it out!!!

Photobucket
So for my card today I have used one of the sweet PB Transparent stamps from the Mimi in Paris set. I love Mimi she is absolutely adorable! I love colouring her with my Copics too. She colours up  quickly and she always looks so cute! I stamped Mimi with VersaFine Black Onyx ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder to get a good crisp stamped image. I then coloured her with my Copics, cut the image out with my Circle Nesties and inked with Mustard Seed Distress ink. Don't colour with your Copics and VersFine ink as it is not compatable until your emboss with clear embossing powder. I matted the image using my Lacey Circle Nestie. I used LilyKate BasicGrey 6x6 pad. I stamped all the papers with my Kelly Panacci Stitching Stamps with Vintage Photo Distress ink. I added some yellow crinkled seam binding with a BasicGrey button! I added lots of purple bling here and there and all the way around the image. The sentiment is from a My Favourite Things Stamps set called Meet Me at the Cafe.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card! I hope you can squeeze in some crafty time and join the fun challenge that we have this week! Please stop by the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog and check out the beautiful Lemon and Lavender creations by our wonderful DT!
