Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - MFT Stamps & Spellbinders - Together Forever

Hello stampin' friends! just quickly stopping by to share another card I made for my friend, Glenda. She needed another wedding card. Again, I went for a more vintage/romantic look with the fall colour palette for the wedding. It was a great opportunity to use some of my paper flowers that I have been hoarding for years. I also used the MFT Stamp set LJD Together Forever for the sentiments. I am entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Stamp On It.
I picked up the beautiful Oval Ironwork Nestabilites die set at my local scrapbooking store. Then I decided to pull out all my old Nestabilites Dies and I paired it with the  Nestabilites Labels Seven and the Deckled Oval Nestabilites. I cut some bronze metallic cardstock from my stash with the Oval Ironwork Nestabilites die.

I stamped the sentiment from the MFT Stamps LJD Together Forever on MFT Whip Cream Heavyweight Cardstock with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. I cut the sentiment strip with the MFT Pierced Fishtail Flags Die-namics using the "cut and re-cut' technique to resize the strip. I embellished with paper flowers from my stash, twine and some brown half-pearls.
I finished the inside of my card too....I stamped another sentiment from the MFT Stamps LJD Together Forever
Thank you for stopping by and having a little look at my card for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Stamp Challenge - Stamp On It with MFT Stamps and Spellbinders Nestabilites.

My Favorite Things Stamps...Exciting News...So Excited I could Burst!!!

Photobucket
Hello stamp' friends! Well, today I finally get to share some SUPER exciting news with you all!!! OMGosh...I am SO excited I could burst!!!! I was asked to join the My Favorite Things Stamps Design Team...Whoo hoo, Yippe, Yahooo!!!! I still can't believe it!!!  So, it just so happened that one day I  come home for lunch and the phone rang and I thought it must be a salesperson...one of those guys wanting to know if I need the ducts cleaned...I almost didn't answer it. Well, thank goodness I did and was I ever surprised to hear Kim and Jody, from MFT,  on the phone. I was totally shocked when they asked if I would like to join the MFT family. Well, of course I jumped at the chance!!! I have been a long time MFT fan and I just LOOOVE all things MFT!  I LOVE all the stamps, Die-namics and fabulous products like the gorgeous My Favorite felt and ribbons etc. I can hardly believe there is a cute little MFT tub watermark on my cards now....SO SO exciting!!!
Photobucket
So I made this card especially for today's exciting announcement! I used some of my all time favourite papers BasicGrey Hopskotch 6x6 pad and teamed them up with this super cute Pure Innocence Girl from the set PI Blowing Bubbles.  I coloured the PI Girl with my Copics and paper pieced her top and skirt. I stamped a few of the bubbles around her with the bubble stamp that comes in the set. I inked around the image with Tumbled Glass Distress ink and added Stickles and Vivia Decor Transparent Gloss-Pen to the bubbles. If you visit my blog regularly, then you know I LOVE  lots of flowers on my cards and I have fallen in love with the various MFT flower Die-namics. This way, I can make my own customised flowers that co-ordinate perfectly with my card. On this card I have made my flowers from My Favorite Felt and canvas material with the Botanical Beauty Flower Die-namics and the Die-namics Flower Trio and Leaf set. I have added BG Hopscotch brads to the centres of some of the flowers and a BG Hopscotch epoxy brad to the centre of one flower. The sweet sentiment is from the PI Blowing Bubbles set I stamped it on Kraft cardstock and cut it out with the Chat Bubble Die-namics and used Joanne B's "Die-namics cut and re-cut" technique to make the bubble fit the text size....I love doing this. I also used the Die-namics Woodgrain Fence and to finish it off a little sprinkling of pink gems.
Photobucket
Here is the inside...I stamped the PI girl again in Desert Sand Memento ink and I used the the Die-namics Framed Greetings and Stamp Set.

I am SO excited to be joining such a wonderful, friendly and talented group of ladies; that is the MFT DT! This is truly a dream come true!! I know I am going to have SO much fun on the MFT DT helping to showcase all the gorgeous MFT stamps and Die-namics!  Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek at my very first MFT DT card!!!

