Hi stampin' friends! I thought I would join the FUN challenge over at BasicGrey Challenges. The Challenge is Favourite Things...how perfect! I LOVE making cards with all my favourite things! I also had to use my favourite stamps...My Favorite Things Stamps - Pure Innocence...I inked up this cutie Pure Innocence Little Shutterbug

 photo MFTBGChallenges87D_edited-1RS4_zps9ebd29c8.jpg

I coloured up the PI Little Shutterbug girl with my Copics and paper pieced her dress and cut her out and popped her up on the Dizzy Doily panel using the Dizzy Doily Die-namics. One of my favourite things to do on my cards is make my own, perfectly coordinating flowers with my absolute FAVOURITE MFT Die-namics...here I used the fabulous Flower Medley Die-namics. I added MFT Bubblegum Pink and Grape buttons tied with Hemp Cord and added a gorgeous Grapesicle Grosgrain Ribbon.  I also used the Chevron Stripes and the Mini Scallop Edge Die-namics.  I stamped the sweet sentiment from the PI Little Shutterbug Stamp set on Whip Cream Heavyweight Card Stock with my favourite ink...MFT  Premium Dye Ink in Razzle Berry.

 photo MFTBGChallenges87C_edited-1RS3_zps77c7f0c1.jpg

I stamped a silhouette image of the PI Little Shutterbug girl with MFT Grape Premium Dye Ink.  I added the sentiment panel using the Dizzy Doily Duo and the Circle STAX Die-namics. I stamped a sentiment from the PI Birthday Girl Stamp Set with Razzle Berry Premium Dye Ink and I also stamped a sentiment from the PI Picture Perfect Stamp set on Whip Cream Heavyweight Card Stock cut with the little circle tag from the Howdy Frames Die-namics. I stamped it with Grape Premium Dye Ink and added it to the flowers.

My Favourite Things Stamps...WSC # 31....u r my Happy Day!

Photobucket

Hey  stampin' friends! I made this card today with the gorgeous sketch that they have for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge # 31!

I have to say making this card this afternoon was a very therapeutic little break for me. we have had a very distressing weekend. Hannah has had a severe allergic reaction to something and we can't pin point what it is exactly. I think she was either stung or bit by an insect or has got into some poison ivy or oak at day camp. Her face swelled right up and she broke out in a terrible, itchy rash all over her face, neck, chest and back. I took her to the walk-in clinic on Friday and we got some cream but then Saturday morning she woke up and was much worse and her face was so swollen, it was shocking. I took her to the hospital immediately and she is now on several medications. We are just waiting for the swelling in her face to go down. I feel so badly for her. She is so uncomfortable and the swelling around her eyes is causing pressure and pain and giving her a headache. It is starting to get better though and the meds are working.  The rash is fading and her energy and spirits are up a bit more today.  We just can't wait for the swelling in he face to go away completely and for her to back to her regular self!
Photobucket
So, for my card today I used papers from my BasicGrey 6x6 Oxford paper pad and teamed it up with this adorable little PI girl from the MFT Pure Innocence stamp set Popping By. I cut the large ticket shapes on my Silhouette Digital Craft Cutter from Kraft cardstock and stamped the image on one and then coloured it with my Prismacolor Pencils. I love the look of Pencils on Kraft paper. I have only ever done this once before so I thought I would give it a go again. I am quite happy with how she turned out. I used my new MFT  Die-namics Mini Ticket Strip Die and cut them from Kraft cardstock. I then separated them at the perforation. I stamped the sentiment from the MFT Die-namics Notched Tag Die and Stamp set on the mini tickets. I added a little pearl to the center for the flower in her hair and to her little Mary Janes with some Viva Decor Pearl Pen.

Photobucket

Here is the inside of the card....I stamped a shadow stamp of the PI Girl in Rhubarb Salk Memento ink and then stamped one of the sentiments that came with Popping By set on another one of the tickets that I cut on my Silhouette this one is a little smaller.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card for this week's MFT WSC challenge!

Hope you have a very crafty week!

BasicGrey Challenges # 47 and Magnolia Down Under Challenge # 102...Happy Birthday!!!

Photobucket
Me again! Yup, I am back with another card to share with you this morning! Today we have more fun challenges over at BasicGrey Challenges and at Magnolia Down Under Challenge. I thought I would combine my cards this week as the challenges went perfectly together! Over at BG Challenges we would like to see Stitching on your card or creation and at MDUC the challenge is Stitching and Swirls. Sounds like fun, eh!?

