Oh, I had a really busy week at work...again! Sorry, I wasn't able to visit everyone's blog and leave a comment this week! Sheesh, there just isn't enough hours in a day to do all the things that I WANT to do and all the things that I HAVE to do! Such is life!
Well, the one thing that I do when I am driving around the country side, from one assignment to the next, is listen to my music on the radio and muse about card designs/ideas! I have been mulling this idea over for a few weeks now but just didn't have the right layout, until, I saw this week's FABULOUS sketch at my favourite sketch challenge blog Friday Sketchers by the uber talented, Carole!!! Please go to Carole's blog, Stardust, Gems and Ribbon and have a visit!!! Make a cuppa (cuz you will be there a while), sit and admire all her stunning cards!!! I am always soooooo inspired by Carole's cards. I just LOVE her style and she is such a sweetie too!!!!
I also made this card for Challenge # 45 this week at CCT Valentines....what a perfect challenge...I am just having a ball making all these Valentines cards!!!
So, I am not sure if you noticed or not but I'm a huge fan of Quikutz. I have a pink QK Squeeze and a ton of shape dies and alphabets too! I have filled 4 pink and black QK binders, yikes!!! I also have a Silhouette Digital Craft Cutter!!! I just {HEART} my Silhouette! I made a wee new years resolution to try and get more use from my Silhouette and my QK stuff, in general!
So, I decided to use this Tic Tac Toe game GSD file from the Sweetheart Digital Design Portfolio. I cut a separate heart for the middle of the game in Berry Blush Bazzill cardstock and the heart tag is also from the Sweetheart Portfolio. I pop-dotted the hearts and Tilda too!
I made the cardbase 6X6 from Bazzill Blackbird cardstock and used these fabulous Making Memories 6X6 papers called Sabrina that I bought at Micheals. This is one of my favourite colour combos...so much fun!!!
I stamped Tilda on Georgia Pacific paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with my Copic markers! I used white acrylic paint for the highlights and added a Little Stickles here and there!!!!
I used some more of the gorgeous Grey grosgrain ribbon from American Craft and I am sadly coming to the end of my roll, *pout*!!! All the brads are MM Sabrina coordinating brads, the sentiment is from a MFT set and then I added the black Prima Fabric flowers!
So, I am really happy with how this card turned out and I'm so glad that I am using my Silhouette and getting good use out of my Sweetheart Digital Design Portfolio. It is probably one of the most versatile portfolios!
Now with all this talk of Hugs & Kisses I have a question to ask! Don't worry it's not a skill testing question, lol!!! No, I'm just wondering which is which??? Is "X" a hug and "O" a Kiss or vice versea??? What do you think? let me know!!!!
Hugs....& Kisses,

Oh Wow Tara...first of all, thanks so much for your kind words, gosh how kind of you :-)
Your card is just amazing...what a great idea! Perfect colouring of Tilda and gorgeous papers as always. X is a kiss in the UK, so I guess O must be a hug LOL!
All your cards are super Tara. I love to hang around a while and look at them.
Thanks for trying my sketch.
Have a nice weekend.

What a super card! Really unique!Love the Tilda and the shapes. I am a QK nut too. Doesn't help that I work at a craft shop that stocks the largest supply of them in the UK, I am forever spending my wages. The Silhoette is great too, so much to choose from. Hugs Heidi xx
Hey Tara! Oh my word, I just love your card, what a fabby idea! Tilda is looking stunning as usual, she looks good coloured with copic :O). I agree with all the others "X" is the kiss and "0" is the hug.
Hope you have a top weekend!

For me 'X' is the kiss and 'O' is the hug...
Beautiful card. I know what it's like to 'have' crafting tools and not 'use' them. Glad to see you are making good use of your die cutting systems... I'm pleased to say I am too. Yay! Great card. Love the pop-dotted Tilda.

Tara what a lovely lovely unique card ! i love the colours and love the design ! i would say the x is the kiss !
OMG is this adorable! I love how you used tic tac toe! So fun!!! I so need to use my Cricut more..it's just sitting and collecting dust...I like to color with my copics so much more than cut with my Cricut! ha ha! My cuttlebug gets way more use than my poor cricut! As for your question, I think the o's are hugs and the x's are kisses! Wonderful card Tara! You did a stunning job!
Hugs~ Kim
