Photobucket

I have been visiting Lisa's beautiful blog Poppy Paperie  and admiring her gorgeous creations and beautiful design style! I was reading one post on her blog about white space...I'm thinking I have a lot to learn about that design principal. She is definitely an inspiration! I'm SO looking forward to her new Stamps and Dies for MFT. To welcome her to the MFT team I made this card with the Always Time for Tea Stamp and Die-namics set.  I love this Authentique 6x6 Loyal paper pad too and thought it would be perfect. I added some cotton lace trim and some Wild Orchid Crafts paper flowers from my stash, layered with the Botanical Beauty Die-namics cut from Kraft card and a few leaves with the Royal Leaves Die-namics. The sentiment is from the Always Time for Tea Stamp set and is stamped on pattern paper cut with the Fishtail Flags STAX.

Photobucket
Here is the inside of my card...I added a little die cut tea cup and a sentiment from the More Essential Sentiments Stamp set...one of my all time fave MFT sets.

Well, I hope you are as excited about our announcement that Lisa Johnson is joining MFT as we all are! Thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card! Head on over to Kim's Blog for more details and links to all the MFT Designers who have cards to share for this special occasion.

Happy Stampin'!

MFT Creative Challenge, It's all About Mom!

Photobucket

Hello Stampin' Friends! Welcome to our Design Team Creative Challenge, a monthly feature, where we challenge our design team to explore their creative side with a specific theme, product or technique. This month "it's all about Mom!" Be Sure to check out the MFT blog to see a list of all the designers with creative project ideas for you today!

Photobucket
I'm sharing a card and wine bottle tag that I made for my Mom for Mother's day! I used this super cute Pure Innocence Cute-A-Tude girl, that I just LOVE! My mom's favourite colour is red (and I love it too) so I pulled out these beautiful Echo Park, This & That Graceful 6x6 papers for the card. I coloured the PI girl with my Copics and paper pieced her dress, then popped her up on the panel created with the Oval STAX Die-namics and the Decorative Doily Die-namic. I also used the Monarch Border Die-namics and Pinking Edge Die-namics.

I created the sentiment by stamping the "I love you" stamp from the PI Rose set and the word "Mom" from one of the sentiment stamps in the PI Cute-A-Tude set. then I cut it out using Joanne B.'s "cut and re-cut technique" with the Chat Bubble Die-namics. To embellish I used some white cotton lace trim and Cherry Blossom flowers with the Royal Leaves Die-namics and of course, lots of pearls...I love me some pearls, if you haven't noticed, smile!

The wine bottle tag was created with the Let's Toast Stamp and Die-namics set, the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics, Oval STAX Die-namics and the Decorative Doily Duo and embellished to coordinate with the card.
Photobucket
Here is the inside of my card...I stamped the PI Cute-A-Tude girlie again. Here is another sentiment that I created with 2 different sentiment stamps just like on the front of the card. One from the PI Rose set and then the word "Mom" from a sentiment from the PI Cute-A-Tude! A little tip on how I do this...I ink only the portion of the sentiment stamp that I want to use. I find that my little Memento Dew Drop inks work well for getting the ink in the precise spot. I wipe away any ink that accidentally ends up on any of the surrounding letters with a baby wipe or my finger. I find that if I stamp the last word(s) first, it is easier to line up the beginning part of the sentiment, that is from another stamp.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my project for this month's MFT Creative Challenge! Please swing on over to the MFT blog to the listing of designers that have Mother's Day inspirational projects!

Happy Stampin'!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps...November Release Preview #1!

Photobucket

Good Morning Krafty friends! I have a quick post this morning to share one of the fabulous new Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps in the new November release that will be available this Sunday November 14th in the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps on-line store.  There are 6 new super cute and super krafty stamps in the Moonlight Whispers collection by Annie Rodrigue and Steven Leary has created 5 new wintry fun stamps with Miles and Pals.

For my card today I have inked up the Krafty Stamper...I absolutely love this image to bits, OMGosh, she is so cute!!!! So I made this card with all the things that I'm lovin' at the mo....crinkled seam binding bows, cotton lace trim, lots of pearls and lots of flowers! I made the cardbase from kraft cardstock and used Pink Paisless 365 Degrees 6x6 papers...love it!