Well, I hope you can mange to squeeze in some stampin' time and join both challenges! Just remember that at BasicGrey Challenges you must use at least one BasicGrey product on you card or creation and please list that item in your post so it easy for the DT to see what BG product you have used as there are so many gorgeous BG products available now! Over at MDUC the requirement is to use a Magnolia stamped image on your creation ( it doesn't have to be Tilda or Edwin it can be an accessory stamp)!

If you join us at BasicGrey Challenges we have a fabulous prize....a random winner will be selected to receive a $25.00 gift voucher for the Simon Says Stamp Superstore....Whoo hoo!!!!!!
Photobucket
For my card I used BasicGrey Life of the party 6x6 papers. I stamped my stitiching with trusty and beloved Kelly Panacci Acrylic Stitching stamps. I stamped around the edges of the papers with Vintage Photo Distress ink. The image I used is this cute Tilda with Heart Package from the Magnolia Spring 2008 release. I think I have only inked her up once before, which, is a real shame as she is just soooooo cute! It's nice to use our older Tilda stamps too, isn't it!? So, I coloured her with my Copics, of course and cut the image out with my Nesties and inked with Spun Sugar Distress ink. I cut a smaller mat from red American Crafts cardstock with my glass mat and Fiskars Finger Tip Craft knife and cut around the outer edge of the die. The swirls were cut on my Silhouette Digical Craft Cutter and I added a few red half pearls on the swirls.  I tied some crinkled seam binding around the card and tied a double bow and added a BG button and some twine. The label sentiment is from Catslife Press stamped with Ladybug Memento Ink on Kraft cardstock and the other sentiment is a Melissa Frances Rub-on.

Well, thanks so much for swingin' by again and having a wee peek at my BG Challenges and MDUC card today! I hope you can join the challenges! Please pop by the challenge blogs and have a look at all the gorgeous inspiration by the BG and MDUC DTs too!

Have a Stampin' Great Day!

Photobucket

So for my card I made an easel card and I used my new fave BG Hello Luscious 6x6 paper pad.....I love this paper it is just so gorgeous!!! Sorry, but I think you will be seeing a lot of it over the next while, smile. I made this card for my friend and co-worker, Julie, it was her b-day this week and I wanted to make her a special card. I was so happy she liked it and I know her daughter Olivia will love it too as she is a big fan of Tilda.

I used this sweet Balloon Tilda from the You're So Special Collection. I coloured her with my Copics and I added Glossy Accents to the balloon. I also used a Melissa Frances rub-on and a Magnolia sentiment from the Butterfly Dreams collection. There is lots of bling on this card and I also added some crinkled seam binding and a BG button. Flowers are mix of Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts flowers. The sentiment on the bottom of the easel is from My Favorite Things, Die-namics Polka Dots Greetings die and stamp set.

Photobucket
Here is a pic that shows how glossy the balloon looks.

I was happy to get to use my Silhouette Digital Craft cutter to make this flower shaped card! I am quite happy with how it turned out! I cut 2 of the flower shapes on my Silhouette from American Crafts cardstock and 2 slightly smaller flowers from Nook and Pantry 12x12 BasicGrey paper. The middle of the flower is a Nestie Circle cut with more Nook and Pantry BG paper. I matted with the green AC cardstock and I love how it just adds a pop of colour. I added a scrumptious seam binding crinkled double bow with a BG button and some hemp twine. I used this adorable Tilda called Tilda with Big Ribbon! I love that you can see her bloomers, smile! I added the Melissa Frances rub-on to a tag that I cut with a QuicKutz 2x2 die. I sprinkled some half pearls here and there and added some cork Butterflies for my wings!!!
Photobucket
To make the card stand up I made a score mark on the top of the petal of the back flower and added adhesive.
Photobucket
This is the inside...I used a Magnolia sentiment from the You are So Special collection and I stamped it on white card that I cut out with the My Favorite Things Framed Greetings and Die-namics die set.

Thanks so much for stopping by again! I really hope you can join the challenges that we have this week at BasicGrey Challenges and at Magnolia Down Under Challenges!

Have a stampin' great day!

BasicGrey Challenges # 34....A Recipe....No Peeking, Edwin!

