Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - May 1 - Flowers for Mom

Hey Stampin' friends! Welcome to the NEW Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Charming! This month's challenge totally inspired me to make a Mother's Day card with my Reverse Confetti Flowers for Mom Confetti Cuts. This inspirational photo is SO charming and I hope you have a chance to get crafty and join us!

The Lead of this challenge will be invited to to be a guest designer in an upcoming challenge! 

I took inspiration from the photo for the colour palette and used MFT Heavyweight Cardstock in Grape Jelly, Grapesicle, Cotton Candy and Smooth White.

I know I'm too late to enter the Reverse Confetti SKFYT #35 but I just loved this fun sketch and it was perfect for my Flowers for Mom, Mother's day card, so I used it anyways.

The colours and patterns in the inspirational photo made me reach for one of my all time favourite BasicGrey 6X6 paper pads - Soleil. I layered the Circles 'N Scallops and Flowers for Mom Confetti Cuts to build my circle panel and cut the "mom" die from the Flowers for Mom Confetti cuts four times and adhered them together to create a little more dimension and stability.  I adhered it to the fishtail banner from the Flowers for Mom Confetti Cuts and added the flower from the Flowers fro Mom Confetti Cuts. I embellished with some purple AC hemp twine and a sprinkling of Grape YNS Gumdrops. 

I finished off the inside of my card too....I stamped the sentiment from the Reverse Confetti Rose Garden Stamp Set on the Thanks Tag Confetti Cuts and I added a tab and a few little flowers from the Hang Ups Confetti Cuts.

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Girly & Reverse Confetti SKYTT # 32...LOVE Life

Hello stampin' friends! I have some exciting news...I'm thrilled to join the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge Crew...Whoo hoo!!! The Curtain Call Challenge is one of my all-time favourite challenges to play along with and I'm SO honoured and  SO excited to have a regular gig with the CCIC Crew!!!

So, without further ado, Welcome to the NEW Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Girly 

The LEAD of this challenge will be invited to be the Guest Designer in an upcoming Challenge!

I used the Reverse Confetti Sketch For You To Try # 32 for my card!

I used MFT Heavyweight Cardstock in Kraft, Nightshift Blue, Brick Red, Sno Cone and Bubblegum!

I was inspired by many of the items found in the inspiration photo that we have for the Curtain Call - Girly and incorporated them into this card. 

I coloured up the adorable little cat from the Reverse Confetti Too Cute to Spook Stamp set  (clearly, this stamp set is not just for Halloween) as my take on the cute little knit kitten toque. I added a little bow  that I stamped, coloured and fussy cut from the Reverse Confetti Puppy Love Stamp set and adhered it to the kitty to make her a little more "girly". I searched through my extensive stash of patterned paper to find a pretty floral pattern like the one on the notebook in the inspiration photo...this BasicGrey Lucile 6X6 Paper was perfect and I added in some BasicGrey Clippings 6X6 papers too!  I used my Reverse Confetti Circles 'N Scallops Confetti Cuts to reflect the round compact in the inspiration photo.

I also found some brown crocheted trim in my stash, similar to the brown lace trim in the inspiration photo and I embellished with some YNS sparkly gold Gumdrops picking up on the gold bow on the little gift box in the pic. Finally, I stamped this inspirational sentiment with MFT Nightshift Premium Dye Ink from the Reverse Confetti Posted Notes Sentiments Stamp set to mimic the text on the cell-phone case in the inspiration photo.

My Favourite Crafty Creations of 2015

Happy New Year Stampin' friends! I thought I would look back over 2015 and revisit a few of my favourite cards, each one evokes fond memories of time spent being in a creative state of mind and  the opportunity to play with SO many cute stamps and dies and pretty paper! I was also very fortunate to get to be on the Design Team and or Guest Design for many of my favourite and the most amazing companies in 2015...such a privilege! I'm looking forward to 2016 and all that it holds!
