My Favorite Things Stamps...MFT Color Challenge # 33 and Sunday Stamps # 114...Season's Tweetings

Hello stampin' friends! I had a chance to make a card and inked up this cute NEW PI girl - Season's Tweeting. I thought I would join the MFT Color Challenge # 33. I went looking for a sketch and fell in love with the great sketch that they have over at the Sunday Stamps Challenge # 114.

This is a great colour combo...I used MFT Heavyweight Card Stock in Electric Red, Primitive White Olive and Steel Grey. I made the card-base from Kraft Heavyweight Card Stock and stamped with MFT Electric Red Premium Dye ink

This is this Sunday Stamps sketch that I followed and I just love it...definitely one to use again!

I was excited to use my new Chevron Cover-Up that I picked up at my LSS on sale and paired it with my new Pure Innocence Stamp set Season's Tweetings. I made the stitched frame my cutting the Steel Grey Card Stock with the stitched panel from Blueprints 13 and used the largest Rectangle STAX Die-namics to cut out the centre to make a frame. I then popped it up with dimensional adhesive. I also used the Vertical Stitched Stripes Die-namics, the Stitched Circle STAX and my Circle STAX.

I coloured the PI Season's Tweeting girl and her little feathered friend with my Copics, cut them out with the coordinating Season's Tweeting Die-namics and I paper pieced the PI girl's out-fit with Authentique Joyous 6X6 papers. I popped her up on the circle panel. I stamped a sentiment from the PI Season's Tweetings Stamp set with Electric Red Premium Dye ink on Primitive White Heavyweight Card Stock and tied a little green AC hemp cord bow. I also added a smattering of cream Gumdrops.

I finished off the inside of my card too...I stamped a shadow image of the PI Season's Tweeting girl and bird in Electric Red Premium Dye Ink and used my all time favourite Layered Label Die-namics and stamped sentiment from the PI Warm Wishes Stamp set

Thanks SO much for stopping by and havin' a wee peek at my card for the MFT Color Challenge # 33 and Sunday Stamps # 114

My Favorite Things Stamps...Snow Cool!

Photobucket
Hello Stampin' Friends! I made this card last night to add to my Christmas card pile. I think this little PI Snowboard Boy is sooooo cute and I teamed him up with these gorgeous BasicGrey Nordic Holiday 6x6 papers. I used lots of Die-namics on this card again...LOVE my Die-namics! When I stamped the PI boy I decided to add the wee ski mask that comes in the set. I inked up the image and then wiped away one of the black lines that make a stripe on the hat with a baby wipe before stamping it. I then stamped the image and then the mask and drew in the strap with a black Copic Multi-liner pen. I coloured the image with my Copics and then cut out around the image and pop dotted it on the circle panel.
Photobucket
I made the snow moguls by layering the Jumbo Scalloped border and WoNkY border Die-namics and then cut them again with my Circle Nestie so they would fit perfectly on the panel. I embellished with some snowflakes cut with the Let it Snow Die-namics and added BG brads to the centres. I used the Mini Pennants Die-namics and stamped two different words from two of the sentiments in the set to make this "punny" sentiment. I also used the Icicles Border Die-namics and some Stone Twinery Twine with a BG button.

Photobucket
Here is the inside....I stamped a shadow image of the Snowboard PI boy and stamped a sentiment that comes in PI Holiday Hugs Snowman set and used the Sweet Stack Die-namics with more Let it Snow Snowflakes.

Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card and be sure to swing by Kim's blog for a list of all the MFT DT and GDT who have cards for Day 2 of the MFTeaser Time!
Happy Stampin'!

My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 43 & November 2011 GDT Contest....Hey, Pumpkin!

Photobucket
Hello stampin' friends! I hope you are having fun with the last minute preparations for Halloween. We have been doing some pumpkin carving and Hannah still hasn't decided on a costume...eeek!

Well, I wanted to use this gorgeous My Minds Eye Halloween paper, Mischievous, before Halloween is over. I teamed it up with this absolutely adorable Pure Innocence stamp set from My Favorite Things, Pumpkin Patch Girl. When I saw this cutie in her turtle neck sweater...I just had to have her! I LOVE turtle necks! She is so cute and cozy looking, don't ya think?

I made this card with this week's MFTWSC sketch # 43 and I also made it for the November Guest Design Team Challenge...this month the challenge is....Bling It On!!!!!
Photobucket
I cut a little treat bag on my Silhouette Digital Craft Cutter to coordinate with my card and put a few Lindor chocolates inside. I found some gorgeous black bling Swirls called Nestabling by Want2Scrap at Winners the other day for a steal. I got a bundle of various bling shapes for $5.99. The bling coordinates with your Spellbinders Nestibilites shapes and there is some other shapes too. I have used the Swirls and individual little Rhinestone gems on my card and treat bag.
Photobucket
I coloured this cute Pumpkin Patch Girl with my Copics, paper pieced her outfit and the pumpkins in her wagon, cut her out and pop-dotted her on the long panel. I added a little bling to the wagon wheels and some Twinery Twine.
Photobucket
Here is the inside of the card....I shadow stamped the PI cutie again, added another sentiment from the Pumpkin Patch Girl set on the Framed Greetings Die-namics die and I added a heart from the Hearts of Plenty Die-namics set, cut from Adhesive Cork Material.

Thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card!

Hope you have a Happy Halloween with lots of yummy treats!!!

It's a great sketch again....don't know how the MFT DT keep coming up with such fab sketches week after week. I've flipped it around for this card but I think I will make another card with it the other way around too.

