I made my card with MFT Heavyweight Cardstock in Whip Cream, Razzle Berry and Grapesicle

 photo KKSBlogHopDD_edited-RS1_zpspuxzrhly.jpg
For my Krafty Hop card I did a little "smooshing" again...(sorry but I can't get enough of this fun and easy technique) with Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet.  I inked up the Darling Dragons again and coloured up this little dragon...she's my fave...with my Copics!
I wanted to make a special birthday card so I whipped up an easy shaker tag with the Reverse Confetti Thanks Confetti Cuts and Shakers 'N Frames Confetti Cuts. I did a little masking with this Darling Dragon so she is holding the cloud balloon and then popped her up on the shaker tag. I tied the tag with AC Purple Hemp twine and embellished with a smattering of purple YNS Gumdrops.
 photo KKSBlogHopDD3_edited-RS3_zpsobpy2xd6.jpg
I stamped a sentiment from the Darling Dragons Stamp set with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink and then heat embossed with Zing White Embossing powder. There are so many cute accessory stamps in this set...I added a few little clouds and a bow to the balloon string.  In this detail shot you can see the Shaker tag has pink and lilac micro-beads and I used the Reverse Confetti Shaker 'N Frames Confetti Cuts to cut the tiny shapes from purple glitter paper.
Thanks SO much for stopping by and havin' a wee peek at my Krafty Hop card with the NEW Darling Dragons Stamp set for the March Release Krafty Hop!
Happy Hoppin' & Shoppin'!!

I added some black gems here and there and some Twinery Twine.  I also used my Stacking Star Die-namics and the MFT Just the Ticket Die-namics and stamp set.

Hey Krafty friends! I have been making some cards today but I can't share them with you yet, smile! I thought I would post this card though. Photobucket
I love the adorable little chicks all around her and she will be perfect for Easter cards too. Don't ya love versatile stamps!? I coloured her with my Copics cut around her and the pop-dotted her on the the small MFT Decorative Doily from the Decorative Doily Duo Die-namics. The papers are BasicGrey Nordic Holiday and I used the sentiment that comes with this sweet angel and I also made some flowers with the MFT Prima Donna Flower Die-nmaics. I added some Stickles to her wings and the chicks for a little sparkle and a sprinkling of green half-pearls!

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at another Christmas card! I hope you have a fab weekend...relaxing and perhaps some krafty time!

Krafty Day Oct. 16, 2011 & Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 98!

Photobucket
Well, how pathetic am I?! I am feeling so bummed out on this gloomy and cold day that I actually made a card for myself. The sentiment on this card should read...Just one of those days MONTHS! At the beginning of the month, I fell down the stairs and still have a huge bruise on my arse, then with all this rain, we had a small leak in the basement which meant tearing out my shelving and part of the wall in my craft room now all my stamps and supplies are in boxes and out in the rec room until it gets fixed. That obviously has put a real damper on my card making and then on top of that I got shingles on my arm and hand and it is unbelievably painful! Well, they say bad things come in threes, so I'm thinking I am good now for a while....knock on wood!!!

Photobucket
Well, I cleared out a little spot amongst the "construction" in my craft room this afternoon and made a card as I was getting bored sitting around and thought it would give me something to do and take my mind off my sore arm! So, I thought I would use the sweet Angie from the Moonlight Whispers Everyday Girls collection. I coloured her with my Copics and paper pieced her robe. Paper Piecing is the challenge this week over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge blog! For my card I used this 6x6 paper Pad called Baby Steps by Simple Stories.  I also used my Flat bottom Cloud Die-nmaics and one of the wee clouds from The MFT You Move Me Die-nmaincs and Stamp Set. The Sentiment comes with the Angry Ballerina stamp.

Now, I also wanted to let all my local Krafty friends know that the 2nd Annual Krafty Day is on October 16th from 9-9!!! I am so looking forward to it! I didn't make it last year but I will be there this year with several of the Krafty Girls and Kraftin' Kimmie, of course and I hope you can come too!!!! You can still get your tickets on the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps on-line store here.  Krafty day will be 12 hours of Krafty FUN, lots of kroppin' and kraftin' space, so be sure to bring your projects to work on! There will be an exclusive KKS tote bag with stampin' goodies and a special edition KKS stamp to commemorate the occasion! I hope you can come and join us in Lambeth, Ontario for Krafty Day!

Photobucket
Well, here is the inside of my card....pretty simple I stamped Angie again and used a sentiment from Kimmie's Coffee Sentiment set. I cut the dog tag out with my MFT Dog Tag Die-namics Die.

Well, I could use a cuppa tea and wee rest now. Thanks so much for popping by and havin' a wee peek at my card! Oh and I really hope you can make it to Krafty Day on October 16th. You can get your ticket on the Kraftin' kimmie Stamps on-line shop here!

Pink Ink Sketch Challenge # 6, CCT # 182 and Saturated Canary ...I'm Batty for You!

Photobucket

Hey crafty friends! I hope you are having a great weekend! It sure feels like Fall is in the air...just a little bit nippy out there, eh!? I am sooooo not looking forward to winter, at all!

Well, I thought I would make a card today and I've just discovered that Krista Smith is selling her gorgeous images as Digis called, Saturated Canary, and she will be starting a Challenge blog at the end of September...looking forward to that!!!! Well, I fell head over heels in love with these adorable Saturated Canary Digi images and soooooo I just had to get a couple the other day and then they had a new release so somehow a few more landed in my cart...how does that happen, lol!?  I just had to have this sweet  Rose, A Vampire! How precious is she!?

I made the card using the fabulous sketch over at Pink Ink Sketch Challenges designed by the oh so sweet and super talented Kylie...I know I will be using this one again for sure. Love it!!!! I would also like to enter this card in the Cute Card Thursday Challenge # 182...Anything Goes!!!

So I coloured Rose with my Copics and I am quite happy with how she turned out but the pics are not doing her justice really...she looks better IRL...I used YR0000 and YR000 and then C1, BV31, BV31 and so her skin looks warmer and less grey than it's showing here and then it blends into the mauve-grey pallor.
 Photobucket
I used my Authentique 6X6 Blissful paper pad and I absolute love these papers and the grey and yellow is such a luscious colour combo...even my dear hubby commented on how he liked my card and how he liked the Boston Bruins colours that I used! Whaaaat the.....Gggeeesh, does everything have to relate back to hockey and his beloved Boston Bruins...what a guy, lol!!!! I added some Prima flowers, some pearls and a sprinkling of black bling. The sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and comes with Batty Princess...thought it would be perfect for this card.

Photobucket
Here is the inside...pretty simple.

Well,  thanks so much for stopping by and havin' a wee peek at my card!!!

Hope you have a stampin' great weekend!

I paper pieced the lantern and Natsuko's dress. I used my Gold Smooches to colour her slippers and the tassel on the lantern. Then I added some Prima flowers with American Crafts gold pearl brads, BasicGrey Wisteria painted brads, BasicGrey Bling, and a gold butterfly. The ribbon is from my stash and I used my Open Scalloped MFT Die-namics border die. The sentiment actually comes with, Akiko, one of the other stamps from this release. The flowers are from my stash and I added BasicGrey Hopscotch painted brads to the centres. I also used my Die-namics Little Open Scallop border from My Favorite Things.  I love a crisp white sentiment and so I used Distress Embossing ink and American Crafts Zing White embossing powder to emboss the sentiment which is from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, Kimmie's Mermaid Sentiments set.
