My Favourite Things....MFTWSC483 and CTD587...Heartfelt Thanks!

Hello stampin' friends! I spent the weekend #stayinghome and getting crafty! I made these sweet cards with the MFT Birdie Brown Free Digital Download that they have available on the MFT blog. Theses Birdie Brown stamp sets and sentiments are SOOO sweet!!! I used the fabulous colour combo over at the Color Throwdown # 587 and used the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge # 483. 

Love this great sketch and used MFT Heavyweight Cardstock in Kraft, Bubblegum, Spearmint and Steel Grey 

I recently got a new printer and I wasn't sure if the ink would be compatible with my Copic markers so when I downloaded the free Birdie Brown digital images it was a chance to test it out. I had my fingers crossed!

I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have any problems with the printer ink smudging or bleeding with my new HP Officejet 3830 printer. I printed this image on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cover stock and coloured this sweet nurse from the the MFT Birdie Brown Call the Shots digital download and cut out a sentiment too. I stamped the tiny open heart from the Reverse Confetti Unicorn Wishes on the nurses' chart and coloured in the image with my Copics.

For this card I used the Rounded Banner STAX Die-namics for the arched panel that the sketch calls for and I created a window. I also used the two different nesting sizes in the STAX set to make a frame from Kraft Heavyweight Card stock. I stamped a background with the Make Your Mark Background Stamp with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink on Smooth White Cardstock.  I embellished with some twine and sparkly YNS gumdrops.  

I finished the inside of the card too. I simply used the positive die from the Rounded Banner STAX Die-namics and made a tag. I layered another sentiment too. 

I made a second card with the same layout with the Birdie Brown Super Hero in Scrubs Digital Download. I fussy cut the images out and popped him up on the Rounded Banner STAX Die-namics window. I used the Make Your Mark Background stamp again (love it) with Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Ink.

I embellished with some hemp cord and a sprinkling of YNS pink gumdrops. I stamped a heart on his chart too.

And I finished the inside of the card too. I simply used the positive die from the Rounded Banner STAX Die-namics and made a tag. I layered another sentiment too.

Reverse Confetti - Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Party Time...Snow Bunnies

Merry Christmas stampin' friends! I made some time to make a card with some new Reverse Confetti Stamps and Confetti Cuts. I am SO glad that I did! I realized how much I miss getting crafty and really enjoyed the creative process. I hope to get back at it on a more regular basis in 2019.  So for my card today I used the super cute NEW Snow BunniesStamp set, coordinating Snow Bunnies Confetti Cuts and the Snow Balls Cover Panel Confetti Cuts.    For my card I used Reverse Confetti Card Stock in Cloud White, Aqua, Lime Green  and MFT Kraft and Sno Cone Cardstock
I am entering my card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Party Time! So for my card I envisioned the Snow Bunnies are having a FUN skate party ;)

So, I'm a slow poke when I am making a card so it really speeds up my creative process when I already have inked background paper on hand...just love when a card comes together (relatively) quickly. I found this inked background paper in my stash that I had made for another project and didn't use. The Bristol card stock was ink blended with Distress Oxide Twisted Citron and Peacock Feathers Inks. I cut it with the NEW Reverse Confetti Snowballs Cover Panel and layered it over a panel of Reverse Confetti Cloud White Card stock.

I coloured the skating snow bunnies with my copics, cut them out with the coordinating Snow Bunnies Confetti Cuts and created a little winter scene with the MFT Tree Lines Die-namics that I cut from a scrap of the same Distress Inked card stock. I also cut the stitched scalloped border from the MFT Blueprints 23. The larger cloud is from the Snow Bunnies Stamp set and the smaller matching cloud is from the RC/Simon Says Stamp Forest Friends Stamp set.

I framed the scene with the wonky stitched frame from the All Framed Up Confetti Cuts. I stamped a sentiment from the Snow Bunnies Stamp set on a stitched fishtail banner. I added some American Crafts twine and Your Next Stamps Gumdrops.

I finished up the inside of my cards...I stamped a shadow image from the Snow Bunnies Stamp set in Reverse Confetti Lime Green Ink and stamped a sentiment from the Sentimental Christmas Stamp set on Cloud card stock cut with the Tag Duo Confetti Cuts.

So for my February Blog Hop card I used the NEW EGG-Citing Stamp set and coordinating EGG-Citing Die set. I am SO ready for Spring, so it was a welcome break from the snow and cold to play with this SWEET set! I just have to say how much I LOVE the EGG-Citing Stamp set and the fun sentiments too.  

For my card I started by doing a little inking on a panel of Tim Holtz Distress Woodgrain Cardstock with Carved Pumpkin Distress Ink. The stitched horizontal panel is inked too but with Distress Oxide Inks Worn Lipstick and Fossilized Amber. I cut the YNS Open Scalloped Circle Die Set from paper that I inked with Distress Oxide Inks in Twisted Citron. 

