Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 1...Happy Birthday Deer Friend!

Good Morning "Krafty" friends!!! Are you ready to Part-ay!!!! Well get your party hats on friends cuz today is yet another exciting day for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps... we start our challenges today...whoot-whoot! That was Dorothy the Birthday Deer tooting on her party horn, lol!!! She is excited too, he, he, he!!!! Well, I just know we are going to have a blast on Saturdays and if you play along with us, you just may be the lucky random "Krafty" girl or guy to win one fabulous Kraftin' Kimmie stamp of your choice!

So, This weeks' challenge is nice and easy...Kim would like us to make a Birthday card with our Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, if ya have them, but we know you may not have your paws on them yet, so you are free to use whatever stamps you do have!
So, for my card I used sweet Dorothy the Birthday Deer and co-ordinating sentiment! Dorothy is from Crissy Cutie's Collection and is the perfect image for a cute birthday card, don't ya think?! I stamped Dorothy on ATS Copic paper and coloured her with my Copics and cut her out with my oval Nesties using the "out of the box technique" so that her party horn and hat would stick out of the oval just a little!

I made the cardbase 6x6 from orange Bazzill Bling cardstock and matted with blue Bazzill Bling! The pp is so pretty and I just love how glittery it is IRL and I really love the colours in it! Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the collection or the company that makes it...sorry! To finish off the card I added a few Prima flowers with BG brads in the centres, some yummy ribbon from my stash and a little Stardust Stickles on Dorothy's party hat and horn!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Blog Hop Extravaganza!!!!

Well, today is the big day...the day we have all been waiting for...today is the release of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and today, October 5th, is the day the Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps on-line store opens for business!

So....to celebrate we are having a Blog Hop Extravaganza...so if you just arrived here, then you need to go back to the beginning of the hop to Kraftin' Kimmie's Korner and visit all the DT's and special guest's blogs along the way! Make sure you leave comments as a random commenter will win the entire first release of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!! So the more you comment, the more chances you have to win!!!! Cool, eh!?

Now, there are a few things I need to tell you about Kim's fabulous stamps! They are unmounted and made from deeply etched rubber and she has two fabulous collections illustrated by two fabulous artists! Crissy Armstrong's collection is called Crissy's Cuties and that is exactly what they are, cutie patooties! Annie Rodrigue illustrates the Moonlight Whispers collection and they are whimsical, a wee bit "twisted" maybe even a titch scary and super cute all rolled into one...absolutely love 'em!!!! There is also a must-have sentiment set called Kimmie's Everyday Sentiments and it includes over 30 fun everyday phrases and this fab set was created by our very own, super Krafty Girl, Jeanne Streiff ....Phew, I think I got it all, smile!

So now on to my 4th preview card!!!! I made it following the fab sketch that they have this week over at the Sketch Saturday challenge blog! Meet, Maxwell! He is just too darn stinkin' cute...don't ya think!? He is from Crissy's Cuties Collection! I stamped him on ATS Copic paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured him with my Copics. I used Scenic Route paper that I had in my stash, some American Crafts ribbon, a few Prima flowers with BG Wassail brads and the Sentiment is a Melissa Frances rub-on!

Now before I sign off, I just wanted to say what an absolutely fabulous time I had at Scrappin' great deals! Sheila threw the most fabulous Launch party for Kimmie and the turn out was so inspiring and wonderful to see! The place was packed and there was such a buzz of excitement in the air! I am just so happy for ya Kimmie!!!! My cheeks still hurt a bit from smiling and laughing so much! It was wonderful spending the day with my friends Dana and Nicky Manel, Kimmie, Crissy, Andrea, Nana Diana, Sheila and Vicki!!! I want to give a special shout out to Maria *wave*...it was soooo good to meet you in person...*mwah*!!!

Sneak Peek # 3...Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Launch Party...here I come!

Woo hoo...ROAD TRIP!!!! Oh, I am super excited today as I am heading back to the London area for Kimmie's big Launch party at Scrappin' Great Deals! My friend Dana is coming too and we are picking up the super talented Nicky Manel on the way! This is going to be so much FUN!