 Have a Stampin' Great Day!!!

I really loved working with this sketch and I hope you can give it a go! All the stamps will be available in the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop tomorrow March 18th and we will have our Krafty Hop tomorrow too. Make sure you stop back for that!!!
Photobucket
For my card I have used this sweet stamp called Daisy Mae. I thought she would look pretty in a pink tutu. I coloured her with my Copics and cut her out using the "Out of the Box" technique, I embossed the image and then used the Oval Nestibilites Die as a stencil and inked with Tumbled Glass Distress ink. The sketch called for a scalloped edge on the horizontal panel but I used my Perfect Bracket Edge Die-namics instead. I also added a little stamped stitching with my Kelly Panacci Stitching stamps and Brushed Corduroy Distress ink.  I added lots of pink half-pearls and stamped the sentiment that comes with Daisy on patterned paper cut with the larger ribbon Die from the First Place Awards Ribbon Die-namics.

Photobucket
Here is the inside...I stamped Daisy again with Pink Memento ink...she is very faint though. I used one of my fave KKS sentiments from Kimmie's Everyday Sentiment set and stamped it on the papers cut with the Layered Labels Die-namics.

Thanks SO much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card for this week's Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge and for the new March Annie Preview! Pop on over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog and check out all the gorgeous creations that the Krafty Girls have to share today. My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 61....Girl Talk...!

Photobucket

Hey stampin' friends! A quick post tonight to share the card I made with this week's My Favorite Things Stamps sketch....MFTWSC61! I flipped the sketch and used this sweet MFT A La Modes Girl Talk stamp set and teamed her up with MME Howdy Doody 6x6 paper pad. I used the gorgeous and my FAVE flower Die-namics at the mo, Botanical Beauty, and the new super cute Chat Bubbles Die-namics.
Photobucket
I coloured the ALM Girl Talk girlie with my Copics and paper pieced her top, pants and her iPhone case. I cut the image out with my long Nesties and left the image in the die and inked with Pumice Stone Distress ink. I used portions of some of the cute sentiments that come in this set and then made the chat bubbles smaller, to fit the sentiment using the "cut and re-cut technique" that Joanne B. demonstrates in a video tutorial here. I embellished with this gorgeous ribbon from MFT that I have been hording and made a cute bow with twine and a BG button and a sprinkling of half-pearls.
Photobucket
Here is the inside...another sweet sentiment from the Girl Talk stamp set, another Botanical Beauty flower. I used the Layered Labels Die-namics and the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics and stamped the Girl Talk girlie again in London Fog Memento ink.

Well, Thanks SO much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card for the MFTWSC61!

Have a stampin' great day!

My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 59....Meow Meow = I Love You!

Photobucket

Meow, stampin' friends, smile!  Hope all my fellow Ontarians are enjoying the long weekend with today off for Family Day! I have had a wonderfully lazy weekend and spent all day Saturday watching all of the first season of Game of Thrones on HBO Canada. Kraftin' Kimmie told me about the books and the HBO series and  now I'm totally addicted too. I just downloaded the books onto my e-reader...gotta get reading before Season 2 of the series starts.

So, I made this card yesterday for the MFTWSC59 sketch challenge! I deviated a bit from the sketch as I didn't want to cover up this sweet PI girl and her kitten with the sentiment flag, so, I have it going the other way...hope that's okay.
Photobucket
I used this new Pure Innocence girlie from the stamp set called Purrfect, and that she is. I teamed her up with some gorgeous new MME paper pads this one is called Miss Caroline, Fiddlesticks 6x6 paper pad. I love this gorgeous colour combo of yellow and mauve in this pad. I coloured the Purrfect PI girlie with my Copics cut the image out with my Rectangle Nesties, left the image in the die and inked with Scattered Straw Distress ink.  I used my new Botanical Beauty Die-namics die to make the gorgeous flower and added some hemp twine. The sentiment is stamped on white card cut with the ribbon die from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics. I just inked up the word "Meow" from one of the sweet sentiments in the Purrfect stamp set and stamped it twice. I also used Joanne's tip to elongate the strip of paper cut with one of the dies from the Mix and Match Banner Die-namics and, of course, I had to sprinkle a few pearls here and there.
Photobucket
Here is the inside...I stamped the PI Purrfect girl again in Lulu Lavender Memento ink and used several MFT Die-namics to make the sentiment stack. The sentiment is from another PI Set called Rose. I added a few more flowers using the Botanical Beauty and Perfect Petal Die-namics.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and having a wee peek at my card that I made for the MFTWSC59 Sketch Challenge.