Photobucket

I have used this adorable Pure Innocence stamp called A Cart Full of Friends! I coloured the little PI girl with my Copics and paper pieced her dress. I added in grass with my Prismacolor Pencils and inked with Distress ink. The papers are from a MME 6x6 paper pad called A Happy Heart....they are gorgeous! I did some faux stitching using my Kelly Panacci Acrylic stitching stamps. I stamped the sentiment that comes with this set on a kraft cardstock cut with the Die-namics Bracket Tab. Pink Ink Sketch Challenge # 7...Sending Well Wishes!

 Photobucket
Hey crafty friends! I'm back again with a card that I made for the Pink Ink Sketch Challenge! They have a gorgeous sketch there by Erica! So, I decided to make a shaker card....this is my very first time attempting this. I am always inspired every time I see one of Camilla's gorgeous shaker cards, so I finally decided to give it a go after reading her instructions on her blog. Don't look too closely on my card here, though, there are a few mistakes. I thought it would be harder than it really was...it is a wee bit fiddly though but I think my second time around will turn out better.
Photobucket
I have been digging into some old paper and I have used this cute Crate paper Called Paper Doll and I have used this sweet My Favorite Things Stamp, Pure Innocence Better Get Better. I coloured this sweet PI girl with my Copic markers and inked with Spun Sugar Distress ink around the image. I bought the Crystal clear acrylic plastic sheets at my LSS and I scored the diamond pattern on it acrylic circle and then used Ice White Viva Decor Pearl pen and added little drops at all the intersections of the grid. I found these cute little jars of micro-beads at the dollar store (Dollarama) and I used them in the shaker card with a little glass glitter. I also added some cork butterflies that I cut with my MFT Butterflies Die-namics.

Photobucket

Here's a close up of the shaker card and below is the inside. The sentiment is a combination of two sentiments from the Better get Better set and Spa Day Pure Innocence stamp sets.

My Favourite Things Stamps...WSC # 31....u r my Happy Day!

Photobucket

Hey  stampin' friends! I made this card today with the gorgeous sketch that they have for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge # 31!

I have to say making this card this afternoon was a very therapeutic little break for me. we have had a very distressing weekend. Hannah has had a severe allergic reaction to something and we can't pin point what it is exactly. I think she was either stung or bit by an insect or has got into some poison ivy or oak at day camp. Her face swelled right up and she broke out in a terrible, itchy rash all over her face, neck, chest and back. I took her to the walk-in clinic on Friday and we got some cream but then Saturday morning she woke up and was much worse and her face was so swollen, it was shocking. I took her to the hospital immediately and she is now on several medications. We are just waiting for the swelling in her face to go down. I feel so badly for her. She is so uncomfortable and the swelling around her eyes is causing pressure and pain and giving her a headache. It is starting to get better though and the meds are working.  The rash is fading and her energy and spirits are up a bit more today.  We just can't wait for the swelling in he face to go away completely and for her to back to her regular self!
Photobucket
So, for my card today I used papers from my BasicGrey 6x6 Oxford paper pad and teamed it up with this adorable little PI girl from the MFT Pure Innocence stamp set Popping By. I cut the large ticket shapes on my Silhouette Digital Craft Cutter from Kraft cardstock and stamped the image on one and then coloured it with my Prismacolor Pencils. I love the look of Pencils on Kraft paper. I have only ever done this once before so I thought I would give it a go again. I am quite happy with how she turned out. I used my new MFT  Die-namics Mini Ticket Strip Die and cut them from Kraft cardstock. I then separated them at the perforation. I stamped the sentiment from the MFT Die-namics Notched Tag Die and Stamp set on the mini tickets. I added a little pearl to the center for the flower in her hair and to her little Mary Janes with some Viva Decor Pearl Pen.

Photobucket

Here is the inside of the card....I stamped a shadow stamp of the PI Girl in Rhubarb Salk Memento ink and then stamped one of the sentiments that came with Popping By set on another one of the tickets that I cut on my Silhouette this one is a little smaller.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card for this week's MFT WSC challenge!

Hope you have a very crafty week!

My Favourite Things...a baby gift project for a friend!

Hey stampin' friends! I worked on this project for a friend this weekend and I thought I would share it with you! My friend and co-worker, Jen, is expecting her second child very soon...a little boy. So exciting!!!! She asked if I could make 5, 5x7 panels to fit inside a frame that she has, to hang it in the baby's room. She has decorated the baby's roon in brown and blue, so I used MME 6x6 paper pad Stella Rose, Hazel pad and she asked that it have a bit of a sports related theme and she wanted some stars in there too.

So, this is what I came up with using some of the My Favorite Things, Pure Innocence stamp sets. I "modified" two the PI stamps into boys and use a few Boy with Dog stamps too. One is actually a digi image from Heather Ellis's Etsy shop. I also used several of my MFT Die-namics dies.

Photobucket
This is the PI Tree Swing set. The leaves are from The Flower Trio and Leaf Die-namics set and I also used the scalloped ribbon border die and Fresh Cut Grass Die-nmaics die with My Favorite Felt.

Photobucket
Photobucket

This is the PI Nap Time stamp set and modified the hair and I used one of the dies from the Sweet Stack Die-nmaics set.

Photobucket

This is a digi image. I used My Favorite Felt and the Flat-bottom cloud Die-namics and the Simply Scallop Die-namics.

Photobucket

This is the PI I get a Kick out of you set. I modified it into a little boy. I used the Fresh cut Grass Die-nmaics die and My Favorite felt. I also used the speech bubble die from the Say What Die-namics and stamp set.

So there ya have it! I am quite happy with how it turned out. I love this paper pad but sadly it is all gone now. I just might have to get another one, smile! Well, I hope Jen likes it. I am going to bring them to work and give them to her today! I will ask her take pic of them in the frame and I will show you how it looks all together!

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek!

Have a stampin' great day!

Hugs,