So today's preview card features the absolutely adorable Charlotte and I really like Michele Boyer's description of Annie's images...they are just a wee bit "twisted" yet still very cute! Just how I like my stamps, lol! I love Charlotte's crazy hair too! Isn't it fun! The sentiment is from Kimmie's Everyday Sentiment set and I stamped it with Memento ink.

I made my cardbase 6x6 from Bazzill Bling cardstock and used BasicGrey Wisteria pp! I coloured Charlotte with my Copics and used lots of pop-dots, as per usual! The ribbon and flowers are from my stash and I used a Copic marker to colour the originally clear bling a dark purple.

and the inside sentiment is also from Kimmie's Everyday Sentiment set!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps meets BasicGrey Challenges #5...Furever Friends!

Good morning "Krafty" friends! I have another Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps sneak peek for you this morning and I combined it with the great sketch by Martine that we have over on the BasicGrey Challenge blog! I hope you can join the challenge this week or maybe next! All you have to remember is to use one BasicGrey product on your creation! Oh and make sure you check out the BasicGrey DT creations cuz they just ROCK!!!!

So, do you wanna know more about these cutie patooties...well, okay, let me introduce you to Roxy and Bernice! O.K. I have to say Kimmie has done a wonderful job naming all the characters...WOW, the names Roxy and Bernice just suit them to a T!!!!! Don't they!?

Now I have a wee confession to make....I'm not that good at colouring critters and because of that I have avoided cute animal stamps for fear of detracting from their cuteness with my bad colouring, lol!!! But I have taken the plunge! I hope I have done Crissy's gorgeous image of Roxy and Bernice justice!

So, I stamped Roxy and Bernice on ATS Copic paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them with my Copics and cut the image out with my new Nesties...Labels 7!!

For the card I made a 6x6 cardbase from pink Bazzill Bling cardstock and used my new fabulously Delicious BasicGrey Eskimo Kisses and one of the solid turquoise sheets from BG Lemonade! I also used some Eskimo Kisses brads too! I got my little paws on the Eskimo Kisses range when I visited Kimmie, Andrea and Sheila at Scrapin' Great Deals! I also bought this yum-O, cotton lace. I just love it and it was perfect for this card! I used a lot of pop-dots to give the layers some added dimension and I added a few Primas! The photo turns are a QK 2x2 die. Then to finish it off I added some Angel Wings Shimmerz to the flowers and to Roxy and Bernice!

Now isn't that the best sentiment! I embossed it with American Crafts Zing White embossing powder....such great stuff! I really love the look of a crisp white sentiment!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps...A Sneak Peek...Meet Francesca!

So are totally excited!? I am cuz today the Krafty Girls start our sneak peeks leading up to the official release of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps on Monday, October 5th!! And another important and fun day to remember is Sunday, October 4th for the LAUNCH PARTY at Scrappin' Great Deals. I will be there, as well as several of the Krafty Girls, Diana, Andrea, Vicki and of course Kimmie and illistrator Crissy Armstrong is driving down for the big day too!!!! I am sooooooo looking forward to it! I hope to see YOU there!

So without further ado, let me introduce you to Francesca from the Moonlight Whispers collection for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! Isn't she a doll! Gosh, I just absolutely love Annie Rodrigue's illustrations and I know you will to!

For this card I coloured Francesca with my Copics and distressed around the edges of the image with Tim Holtz Distress inks. I used my beloved BasicGrey Lemonade papers. The black strip is BG Urban Prairie. I added a few Primas, some BG Lemonade brads and American Crafts ribbon to finish it off! The sentiment is from Kimmie's Everyday Sentiments set and comes with over 30 cute and everyday sentiments! It is a must have set, as it covers off just about every sentiment that you need, and Krafty Girl, Jeanne Streiff created it!

Here is the inside and I used the cupcake accessory stamp that goes with Francesca and coloured it in with my Copics and used another one of Kimmie's Everyday Sentiments...Happy Birthday!

Simon says Red & Green...I'm in the Simon Says Stamp Designer Spotlight!!!!