Photobucket

Here is the inside...I thought this stamp would be perfect for an invitation to a crop or a krafty get-together with friends! Of course, as I am sitting here typing up this post I see the typo on the inside of the card...I printed out the info on the computer...not sure I would want to go scrapin'....scrappin', yes! Of course, it is sooooooo obvious to me now after the pics are taken and all...uuugghh!!!!
Photobucket

Well, thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card! Please have a look at all the great previews by the Krafty Girls there is a list of links to their blogs over on the  Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 52 and BasicGrey Challenges # 30.......Spooky Birthday Wishes!

Hey Krafty friends! I hope you are all doing well! I bet you are looking forward to Halloween! Well, only one more sleep, my krafty little goblins! I hope you can squeeze some Krafty time in and around your busy Halloween party schedule, as, we have fabulous challenges this week at both, Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge and BasicGrey Challenges! This week the challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is set by the super Krafty and oh so hilarious, Andrea and she is asking to see creations that are Primarily Purple. Over at BG Challenges, the talented Heather, has designed a beautiful sketch for us to use! Just remember that if you want to be eligible for the prize at BG Challenges you must use at least one item of BasicGrey product and let us know what the BG item you used in your post! To be eligible for the prize at KKSC, which is the super cute stamped image Virginia that Andrea has used on her creation this week, you need to use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamped image on your creation!

Photobucket

So, I made my DT card for both challenges this week and thought I would make a Halloween birthday card and play off the idea of getting older...soooo old, in fact, you are a ghost, he, he, he! I used this really cute and fun Halloween image from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps called Hattie from the Moonlight Whispers collection. I coloured her with my Copics and Twinkling H20s and cut the image out with my Nesties. I left the image in the die and sponged with Metallic Rub-ons to give it a spooky feel. I used AC cardstock and BG Kioshi 6x6 papers and I embellished with AC ribbon, Prima flowers and WOC roses. Unfortunately, I went and covered most of the layout up with flowers and you can't see the circle of paper that is part of Heather's beautiful sketch...Opps! I'm not loving this card, friends...something just not right with it and I didn't do the best job on colouring this super cute image...sorry, I just didn't do Hattie justice with this one!

Photobucket

The sentiment on the front of the card is a Melissa Frances rub-on and for the inside sentiment I used a C.C. Designs sentiment for "spooky" and "Birthday Wishes" is from Kimmie's Everyday Sentiment set!

Photobucket

Well, I really hope you can join us this week at both Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and BasicGrey Challenges! I'm looking forward to seeing all your gorgeous creations!

Halloween hugs,

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 50 & October Release Preview # 1!

Good morning Krafty friends! Well, I am back from my wee blog break! I went on a Caribbean Cruise with my hubby and the kiddos and we had an absolutely fabulous time on Liberty of the Seas. I hope to have some pics to share with you from our trip once I get a new computer...yes, unfortunately, I am still without a computer and only have my Dad's to work on. I have been so busy since I got back that I haven't had time to do any computer shopping yet! But it is top of my to do list, trust me!

Photobucket

Well, enough rambling, time to get krafty! Today we have a new challenge over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge blog and I'm the hostess this week! We would like to see you make a card with Non-Traditional Christmas Colours! The krafty Girls are also starting the previews from the new Sweet Holiday October release that will be available in the Kraftin' Kimmie on-line shop on Tuesday October 19th. There are 6 super cute images from Annie Rodrigue and Steven Leary is back again with super cute stamps with Miles the Mouse and pal.

Photobucket

So, for my card I used Christmas Clara....just love her to bits and in keeping with the non-traditional colours I used this scrumptious BoBunny patterned paper called Winter Joy that I just adore...be prepared to see lots of it over the next little while, smile! I used one of the sparkly Winter Joy brads and I embellished with Prima and WOC roses and American Crafts ribbon! I also sprinkled a few lilac half pearls here and there and added lots of stickles to Clara so she is really sparkly IRL! The sentiment on the front of the card is actually on the patterned paper!