Have a Stampin' Great Day!!!

Hugs,

Tickled Pink Stamps...Guest DT for Feburary Release...Lil Futuristic Lad Stefan!

Photobucket
Hey crafty friends! I am back again today with another preview for the new Tickled Pink Stamps February release! Today the Pink Ladies are featuring cards with this super cool guy, Lil Futuristic Lad Stefan. The 4 new Lil Futuristic Digi images will be available on February 11th at 5:00 p.m. at the Tickled Pink Stamps Shop. Please remember to leave a comment here on my post and on all the Pink Ladies blogs for a chance to win Futuristic Stefan by Digital Download only.

So, I have to tell you "boy" cards are not my fave and I really struggle making masculine cards but this card with Futuristic Stefan came together so easily and I had so much fun colouring him up with my Copics!  I was still on my Si-Fi/Action Movie kick, when making this Stefan card. I used this great MME Kraft Funday 6x6 paper pad. I cut the image out with my long rectangle Nesties and left the image in the die and inked with Old Paper Distress ink and Bundled Twigs.

Photobucket
I used my MFT At the Movies Stamp and Die-namics and the Just the Ticket Stamp sets for the sentiment on the ticket.  I also used the MFT Mini Film Strip Border Die-namics and the Monarch Border Die-namics. I added green gems to the monarch border and then sprinkled a few here and there.
Photobucket
Here is the inside...I framed another Stefan in the Large Film Die-namics frame and used a large sentiment from the At the Movies Stamp and Die-namics set.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my Stefan card! Remember to leave a comment for a chance to win a digi image of Stefan. Also, pop on over to the Tickled Pink Stamps blog and check out all the gorgeous cards by the Pink Ladies.

The Sketchy Challenge # 15, BG Challenges 61 & Saturated Canary 9...Sending Smiles!

Photobucket
Hello stampin' friends! I have a card to share today that I made for a few challenges! I followed the gorgeous sketch over at The Sketchy Challenge designed by the super sweet and uber talented, Kellie, I used several of my favourite things on this card which is the challenge over at BasicGrey Challenges and I also made this card for the Saturated Canary Challenge # 9 which is Punches and Dies.
Photobucket
For my card I have used the gorgeous Lolita Saturated Canary Digi and coloured her with my Copics and PrismaColor Pencils.

I am not sure if you have read about the despicable thing that has happened to Krista Smith, the artist of Saturated Canary Digis and Simply Sassy stamps for Sugar Nellie.  It's a shame that she has been a victim of copyright violation of her intellectual property. Krista has posted all about it here on her blog. Please read it so that you are aware that someone is selling "knock-offs" of her designs. These digi's that this person is selling are no where near as beautiful or of the same artistic calibre as Krista's art work.  This person is even using the same names for the "knock-off" images, that Krista uses for her SC Digi images.  Please leave Krista some love and support on her blog! We need to support the artists if we want to have gorgeous stamps and digis to colour!!!!!