Good morning crafty friends! We had a little treat this week! A Cirque Du Soleil show called Dralion has come to our city. We got tickets, so, my Mom and Dad, Chris, the kids and I, all went to see it on Wednesday night and it was absolutely amazing, as always!!!! This was the 5th Cirque show that Chris and I have been to. I love Cirque Du Soleil! If you ever get a chance to see one I highly recommend it!

So it is the weekend, YAY! My fave time; my crafty time, that I look forward to all week! I am in serious Christmas card mode and I am really enjoying it! I've even been making some cards during the week!  So, it is time for a fun challenge at BG Challenges. This fortnight we have a fabulous recipe challenge! I hope you can join us! Please swing by the BasicGGrey Challenges blog and see all the stunning creations by the super talented BG DT they are sure to inspire!

The Recipe

4 Different Types of Embellishments(You can have as many of each type as you wish, as long as there are 4 different kinds, for example Ribbon, Pearls, Flowers, Charms etc etc)
3 Different Patterned Papers
(You can have as many plain matting papers as you wish, just as long as there are 3 patterned papers)
1-2 Images and/or 1-2 Sentiments(You can choose to have up to 2 in either of these, or even both if you wish)

Photobucket

I decided to ink up this sweet Edwin! I totally neglect poor Edwin and he is a doll too! I really need to use him more. I love how he is clutching his we pressie! So, again I embossed the Magnolia tree with Northern Lights embossing powder and coloured Edwin with my Copics and cut him out. He is pop-dotted on the card. I made an easel card from Bassill cardstock and matted with some kraft cardstock and used 3 different sheets of BG Jovial 6x6 papers. I absolutely love this paper to bits. I stamped the stitching with my Kelly Panacci stamps and Distress ink. I added the No Peeking sentiment by Kelly Panacci on a QK tag. my 4 different embellies are a Jovial Brad, pearls, red velvet AC ribbon and Prima and WOC flowers. The sentiment on the bottom of the easel card is from the Magnolia Merry Little Christmas 2010 Collection.

Hey crafty peeps! Sooooo....don't ya just looooove my new blog digs!? I am totally lovin' my gorgeous new blog makeover compliments of the uber talented and oh soooo sweet, Martine! I am so not computer savvy at all and I have no idea how she makes such gorgeousness but I love everything about it...it's perfection!!! Thanks sooooooo much, hun, you totally ROCKed my blog!!!!

So, It's time for the BasicGrey Challenge and we have a fun and easy challenge for
you...PEARLS!!! I made my cardbase 6x6 from American Crafts cardstock and used my Green at Heart 6x6 papers! I had to whip this card up before we left on our camping trip last week and so I used one of my Pure Innocence stamps, Make Mine a Double, from My Favourite Things. They are great when you need to make a quick card. This little PI girl is soooo cute and has a cool treat in hand...yum-o! I made the sentiment from another PI set called Lollipop Girl. This little PI girl was so quick to colour and I paper pieced her dress too! I cut the image out with my rectangle Nesties and left the image in the die and sponged the background with Distress inks. I added a few tiny pearls to her shoes and some clear glaze pen too! To embellish I added lots of pearls, some Prima flowers and this yummy ribbon that I bought at Stamping Bella a while ago and that I totally need more of,lol!

Here is the inside...I used one of the sentiments that comes in the Make Mine a Double set, a couple of flowers and more pearls!

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card. I hope you get some time to join the BasicGrey Challenge.

New BasicGrey Challenges # 9...A sketch by Me!

Woo hoo!!!! It's the weekend!!! YAY!!!! That means it is crafty time and it's time for another challenge over at the BasicGrey Challenge blog! This week we have a sketch by little ol' me...YAY! I hope you can join us this week and we have some fabulous yummy candy up for grabs sponsored by Simon Says Stamp.
The sketch is rather simple but I think it makes a rather good looking card, if I do say so myself, smile! I am always so inspired by the creativity that abounds on the BG DT! WOW! All my BG teamies have all made such beautiful creations with this sketch and I hope you will check out all their creations...they are sure to inspire you too!!! I just have to point out Kim's cards...yes all 6 of them!!! She has demonstrated that this sketch works really well if you need to mass produce some cards...she made 6 gorgeous cards that I just absolutely love to bits...I think I'm going to have to "lift" her idea here!!!

So, here is the sketch! For my card I flipped the layout to fit my image and realigned the sentiment. I made my cardbase 6x6 from Bazzill Bling cardstock and used BG Bittersweet 6x6 pp, brads and the photo corner is from the Bittersweet Elements sticker sheet.

