Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps...March Release Krafty Peek Day 3...I don't do mornings!

Photobucket
Hey Krafty friends! Well, didn't you just love all those cute cards with Steven Leary's new Pirates??  Super cute, eh!? Well, today we have more Krafty Peeks for the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps March Release. The Krafty Girls and Guests are featuring Annie Rodrigue's new Everyday Girls for the Moonlight Whispers collection. I am so in love with Annie's stamps for this release! Okay, I know I say that every release but these gals are especially cute and fun! There are six great Everyday Girls that come with an accessory stamp and one or two sentiments!

Photobucket

So, today I am featuring Angie. She is my kinda gal! Well, actually, I am a morning person but I need my java to get me kick started, however, I do love lounging around in my comfy clothes, especially on the weekend. Gotta love her, in her comfy and well worn robe and her "Saturday" hair, lol! I thought I would use some comfy and warm BasicGrey Curio papers to go with her and I paper pieced Angie's robe and I coloured the rest of her with my Copics. I cut her out with my Label Seventeen Nesties and inked with Old Paper Distress inks and cut a mat with my Fiskars finger grip craft Knife by cutting around the outside edge of the Nestie die. I used some lace trim, brown crinkled seam binding and a BG button tied with hemp twine. I sprinkled some half pearls here and there and added this gorgeous Mocha Gardenia from Wild Orchid Crafts and some small Prima roses. The Sentiment is one of two sentiment stamps and some fuzzy slippers accessory stamp that comes with Angie.

Photobucket
Here is the inside...I use a sentiment from Kimmie's coffee sentiment set. I cut a gift card holder on my Silhouette Digital Craft Cutter and added some patterned paper and more crinkled seam binding to decorate it up a bit.

Photobucket
I tucked a Tim Hortons coffee gift card inside the holder!

Photobucket
This is my first Unity Stamp card and I was a little nervous about making a card with this kind of stamp as I really LOVE cute people stamps and wasn't sure I could pull it off but I had a blast making this card!!! I am thrilled with how it turned out, as well. It is  so nice to created something when you've stretch outside your comfort zone. I started by making my card base with Kraft cardstock and gorgeous Prima Annalee 6x6 papers that I didn't even want to cut they are so beautiful! I used the fabulous sketch that the uber talented and sweet Rach designed for the Friday Sketchers Challenge # 144. I also distressed the edges of the cardstock with my Tim Holtz Tonic Distressing tool. Then I painted all the edges of the paper and the Prima flowers with Tim Holtz Crackle paint in Picket Fence.  I stamped the Unity Stamp image called Sending My Love on Kraft cardstock and decided to colour it with my Prismacolor Pencils. I have seen this done before by other stampers and love the soft look of it. Thought I would try it for myself and it was quite easy and I love the result. I will definitely be using my pencils more now! The stamp set comes with several sentiments and 2 little envelopes. so I  stamped one on kraft cardstock and cut it out and pop-dotted on the mailbox. It doesn't show up in the pic but I also added Sakura Stardust pen for some sparkle. I embellished with cotton lace trim, seam binding and Annalee Prima flowers with pink half pearls. The cork butterflies were punched with my Martha Stewart butterfly 3 in 1 punch

Here is the inside...this is another one of the sweet sentiments that comes in this set. More Prima Annalee flowers and butterflies!

My Favorite Things...WSC Challenge # 9...Fairy Good Day!

Photobucket
I have a card to share today that I made on the weekend for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge with sketch # 9.  I used this sweet PI Girlie from the set called Believe in Magic. She is super cute! These PI girls remind me of my friend's daughter, so I will give this card to Gracie for her upcoming Birthday. I paper pieced her fairy dress and coloured the rest of the image with my Copics. I added Glamour Dust to the wings, tights, and her wand. I teamed it up with this pretty paper by Best Creations Inc. called Safari Girl. This paper is also prefect for a spring, Easter or baby card. The ribbon is from my stash and the pearls are from the Dollar store. I also used my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl pen to add some little wee pearls to the centre of the flower in her hair, the centre of the flower on her dress and to her shoes. I just saw that Heidi has Vivia Decor pearl pens in the Simon Says Stamp Superstore....check them out here

Photobucket
I had to move the sentiment banner as it didn't work for me on the other side, as per the sketch. I stamped it on some old World Wind cardstock that I had in my stash from my scrapbooking days...great for sentiments as it is smooth and it was a great match.
Photobucket
Here is the inside....I stamped the wee PI fairy girl again and I used a sentiment from another PI set called Something Special Just for You!