Here is the inside...the sentiment here comes with one of the other stamps, "Nick", from the new Sweet Holiday October Release and I will be sharing a card with him later this week!

Photobucket

Well, I hope you have some krafty time this week and can join the non-traditional Christmas colours challenge! I will be at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps booth #425 at Scrapfest today with Kimmie and many of the other Krafty Girls. I hope to see you there and it is a chance to get your inky paws on the new release right away!!!

Have a Stampin' Great Day!

I teamed her up with some new patterned paper by Cosmo Cricket called Mitten Weather...it is so pretty and I love that it is in a 6x6 paper pad too! Photobucket

So, for my card I used Willow with Coffee to Go and coloured her with my Copics. I used my large Oval Nestie to cut out the image and inked with Old Paper Distress ink. Again, I used Echo Park Life is Good patterned paper...love it and made the cardbase from AC cardstock. I used Prima and WOC flowers, and other flowers from my stash, AC ribbon and a sprinkling of brown half pearls! I also used my MFT small scallop Di-namics border die and did some stamping with my Kelly Panacci Stitching stamps. The sentiment is from the MFT Essentials Sentiment set!

Here is the inside...pretty simple...love this sentiment by C.C. Designs!

Exciting News and Magnolia Down Under Challenge # 64...Fancy Folds...Happy Birthday to you...!!!

Good morning crafty friends! I have some exciting news to share with you and I made my first envelope box for the Magnolia Down Under Challenge # 64...Fancy Folds!!! I made it with my Martha Stewart Score board and the fabulous tutorial that Annika did up on her gorgeous blog Another Messy Crafter. Hope my "envelobox" is not too much of a stretch for the Fancy Folds challenge...I know it is not nearly as fancy or complicated as the other gorgeous and intricate cards the MDU DT have created but I really wanted to play along!

Photobucket

So, my exciting news is.......I am one of the 4 new DT members for Magnolia Down Under Challenges blog...Whoo Hoo...I'm so super excited! What a fabulous DT and challenge blog they have!!! I am so honoured to have been picked alongside the likes of Camillia, Debbie Dolphin and Denise, 3 amazingly talented stampers!!! WOW!!! A total surprise for me and I am just soooo ecstatic!

Photobucket

So, I made this envelope box for a card I made a while back and have been saving to give to my friend's daughter on her upcoming birthday! When I first saw Annika's tutorial using the MS Score Board I was very intrigued...then I saw the MS score board at Micheals so I picked one up and today I attempted my first envelope box! It was super easy following along with Annika's tutorial and I am so glad to finally know how to make these fabulous boxes for my bulky easel cards! So I made this box to go with this easel card for Olivia ! She just loves the Tilda cards I make for her and she loves princesses too...what 4 yer old, soon to be 5, doesn't, right!

So, I thought to celebrate my exciting news, about joining the Magnolia Down Under Challenges DT, I would join the challenge even though this envelope box is a bit of a stretch for the "Fancy Folds" challenge! I have been dieing to colour this Tilda as a Ballerina image for a while. I also know that Olivia has been taking ballet lessons too...so I thought it would be perfect! I am very happy with how Tilda turned out. I added a lot of Glamour dust to her tiara and the swirls! I pop-dotted her on the front panel of the envelobox and coordinated it to match the Tilda Princess card and added her name to the box with QK Maddie Anne.

Photobucket

Well, I hope that you will be able play along with the me and the fabulous DT over at the Magnolia Down Under Challenges blog every Sunday! I offically start at the begining of October and I am so excitited...eeekkk!

Well, thank so much for stopping by again!

Belles 'n Whistles Stamps Challenge..Lace & Frills and Sketch Saturday # 120...You Make me Happy!

Good morning crafty friends! I have a quick post this morning to share the card I made for the Belles 'N' Whistles challenge. I also made this card playing along with the fabulous sketch by Jeanette over at Sketch Saturday but once again I've deviated from the sketch and quite a bit this time! I'm not sure that my card even resembles Jeanette's lovely sketch anymore...ooppss!!! But it was the perfect nudge and mojo bust that I need to get me going on this card.