Hello crafty friends! Sorry it's been so long since my last post but I was away at a work conference in London, Ontario! It was good but a lot of sitting and I'm not so good at sitting and pay attention for long periods of time, lol! The highlight of my week away was meeting up with Kraftin' Kimmie on Thursday night and hanging out with her and Andrea and meeting Sheila....so much fun!!!! I also did a little stash shopping too, he, he, he! So with all that, I was just pooped when I got home Friday evening that I just relaxed and took it easy all weekend! I didn't even have the energy to do much stamping...can you believe it,lol!

Well, I am so happy to share this card with you this morning...I just love the Simon Says Stamp on-line store and the Simon Says Stamp Challenge and when Lorraine e-mailed me and asked if I would like to be in the Designer Spotlight I was just so honoured and jumped at the chance! Simon says Stamp Challenge blog has a super fabulous DT...so many of favourite designers on the DT...make sure you check out their creations!

So, the challenge this week at the Simon Says Stamp challenge blog is a colour challenge, Red & Green...what a great opportunity to get a Christmas card or two made! So, that is what I did!

I made my card base 6x6 from Bazzill basics cardstock and used this yummy SEI pp called Christmas Mint. I just love this paper as it has such a great texture and some of the sheets have fancy finishes like foil, pearl and varnish...it is really pretty IRL! I also used the co-ordinating Christmas Mint brads!

I picked this Tilda as I thought she went well with the Nordic styled snowflakes on the paper and because I just love, love, love Tilda! Did you know that you can feed your Magnolia addiction at the Simon Says On-line store, lol!? I coloured Tilda with my Copics and distressed the edges with Metallic Rub-ons. The ribbon and flowers are from my stash! I used lots of pop dots to add dimension!

Sketch Saturday # 69, Simon Says Stamp, Anyone For Anya....Baby it's Cold outside!

Hey crafty friends! I have another card to share with you this weekend! I really should be doing laundry and packing, as I am going away on a work conference on Tuesday and won't be back 'til Friday evening! Guess where I'm going....to London...well, it sounds exciting but I'm just going to London Ontario, he, he, he, but I wish it was London England then I could visit some of my BG DT gal pals, smile!

I'm still very excited though cuz it's not too far from Kraftin' Kimmie and we just might take a road trip to one of her favourite stampin' and scrapbookin' stores Scrappin' Great Deals...I'm looking forward to it! I plan on bringing my Copics, some images, and my Ott light with me and colouring at night in my hotel room...hope my roomy doesn't mind,smile!

Well, I made this card today for 3 challenges....Saturday Sketchers #69 they have another fab sketch this week and did you see that I won last week's challenge...whoot whoot...25 buckaroos for Simon Says Stamp on-line store...that should get me a couple more Tildas ha, ha, ha! I also made this card for the challenge at the Simon Says Challenge blog they have a recipe this week...2 papers, 3 embellies and 1 image and for the Anyone for Anya? challenge...I finally got to join in with this new challenge blog and I am so excited to as I need to use my sweet Anyas more often than I do!

I made my cardbase 6x6 from red Bazzill Basics cardstock and used my new BoBunny 'Tis the Season paper that I bought at the Bella Boutique on Friday! Isn't it YUM-O...just love it!!! Now, I hope I still qualify for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge, as I know the recipe called for two papers and it looks like I have used 3 different patterns, but I am being tricky cuz the papers are double-sided, so, technically I did only use 2 papers, smirk! Ya know what they say, rules are made to be broken, lol! The challenge over at Anyone for Anya? is Funky flowers...so I picked these frosted Primas from my stash and inked them with Distress inks as I saw the super talented Kim do on her beautiful card! The Snow flakes are QK punched from DCWV Glitter stack paper I added some buttons and Scrappers floss to make my embellies! the ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment is a Melissa Frances rub-on!

I stamped Anya on my ATS Copic paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with my Copics! I gave her a red ribbon in her hair and I used my Sakura Glaze pen to make the band of her ear muffs and the buttons on her coat and boots a little glossy! I also used my Sakura Stardust pen for some glitter here and there!
