The Sketchy Challenge # 12, MDUC 126 & JM 136...Sweet Christmas Dreams!!

Photobucket
Hello stampin' friends! Well, I am trying to make a bunch of Christmas cards and the clock is ticking...eekkk!!!! I fear that I just won't get to make a card for everyone on my list this year. So, I thought I better ink up a few more of my gorgeous Christmas Maggies that I just had to have and it would be a shame to get to use them! I made two cards and kept them rather simple to speed up the process. I thought I'd play along with a few challenges too for some inspiration. So, I followed the beautiful sketch over at The Sketchy Challenge. I love this sketch by Jane! I also made this card for the Lost and Found challenge at MDUC! The Twill ribbon was wrapped around throw pillows that I bought at Winners as we are redoing our bedroom and the challenge over at Just Magnolia is Dreaming of a White Christmas...so I have used white and added "snow" to my cards with Flower Soft.

Photobucket
For my first card I have used Tilda with Snow Heart....I just LOVE her! She is my fave from the Sweet Christmas Dreams collections. I coloured her with my Copics, cut her out with my Rectangle Nesties, left the image in the die and inked with Tumbled Glass Distress ink. I added some Polar White Flower Soft for snow. I used the Wonky Border Die-namics and some black Gems to embellish. The sentiment came in the Magnolia Stamp Club Kit and I stamped it on the Framed Greetings Label Die-namics.

Photobucket
For this card I have used Midwinter Tilda. I coloured her with my Copics and cut out the image with my rectangle Nesties, left the image in the die and inked with Iced Spruce Distress ink from the Winter Seasonal set of 3 Distress inks.  I used my Wonky Scalloped border Die-namics again and the gorgeous papers on both cards are Authentique Wonder!

Photobucket
Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my cards! I hope to get a few more done this week but I probably won't get to posting them.

Hugs,

KKS Challenges # 103, BG Challenges # 56 & Pink Ink Sketch # 9...Baby...!!!

Photobucket
Hey Krafty friends! I made a card today and got a chance to play along with some of my favorite challenges!!!! I used the fab sketch by Natalie at Pink Ink Sketch Challenges, this week super duper Krafty Girl, Michele, is the hostess over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge and I thought I would play along with her challenge...Pin It Down...add a pin to your card and finally the challenge over at BasicGrey Challenges is Anything Goes! I have used my beloved Nordic Holiday 6x6 paper pad and Nordic Holiday Buttons.
Photobucket
For my card I have used snow bunny, Eva. Isn't she something else....I love her to bits!!! She is from the new Moonlight Whispers collection that was released in October. I picked up Eva and few of the other new Annie stamps when I was at Krafty Day! I had so much fun colouring Eva with my Copics and cut around her and pop-dotted her on the panel. I added some green crinkled seam binding, BG buttons, a sprinkling of green half-pearls, a pink hat pin. I stamped part of the sentiment for the front of the card.
Photobucket
Here is the inside....I stamped the rest of the sentiment for the inside. I used the MFT Well Worn Greetings Die-namics and the ribbon from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card!

Happy Stampin'!

Pink Ink Sketch Challenge # 8...Dreamerland Crafts Stamps...Enjoy the season!

Photobucket
Hey crafty friends! I made this card with the great sketch that they have over at Pink Ink Sketch Challenge by Ann Vento. I loved this sketch and will definitely use it again for my Christmas cards this year.  I also got a chance to use one of my cute new stamps from Dreamerland Crafts Rubberstamps called Skating Rink Fun. The Dreamerland Crafts Rubberstamps are released by Pointers Gifts and Crafts, a local Stamp and Scrapbooking store in Markham, Ontario. I first laid eyes on these sweet stamps at Scrapfest in Oshawa a two weekends ago and I thought they were absolutely darling. I really enjoyed colouring the image with myCopics and I liked the sketchy feel and cute Animee look of them.
Photobucket
I used my 6x6  BasicGrey Nordic Holiday paper pad for this card. I used the Mini-rolled Roses Die-nmaics for the flowers cut them from My Favorite Felt, Blue Skies. I also used the new Vintage Flourish Die-nmaics Die. The sentiment comes with the My Favorite things, Winter in the City Stamp set.
Photobucket
Here is the inside and I added another Rolled Rose and the sentiment is from an older MFT sentiment set.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card.

Hope you have a stampin' great day!

Pink Ink Sketch Challenge # 7...Sending Well Wishes!