Photobucket

So, for my card I made the base 6x6 from brown Colorbok Cardstock. I used this gorgeous MME Quite Contrary paper and matted with pink American Crafts cardstock. The Challenge at B 'n' W is Lace and Frills so I use some cotton lace trim and made a pleated frill with pink crepe paper which I have been meaning to forever and finally got to it and love how it looks. I also used some yummy Martha Stewart Seam Binding that I've crinkled myself and tied a double messy bow and added BG button with hemp twine in the centre. I also added some pink Prima flowers with BG Nook and Pantry brads and one of these gorgeous WOC roses!!!! I just love this chartreuse green...OMGosh, so yummy...I'm hording the rest of them, smile! The sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and giggle is a rub-on that I had in my stash!

Photobucket

I used this adorable B 'n' W image called Beary Big Hugs and coloured it with my Copics and added darker shadows, well, I attempted to, add darker shadows with Brushed Corduroy Distress ink and a dry brush like I saw on Angie Hunt's blog Scrap Girl here. Mine doesn't even look close to her gorgeous colouring but I will keep practicing with this dry brush technique but I think I need a better and smaller brush, lol!

Well, thanks so much for stopping by having a wee peek at my B 'n' W card!

Simon Says...STAMP-TEMBER Blog Hop....Holiday Wishes!

Good afternoon crafty peeps....well, I am back again, this time to share my Simon Says STAMP-TEMBER blog hop challenge card! WOW!!! what a blog hop that was!!!! Phew, I am exhausted (but in a good way, smile) from hopping around to all blogs and from seeing all the detailed work, creativity and care that the Simon Says Challenge DT and the Simon Says Stamp & Show DT put into all their creations! Absolutely Stunning creations!!!

Photobucket

Well, then I got to work making my card and I thought I would use this adorable Tilda that I coloured with my Copics! I thought she would be great for a Christmas card...she is blowing you Holiday Wishes, smile!!!! I also used the fabulous sketch by Dawny P over at the Just Magnolia Challenge blog. I did deviate from the design a wee bit but not intentionally. I just went of track from my original plan mid way and well this is what I came up with but I think you can still see Dawny's fabulous sketch in there under all the flowers and bling, lol!

Photobucket

I used BG Eskimo Kisses 6x6 paper pad and Bazzill Basic Bling cardstock and made a6x6 easel card. I did some masking with Tilda and the Magnolia envelope stamp and then used the "Out of the Box" technique and cut Tilda out with my Oal Nesties as I didn't want to cut away all the little sparkles in the image. To embellish I used lots of Prima flowers, one WOC blue Gardenia, lots of bling, Glimmer Mist and Glamor Dust! I used some American Crafts ribbon and the pink ruffle trim is form my BG Teamie and blogging friend, Tara W. The sentiments are Melissa Frances rub-ons (which I just so happen to get at Simon Says Stamp) and the Holiday Wishes sentiment is a Kraftin' Kimmie Sentiment stamp.

Photobucket

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my Simon Says STAMP-TEMBER Blog hop Challenge card!

I am keeping my fingers crossed...maybe I will get lucky and win the big $100 shopping spree or maybe some of the delish candy the DT have available on their blogs! Why don't you get hopping!

I added a big gorgeous WOC gardenia with with some Prima flowers and roses. I used some AC ribbon and sprinkled a few gems here and there. The sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

Here is the inside and this sentiment is also a KKS sentiment.

Hello friends! Hope you had a restful weekend with a little crafting thrown in for good measure! I did but it was a little drab though being overcast and raining off and on. Well, back to the grind stone today! Well, before I head off to work, I thought I would post this card that I made yesterday for my friend. Her sister is getting married in October. I have been dieing to ink up this sweet stamp of Tilda and Edwin tying the knot....love the beach theme to this image....so romantic. I made my easel card 6x6 from Colorbok cardstock and I used the Magnolia Doohickey border die Tilda's lace...just love this border it is soooo pretty and the dies work like a dream. I also used some American Crafts fabric rose trim....in a buttery yellow and it is just so scrumptious!

The Sentiments are Melissa Frances rub-ons and I really love the sentiment on the bottom of the easel card, it is a chipboard sentiment by Colorbok.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card today!