I stamped the egg carton from paper that was inked with the Distress Oxide Inks with Your Next Stamp Premium Dye Ink in Black Olive. I then cut the various little chicks and eggs, coloured them with my Copic markers, added a little touch of sparkle with my Zig Wink of Stella Clear pen and then adhered them to the egg carton.  I popped the egg carton up on the Open Scalloped Circle panel and embellished with green hemp cord and Pink Sparkly Gumdrops. I separated the sentiment and stamped the "YOU ARE EGG-Stra" (love this... reminds me of my daughter, Hannah, saying "Mom, you are SO extra"...which is true, lol) for the front of the card....

...and I continued the sentiment to the inside of the card and added another egg carton with some more cute hatching chicks...the little guy that is upside down is just SO EGG-stra ;)

I have been having a lot of fun with my Distress Oxide inks and used them to make a blended background for this card with a pretty spring colour pallet. I sprinkled on some water to the inked background to get those fun water splotches. I just adore the NEW Your Next Stamp Music Chicks Stamp set. I coloured the various chicks up with my Copics, cut them out with the coordinating Music Chicks Dies and popped them up on the Window panel. I stamped this fun sentiment from the Music Chicks Stamp set with Your Next Stamp Premium Dye Ink in Black Olive.  I really LOVE the NEW Window Panel Die...definitely a must-have...SO many possibilities and the stitched detail adds such a great finishing touch to the card. The grass is cut with the retired YNS Spring Grass die but you can get the same look with the Stitched Grass Die. If you've visited my blog before you know I have a serious addiction to YNS Gumdrops...I added a sprinkling of Magical Pastel Sparkly Gumdrops on this card. I finished the inside of the card too....I used the Cool Tag set of Four Die Set and stamped another sentiment from NEW Music Chicks Stamp set and added another cute little Chick.  Thanks SO much for stopping by and havin' a little look at my Your Next Stamp Music Chicks card for the February Release! Reverse Confetti - Color Throwdown # 478 & Sketch Saturday # 498...Smitten Mittens

Hello stampin' friends! I always LOVE the great colour combos that they have at the Color Throwdown and this week's CTD478 is no exception! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this FUN colour combo and I am beyond thrilled to be the Featured Stamper and get to join the AMAZING CTD Crew!     

I used MFT Heavyweight Cardstock in Smooth White, Sour Apple, and Banana Split and I used MFT Premium Dye Ink in Razzle Berry and Sour Apple. I also used Distress Oxide Inks in Picked Raspberry, Twisted Citron, Broken China and Fossilized Amber

I also took inspiration from the FAB Saturday Sketch # 498! 

When I saw the inspirational photo with the fun colour combo that they have for the CTD478 this week I pulled out my Reverse Confetti Smitten Mittens Stamp set. I thought this stamp set with the CTD color combo would make the perfect "punny" Valentine's Day card. I stamped the mittens with MFT Premium Dye Ink in Razzle Berry and Sour Apple and cut them out with the coordinating Smitten Mittens Confetti Cuts.  

I also did a little inking with Distress Oxide Inks on Bristol paper to create the vibrant background with all the colours and added some shimmery splotches with Tattered Angles Shimmering Diamonds. 

The mittens are layered over the Reverse Confetti Lacy Scallop Circles Confetti Cuts and I used a sentiment from the NEW Reverse Confetti Heart Filled Sentiments Stamp Set stamped on Smooth White Heavyweight Card cut out with the MFT Dimensional Banners Die-namics.  I replaced the word "heart" in the sentiment with a stamped heart from the RC Unicorn Wishes Stamp set.        


I finished the inside of my card too...I added another pair of mittens from the Reverse Confetti Smitten Mittens Stamp set and a sentiment from the Heart Filled Sentiments Stamp set. La-La Land Stamps...CTD457 & CAS(E) This Sketch # 236...You're a Class Act

Hello stampin' friends! I made some time today to get crafty, colour up this darling La-La Land Digi stamp - Reading Marci and play along with a couple FUN challenges! I made this card with the pretty colour combo over at the Color Throwdown # 457 and I followed the sketch that they have over at CAS(E) This Sketch # 236. 

I used MFT Heavyweight Card stock in Pink Lemonade, Banana Split and Grout Grey 

I LOVE this sketch that they have over at CAS(E)This Sketch! CAS is not my go-to style but I really tried to keep this card simple...at least it is simple in my books! 

I finally did some inking with the Distress Oxide Inks that I recently bought on Strathmore Bristol Artist paper. Using the Bristol paper was highly recommend by Laura Bassen over at laurafadora in this video.... it is a GREAT tip for effortless blending! I used Worn Lipstick and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink and the sprinkled, flicked and dripped on some water for a few little water droplets. 
I coloured up Reading Marci with my Copics, cut the image with the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle Sugar Cuts from SugarPea Designs. I left the image in the die and inked with Spun Sugar Distress ink then matted it with Grout Grey Heavyweight Cardstock. The sentiment is from the Reverse Confetti Class Act Stamp set and stamped on Reverse Confetti Polar White Cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I tided the tag with Hemp cord and added a little sprinkle of sparkly gold YNS Gumdrops.  


I finished off the inside of my card too....I printed another digi image of Reading Marci as a shadow image and then stamped the sentiment from the Reverse Confetti Shine from Within Stamp set on a tag cut with MFT Traditional Tag STAX Die-namics.