So back to the card, I cut the SC image of Lolita with my Nesites die and left the image in the die and inked with Spun Sugar Distress ink. The papers are 6x6 BasicGrey Kissing Booth, my new fave and I have used my fave MFT Wonky Scalloped Border Die-namics die and used a sentiment from the MFT  Poppy Pure Innocence Set and stamped it on the Ribbon Die that comes with the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics. I added some crinkled seam binding and a BG button and sprinkled pink half pearls here and there.
Photobucket
I re-sized and printed Lolita again to add a shadow stamp of her to the inside of my card the sentiment comes with the MFT Pure Innocence Set Something Special Just for You and I stamped it on BG Kissing Booth paper cut with the MFT Framed Greetings Die-namics die.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card!

Hope you have a stampin' great week!

Photobucket
Hey Krafty friends!!!! So, do you wanna hang out with Kraftin' Kimmie and the Krafty Girls this weekend??  If you live in Southwestern Ontario you can join us at the Guelph Place Banquet Hall at 425 Michener Rd. in Guelph from 9am to midnight on Saturday, January 21st!!  There is an all day crop event going on but you do NOT have to be part of the crop to come and join the fun!!!  You can shop to your inky heart's content....we'll have the newest release of Goddesses, Kitty Kapers and Lovely Lulus on hand as well as many more of our most popular stamps!!  AND some of our amazing and talented Krafty Girls will be teaching four different classes throughout the day!!! I am planning on attending as long as the weather cooperates...fingers crossed!!! I would love to see you there!!!  For the class lineup and to sign-up, go to The Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps website here!!! Can't wait to see you there!!!

Photobucket
I also made a card tonight for the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 111. They have a fantastic sketch by Krafty Girl, Nicole, and I have been dying to ink up, the super sweet, Bella, so I thought I would play along!!! I also made this card for the challenge over at BasicGrey Challenges, Something New...(I have used my new Mini Tab Die-namics Foursome and Bella is a new stamp).

I made my card base 6x6 from American Crafts cardstock and used BasicGrey Piccadilly 6x6 paper pad. I also used the Crown Die-namics border on my card. I coloured Bella with my Copics but I had some problems with my Neenah card bleeding. I am usually pretty happy with the results that I get with the Neenah cardstock. I guess it was a bad sheet or something. Well, this was the second image I coloured for this card and I was getting frustrated and tired, so, please don't look too closely at the colouring job on this one....no my best work.  I left the image in the die and inked with Old Paper Distress ink. The sentiment is a Melissa Frances rub-on. It is on white cardstock cut with one of the Mini Tab Die-namics Foursome.  I also added some bling, lot of Stickles and ribbon from my stash with a BasicGrey button.

Photobucket
Here is the inside...I stamped Bella again with Ladybug Red Memento ink and used a sentiment from Kimmie's Everyday Sentiment set.

Well, I really hope you can make it to the Guelph Mega Crop on Saturday and hang out with Kimmie, the Krafty Girls and me too!

Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card with this week's sketch at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge and for BG Challenges!

My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 53....Frosty & Fabulous!

Photobucket
Hello Stampin' Friends! Well, just a quick post tonight to share the card that I made for this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge!  I didn't get a chance to use this super cute MFT Pure Innocence Frosty and Fabulous stamp set before we went to Disneyland, so I thought I would ink up this fabulous snowman for this week's MFT WSC challenge! I love this new PI Snowmen just as much as the Holiday Hugs Snowman...they are SO super cute and make such great looking cards with little effort...love that, especially when you are pressed for time!

Photobucket
I paper pieced the Snowman's hat and scarf and did a wee bit of colouring with my Copics. The pretty papers are from a MME 12 Days of Christmas 6x6 paper pad. I added some Liquid Applique to the bottom of the snowman for a little dimension and lots of Stickles to make it sparkle. I also used my new Fringed Perennials Die-namics die to make this cute flower embellie. The sentiment comes in the Frosty & Fabulous set and I stamped it on the patterned paper cut with the ribbon die from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics.
Photobucket
Here is the inside....I stamped the Snowman again and used another one of the sentiments from the set...stamped it on Kraft cardstock cut with one of the dies from the Layered labels Die-namics.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my MFTWSC53 card!

Happy Stampin'!

Hugs,