 Photobucket
Hey crafty friends! I'm back again with a card that I made for the Pink Ink Sketch Challenge! They have a gorgeous sketch there by Erica! So, I decided to make a shaker card....this is my very first time attempting this. I am always inspired every time I see one of Camilla's gorgeous shaker cards, so I finally decided to give it a go after reading her instructions on her blog. Don't look too closely on my card here, though, there are a few mistakes. I thought it would be harder than it really was...it is a wee bit fiddly though but I think my second time around will turn out better.
Photobucket
I have been digging into some old paper and I have used this cute Crate paper Called Paper Doll and I have used this sweet My Favorite Things Stamp, Pure Innocence Better Get Better. I coloured this sweet PI girl with my Copic markers and inked with Spun Sugar Distress ink around the image. I bought the Crystal clear acrylic plastic sheets at my LSS and I scored the diamond pattern on it acrylic circle and then used Ice White Viva Decor Pearl pen and added little drops at all the intersections of the grid. I found these cute little jars of micro-beads at the dollar store (Dollarama) and I used them in the shaker card with a little glass glitter. I also added some cork butterflies that I cut with my MFT Butterflies Die-namics.

Photobucket

Here's a close up of the shaker card and below is the inside. The sentiment is a combination of two sentiments from the Better get Better set and Spa Day Pure Innocence stamp sets.

Pink Ink Sketch Challenge # 6, CCT # 182 and Saturated Canary ...I'm Batty for You!

Photobucket

Hey crafty friends! I hope you are having a great weekend! It sure feels like Fall is in the air...just a little bit nippy out there, eh!? I am sooooo not looking forward to winter, at all!

Well, I thought I would make a card today and I've just discovered that Krista Smith is selling her gorgeous images as Digis called, Saturated Canary, and she will be starting a Challenge blog at the end of September...looking forward to that!!!! Well, I fell head over heels in love with these adorable Saturated Canary Digi images and soooooo I just had to get a couple the other day and then they had a new release so somehow a few more landed in my cart...how does that happen, lol!?  I just had to have this sweet  Rose, A Vampire! How precious is she!?

I made the card using the fabulous sketch over at Pink Ink Sketch Challenges designed by the oh so sweet and super talented Kylie...I know I will be using this one again for sure. Love it!!!! I would also like to enter this card in the Cute Card Thursday Challenge # 182...Anything Goes!!!

So I coloured Rose with my Copics and I am quite happy with how she turned out but the pics are not doing her justice really...she looks better IRL...I used YR0000 and YR000 and then C1, BV31, BV31 and so her skin looks warmer and less grey than it's showing here and then it blends into the mauve-grey pallor.
 Photobucket
I used my Authentique 6X6 Blissful paper pad and I absolute love these papers and the grey and yellow is such a luscious colour combo...even my dear hubby commented on how he liked my card and how he liked the Boston Bruins colours that I used! Whaaaat the.....Gggeeesh, does everything have to relate back to hockey and his beloved Boston Bruins...what a guy, lol!!!! I added some Prima flowers, some pearls and a sprinkling of black bling. The sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and comes with Batty Princess...thought it would be perfect for this card.

Photobucket
Here is the inside...pretty simple.

Well,  thanks so much for stopping by and havin' a wee peek at my card!!!

Hope you have a stampin' great weekend!

Pink Ink # 4, Just Magnolia # 121 and BG Challenges #51...Happiness!

Photobucket
Hi stampin' friends! This morning I have a card to share that I made yesterday for 3 challenges. I followed the great sketch that they have at Pink Ink Sketch Challenges by Cheri. I also played along with the Bingo Challenge at Just Magnolia and hAngler sTangler. I love Bingo Challenges and for my card I used the diagonal line, Gems, Flowers, Lace and Ribbon and finally I used some gorgeous BasicGrey Oxford 6x6 papers so I would like to enter my card in the Anything Goes Challenge at BasicGrey Challenges

I started out colouring up this image, Tilda Gone Fishing, using the No Black Lines technique that is everywhere in blogland and looks so gorgeous! It is really tough to do though and I ended up tossing the image in the bin it was so terrible. I will try again and hopefully I will end up with something worth putting on a card. I had to colour up another image of this sweet Tilda and went with lines this time, lol! I am not into fishing but for some reason I just adore this image. I coloured Tilda with my Copics and did that spotted background around her with some Warm Grey Copics. I also inked with Pumice Stone Distress ink.

Photobucket

I love the BasicGrey Oxford papers they are such beautiful papers and I love the colours. I used some Melissa Frances rub-ons for the sentiments and the one on the image says....A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work! I suppose that is true even if you aren't much into fishing, he, he, he. I added a few small flowers, some brown seam binding and cotton lace trim and a sprinkling of blue gems.
Photobucket
Here is the inside....pretty simple. The sentiment is from the MFT More Essential Sentiments set.

Well, Thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card!

Hope you have a stampin' great day!