I needed a baby card so I pulled out my Baby Tingla stamp and Magnolia cloud stamp to create this scene. I have made this scene before and I always love how it turns out! I coloured Tingla with my Copics and pop-dotted her on the cloud. I added lots of Stickles to her wings and the clouds and cut out the image with my Nesties.
I used my Catslife Press stamp and cut the QK tag and added a Melissa Frances rub-on. The Ric Rac is American Crafts.

Here is the inside....the sentiment is a Kelly Panacci stamp.
Thanks for stopping by...I hope you can join us as I'm really looking forward to seeing all the creations with this sketch!
Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek! Oh make sure to come back to see my Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges card and it's a preview for the December release!

Then when I get back I will pack up all my Christmas card stash. I'm hoping to pack light and bring just what I need...oh who am I kidding, lol! I will end up bring everything but the kitchen sink as per usual, lol! So, I am heading to Toronto to my friend, Michelle's house for a scrapbooking/cardmaking weekend. Today is also Michelle's B-day...so I want to wish her a very Happy B-day!!!

So, make sure you pop by their blogs and have a wee peek and I hope you can join us for this glitzy, bingy challenge, smile.

I made my cardbase 6x6 from Bazzill Bling cardstock and used BG Eskimo Kisses 6x6 paper pad. I love this paper it is just so pretty! I stamped Tilda on ATS Copic Quality paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with my Copics. I cut her out with my Oval Nesties and used the "out of the box" technique. I used BG bling flourish and chopped it up, putting a little here and a little there. I also used one of my Melissa Frances glittery hearts and punched a hole with my Crop-o-dile and added a BG Eskimo Kisses fancy brad with a little bling. To finish it off I used this yummy American Crafts ribbon which I just love...it's such a great match for this paper, Prima flowers with a BG Eskimo kisses brad and the sentiment is a Melissa Frances rub-on. Oh, I almost forgot, I used my sparkly Polar White Flower Soft for the first time on this card and I think it really makes it extra special...love this stuff!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 4 & BasicGrey Challenges #7...Holiday Cheer!

Happy Halloween Krafty Friends! Have you been sneaking a few chocolates here and there too?! Oh, I know I have, lol! I just hope we have enough left for the all the kidos, smirk! I am a little sad cuz my kidos don't want to wear cute costumes anymore. No, they are totally into everything gross, gory and lots of fake blood, lol! Yes, they are growing up, sigh!
Well, today is Saturday and that means it's challenge day! First up we have the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge today! I am the hostess and I say "Tag! You're it"! Yes, I am challenging folks to use a tag(s) on your creation big, small, die cut or a recycled clothing tag...whatever your heart desires as long as there is a tag on your creation! Since, I have used, sweet Piper, one of the new images from the November release (that will be available tomorrow November 1st) the winner of this weeks Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge will win Piper....YAY!!! So, make sure you play along!
I also made this card for the BasicGrey Challenges. This week the fabulous Tara W picked this great inspirational photo for us to use! I love the great colours in this image. It was such fabulous inspiration! Thanks Tara! Well, I hope you can play along with the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge and Basic Grey Challenges.

So for my card I used the colours in the photo and I picked Piper cuz she is holding a yummy cup of hot chocolate and there is a cuppa in the pic on the stack of magazines. I was also inspired by the pattern in the sofa with the white dots that gradually go from large to small.
So I made my cardbase 6x6 from chocolate brown Bazill cardstock and used BG Wassail and Bittersweet pp. I then stamped Piper from the Moonlight Whispers collection on ATS Copic Quality paper and coloured her with my Copics. I used the "Out of the Box" technique so her hat wouldn't get chopped off when I cut her out with the circle Nesties! I used this American crafts burgundy velvet scalloped ribbon at the bottom! It is so yummy...I just love it! My sentiment is from the fabulous Kimmie's Holiday sentiments set. There are 44 fabulous and perfect holiday sentiments in this set... love it! And it was created by our very own Krafty girl, Jeanne! I stamped the sentiment on a QK 2x2 tag. I added lots of half pearls and some Prima flowers left over from last year.

Well, Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek! I hope you can join both the BasicGrey Challenge and Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge. Also, make sure you come back tomorrow as Kimmie and the Krafty Girls have some extra fun planned for release day and I am sure you will already be "hopped" up on chocolate and candy so that should work to your advantage, *wink*!
Big hugs,
