WOJ Challenge # 25....A Spring Birthday!!!!!

I hope everyone is enjoying the start of the long Easter Weekend! I sure am enjoying the extra time in my craft nook! I got up bright and early this morning to finish up this card that I started for the WoJ Challenge # 25 last night!!!! Katharina has another super sketch for us and I couldn't pass it up, as I just love her sketches they always inspire me and turn out such fanastic cards every time and once again I'm very happy with how my card turned out using one of Katharina's fab sketch!!! I flipped the sketch cuz I wanted to change the oval to an egg shape! I cut it one from Prism Simply Smooth White card and the mat from Dark purple Bazzill Basics cardstock on my handy dandy Silhouette. I also took inspiration from this card on Katharina's blog and followed her instructions on how she cut and formed the straight border around the half circle! So, I cut the "apron lace" border on my Silhouette from the Bazzill Basics cardstock but I snipped notches into it, careful not to go all the way through, and curved it around the egg shaped mat and taping it on the back as I went!!!
You should head over the Katharina's blog to see all her great creations but she just so happens to have some fabulous blog candy!!!!!!!! She is giving away a set of her new stamps from the Medieval Times Collection 2 by Alison Acton!

I stamped Willow with flower on Prism Simply Smooth Cardstock and coloured her with my Copics and sponged the edges with Metallic Rub-Ons and inked the edge with Pretty Petunia VersaMagic DewDrops Chalk ink and added Crystal Stickles here and there!

I cut a 6x6 Cardbase from blue Bazzill Bling cardstock and used BG Euphoria patterned paper. I added a few Prima flowers with MM Glittered brads from my stash and a few dollar store roses that I Shimmerized, smile!!!! The fab ribbon is American Crafts and some great Ribbon that my BG Challenges bud, Martine, sent me in a wonderful RAK...thanks, hun!!!! The Sentiment is a Melissa Frances Rub-on and I added the little butterfly charm from the dollar store!

Here is the inside sentiment for the CC Designs Sugar Plum Sentiment set!!!

Thanks for stopping by and having a wee look!!! Hope you can squeeze in some stamping and crafty fun in between all the business of the Easter weekend!!!!
Hugs,