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card! Not sure I made the challenge in time, as I left it to the 11th hour to upload it to the WSC gallery on SCS and then it was taking forever to load the image, oh well, I am still very happy with how my card turned out!

Have a  stampin' great day!

Photobucket
I was happy to get to use my Silhouette Digital Craft cutter to make this flower shaped card! I am quite happy with how it turned out! I cut 2 of the flower shapes on my Silhouette from American Crafts cardstock and 2 slightly smaller flowers from Nook and Pantry 12x12 BasicGrey paper. The middle of the flower is a Nestie Circle cut with more Nook and Pantry BG paper. I matted with the green AC cardstock and I love how it just adds a pop of colour. I added a scrumptious seam binding crinkled double bow with a BG button and some hemp twine. I used this adorable Tilda called Tilda with Big Ribbon! I love that you can see her bloomers, smile! I added the Melissa Frances rub-on to a tag that I cut with a QuicKutz 2x2 die. I sprinkled some half pearls here and there and added some cork Butterflies for my wings!!!
Photobucket
To make the card stand up I made a score mark on the top of the petal of the back flower and added adhesive.
Photobucket
This is the inside...I used a Magnolia sentiment from the You are So Special collection and I stamped it on white card that I cut out with the My Favorite Things Framed Greetings and Die-namics die set.

Thanks so much for stopping by again! I really hope you can join the challenges that we have this week at BasicGrey Challenges and at Magnolia Down Under Challenges!

Have a stampin' great day!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 68....Twine or Floss.

Photobucket
Oh happy day! YAY!!! It's Saturday can't wait to get krafty today!!! It is also time for another fun challenge this week over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge! Jeanne has set an awesome challenge this week. I am totally loving the new Baker's Twine trend! Have you jumped on the Twine bandwagon too!? Love it!!! Well, Jeanne would like to see Twine or Floss or any type of string, for that matter, on you card or creation.  Jeanne has used Stella Strawberry on her stunning card and if you join in on the challenge this week and you have used a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamped image you will be entered into the random draw to win a Stella Strawberry stamp of your very own. How cool is that!? Very, I know!!!!!

Photobucket
So, my card didn't exactly turn out how I had envisioned it!  I was going to put both Richie and Judy on the front of the card together but they didn't fit and I didn't want to not use Richie. Especially, after I coloured him up and he was lookin' so cute and all, so I put him on the inside of the card.

I made my card base 6x6 from Kraft cardstock and used October Afternoon scraps of paper from the Fly a Kite, Cherry Hill and The Thrift Shop collections. I used some cotton lace trim and Maraschino Twinery Twine with a BasicGrey button. I stamped up Judy from the New Moonlight Whispers 50's inspired release and coloured her with my Copics. I love her to bits and wanted to colour her with dark hair this time as she reminds me so much of Katy Perry!!! I used my Tim Holtz paper Distressing tool to rough up the edges of the red American Crafts cardstock and I also used my Kelly Panacci stitching stamps with Vintage Photo Distress ink.

Photobucket
Here is the inside of my card...I think Richie from the new Moonlight Whispers, 50's Inspired release is super cute too...love him in his letter Jacket!! The sentiments are Melissa Frances rub-ons and I also used a Catslife Press label. Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card! I hope you can join us this week at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge. Please swing by the KKSC blog and take a look at all the gorgeous cards the Krafty Girls have whipped up!

Happy Kraftin'!!!!

For my card today, I used the fabulous sketch that they have this week over at Friday Sketchers! I have inked up this Penny Black stamp called Sweet Thing...Mimi is so darn cute!!! I just loooovvvvee her to bits....she certainly is a sweet thing! I coloured her with my Copics, as per ususal. I cut the image out with my Rectangle Nesties and inked with Tumbled Glass Distress ink. I used 2 sheets from my BasicGrey Hopscotch 6x6 paper pad and American Crafts cardstock. I distressed the edges with my Tim Holtz paper distressing tool and I also stamped the stitching with my Kelly Panacci stitching stamps with Vintage Photo Distress ink. For the 3 embellies, I used ribbon/lace, scrumptious Prima Calcutta flowers  and BasicGrey Hopscotch painted brads. I embossed the Kraft cardstock strip with the Cuttlebug Argyle embossing folder. The sentiment is a Melissa Frances rub-on from the Little Girl/Princess Transfer Sheet.

 Photobucket
Here is the inside...I inked Mimi again and just coloured in the cherry on the cupcake with my red Sakura Stardust Gelly roll pen and I stamped the word sweet from Kelly Panacci stamp set and the word friend is a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps sentiment as is the sentiment on the label frame MFT Die-namics die.
