I made my SugarPea Designs birthday card with the adorable Merry ChristMoose Stamp set. I LOVE that this set is not just for Christmas but for winter birthdays too! I have a birthday coming up soon and I think it's nice to brighten things up and add a little warmth and sunshine to a winter birthday with bright colours. I used a mix of BoBunny's Candy Cane Lane and BasicGrey Evergreen 6X6 patterned papers. I coloured up this cute moose with my Copics, fussy cut him out and popped him up on the tag cut with the Gift Tag Sugar Cuts. I haven't used vellum since I started scrapbooking almost 13 years ago. Vellum is having a resurgence and so I scoured my stash for some vellum, cut out another gift tag and layered it over the yellow patterned paper gift tag...love the softness it adds.

 photo SPDBdayHopD_edited-1RS4_zpsa8d870f9.jpg

I stamped out the various snowflakes from the Merry ChristMoose Stamp set and the Sweet Treats - Christmas Stamp set on the pierced circles. I stamped the sentiment from the Merry ChristMoose Stamp set in Steel Grey Premium Dye Ink on Sweet Tooth Heavyweight Card Stock cut with the pierced fishtail flag from the Gift Tag - Sugar Cuts. I embellished with some yellow sequins and tied the tag with yellow AC hemp twine.

 photo SPDBdayHopB_edited-1RS2_zps38949409.jpg

I finished off the inside of my card, as always. I stamped the Merry ChristMoose moose again in Steel Grey Premium Dye Ink and embellished with more circles stamped with the snowflakes. I added another tag cut with the Gift Tag Sugar Cuts but I only had a small scrap of the yellow patterned paper left so I used the "cut and re-cut" technique to make the tag a little smaller. I used the Layered Treat Label Sugar Cuts for the sentiment panel and stamped a sentiment from the Have an ICE Day Stamp set

Thanks SO much for hopping by and having a little peek at the birthday card I made for the SPD 1st Birthday Bash Blog Hop with the Merry ChristMoose Stamp set! Please remember to leave a comment HERE and on every blog post along the hop for your chance to win the $100 Gift Certificate. And we really want to see your birthday card creations so don't forget to LinkUp your card over at the SPD blog and now head on over to Veronica's blog to see what sweet creation she has to share!

My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 146...Happy Holidays!

Hey Stampin' friends! I thought I would play along with the fabulous sketch over at the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club....MFTWSC146! I'm just getting it in under the wire but it gave me the chance to make another Christmas card and play with the new Glimmer Glaze that I bought the other day too.

*** Make sure to enter your name in my BLOG CANDY giveaway for a MFT LLD Insert It - 3X4 Notebook Die-namics and I will include a few other fun crafting goodies too. Just add your name to the Link Up Gadget at the bottom of the post HERE.***
Good Luck!

Here is the fabulous sketch that I used.

 photo MFTWSC146_edited-1RS1_zpsb3204594.jpg

For my card I used the festive BoBunny Silver and Gold 6X6 paper pad and I matted with MFT Replenishments Heavyweight Card Stock in Brick Red and Jellybean Green. For the rectangle panel in the sketch I decided to use the LLD Insert It - 3X4 Notepad Die-namics. I also used the gorgeous Poinsettia Die-namics cut from pattern paper. After cutting out the flowers I turned them over on a foam mat and used my ball stylist, rubbing in circular motion, to add some dimension to the petals and leaves. Then I applied the Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze in Sangria and I used Parsley Glimmer Glaze on the leaves.

I stamped one of the fabulous sentiments from the NEW Cheerful Christmas Sentiments Stamp set on Primitive Cream Heavyweight Card Stock in Brick Red Premium Dye Ink.

 photo MFTWSC146C_edited-1RS3_zpse4b08f44.jpg

Here is a close up of the Glimmer Glazed Poinsettia...it adds such a pretty shimmer and glimmer and still lets the pattern in the paper show through...I really like how it looks and is very simple to use and dries quickly, so no long wait while it dries.

My very good friend and co-worker was just promoted to a management position. I made this card congratulating her on this accomplishment. I used the wonderful Vertical Greetings Stamp and Die-namics set. The sentiments are so inspiring, feature a beautiful mix of fonts and make fabulous looking cards, quickly. I can't seem to get enough of this gorgeous BoBunny, Country Garden 6x6 paper pad lately. I stamped a sentiment from the A La Modes Grad Girl stamp set on a pattern paper cut with the Fishtail Flags STAX. I also used the Simply Scallops Die-namics and the Circle Tag Die-namics that comes in the Let's Toast Stamp and Die-namics set.

So I have two cards to share with you, first up is Pure Innocence Surf Chick. Gosh, I adore her, she is So cute in her wet suit. I used the same paper pad for both cards BoBunny, Country Garden 6x6 papers. I thought the bright sunny colours of this paper would be perfect paired with Surf Chick! I coloured Surf Chick with my Copics and paper pieced her surfboard. I cut her out and pop-dotted her on the Open Scallop Doily Oval Die-namics. It is layered over an oval cut with the OVAL STAX and then cut an oval to fit inside the Doily too. I also used my Fishtail Flags STAX and layered them with the NEW Jumbo Squiggly Border...this border is fabulous and gives a lovely wavy effect. I also used the Sunshine Die-namics and the fabulous NEW Sentiment Strips Die-namics...I am in LOVE with this new Die-namics set...a must-have. I stamped one of the sweet sentiments from the Exclusive Sentiment stamp set, on the double Fishtail Sentiment Strip, that comes with this VIP kit and will not be available for sale again.

Photobucket
Here is the inside...I stamped the sweet Surf Chick as a shadow image and used a cute Birthday sentiment that comes with the PI Surf Chick stamp set. I always love having coordinating birthday sentiments.

Photobucket
Now, for the equally as cute Pure Innocence Surfer Dude! For this card I picked the blue papers and used my SQUARE STAX Die-namics. I used the negative of the New Jumbo Squiggly Border Die-namics and the Catch a Wave Die-namics. I layered and adhered everything down and then ran it through my Cuttlebug with with larges SQUARE STAX Die-namics again to cut off the ends. I also used the Sunshine and Fishtail Flags Die-namics. The cute sentiment is from the Exclusive Sentiment Set available only in this collection and it is stamped on another one of the fabulous New Sentiment Strips Die-namics

Here is the inside...I stamped the PI Surfer Dude again this is another sweet birthday sentiment that comes in the PI Surfer Dude stamp set.
