My Favorite Things...MFT Color Challenge 138 & Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge...You're a Good Egg!

Hello Stampin' friends!!! It has been a very long time since I have made a card and posted here on my blog but I have been staying home and self-isolating/social distancing, like everyone one else, during the COVID19 pandemic. We finally got around to giving my craftroom a refresh with a coat of paint. We had this mini-reno in the works for a while but hadn't got around to it. So, we finally did it! Chris painted and hung up the pegboard that my Dad made for me and my Mum painted it. I love it!!! Everyone did a great job! Scroll down to see some craftroom pics.

So, I made this card with this adorable MFT Somebunny Sweet Pure Innocence stamp. I think she is retired now but this is my first time inking her up. I made this card with the pretty color pallet for the MFT Color Challenge 138.  I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. They have a beautiful spring mood board for inspiration.

I made my card with MFT Heavyweight Cardstock in Primitive White, Razzle Berry, Blu Raspberry and Reverse Confetti Sunshine Cardstock

I coloured the Somebunny Sweet Pure Innocence with my Copic markers and I created a little scene with the flower accessories stamp from the Mud Buddies Pure Innocence Stamp set. I cut the image with my MFT Rectangle STAX Die-namics and did some inking with Distress ink in Tumbled Glass  and Mowed Lawn.

I made the scalloped frames cut from Primitive White Heavyweight Cardstock with the Stitched Rectangle Scallop Edge Frames Die-namics. I stamped the background with Blu Raspberry Premium Dye Ink on Primitive White Cardstock with Crosshatch Background Stamp.

I stamped a sentiment from the Somebunny Sweet Pure Innocence Stamp set and embellished with some stamped and copic-colored eggs from the same set, cut with the coordinating Somebunny Sweet Die-namics. I wrapped the stitched sentiment strip with some hemp twine and added a sprinkling of Your Next Stamp sparkly Gumdrops.

I finished the inside of my Somebunny Sweet Pure Innocence card too. I stamped a shadow image of the PI girl and her little friend with Blu Raspberry Premium Dye Ink and stamped another sweet sentiment from the set with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink. I created a layered sentiment with my favorite Layered Treat  Tag Die-namics.

And as promised here are some pics of my craftroom...paint colour is Benjamin Moore Coventry Grey.

My room is very small but it works for me and I love having a dedicated space and everything close by and I love being able to close the door on a crafty mess!

The baskets are from Michaels and I just punched a hole with my Crop-A-Dile and hung them on the pegboard hooks. I plan on hanging stamps and dies that I want to use on a specific project or that are NEW so that I remember what I have and use them.

My Dad made these shelves a long time ago but they weren't painted...so when Chris took them down to paint the walls and painted them white. They look great white!

Thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my my spring/easter card with the adorable Pure Innocence Somebunny Sweet Stamp set for the MFT Color Challenge # 138

My Favorite Things...MFTWSC368 & CTD476 - Thanks Snow Much

Hello stampin' friends! I can't believe this is the my first post of 2018...one of my new year's resolutions was to do a little more stamping, card-making and blogging, than I did last year. I'm going to have to step it up! Well, I'm glad I carved out a little crafty time today to play with this NEW Pure Innocence Stamp set Blowing Kisses. I love this little girl and really enjoyed making a PI card again...missed her.

I made my card with the fun sketch, MFTWSC368, that they have on MFT Challenge blog. I flipped the sketch to better accommodate by image.

I also used the pretty color combo from the Color Throwdown 476 and was inspired by the inspirational photo to make a "snowy" card.

I used MFT Heavyweight Cardstock in Chocolate Brown, Natural and Reverse Confetti Heavyweight Cardstock in Mist and Cloud White

 photo MFTWSC368B_edited-RS1_zps0x0ujdop.jpg
I colored up the sweet NEW Pure Innocence girl, Blowing Kisses, with my Copics and paper pieced her dress with patterned paper. I thought instead of blowing kisses she could be blowing some snowflakes....perfect for my snowflake themed card. I used some chunky glass glitter adhered to the palms of her hands. I don't have the MFT Stitched Mod Rectangle STAX so I swapped it out for the MFT Stitched Rounded Rectangle STAX Die-namics. I made a frame with the set and layered it over the pretty snowflake patterned paper from the Simple Stories Winter Wonderland 6X6 paper pad.

I stamped a sentiment from the retired MFT Pure Innocence stamp set, Thanks Snow Much, from my stash and heat embossed it with AC Zing White Embossing powder and layered the sentiment strip over the circle element cut with the Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics and the Circle STAX Die-namics. Surprisingly, I kept this card rather clean and simple...I wasn't trying, it just kind of happened but I did add a few YNS white sparkly Gumdrops.

I finished off the inside of my card too...I stamped a shadow image with MFT Chocolate Brown Premium Dye Ink and I added another white embossed sentiment from the Pure Innocence Stamp set Warm Wishes.
Thanks SO much for stopping by and having a little look at my Pure Innocence Blowing Kisses Card for the MFTWSC268 and the Color Throwdown # 476.

Aloha stampin' friends! I'm SO glad that I was able to play along with the August 15 Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Hibiscus. It's been a busy month but I finally found the time and crafty mojo to make this Pure Innocence Hula girl card! We've been to Disney on vacation for 2 weeks to celebrate Hannah's 18th birthday and graduation from High School, then when we returned she had her wisdom teeth out, now, we are in full-swing packing/shopping mode for Hannah's big move to Ottawa, where she will be attending University. I hope you can find some crafty time and join us for the August 15 - Curtain Call Challenge - Hibiscus.

When I saw this beautiful tropical inspirational photo for this challenge I decided to pull out my MFT Hibiscus Die-namics and my MFT Pure Innocence Hula Girl Stamp set!

I made my card with MFT Heavyweight Cardstock in Whip Cream, Sno Cone, Bubbelgum, Pink Lemonade, Razzle Berry, Gumdrop Green and Spearmint

I made this following the fab MFTWSC345 sketch that they have over at the MFT Card Challenges blog

I cut the Hibiscus flower and leaves from MFT Heavyweight Cardstock in Razzle Berry, Bubblegum, Pink Lemonade, Spearmint, Gumdrop Green. I Inked the flowers with Abandoned Coral and the leaves with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink. I stamped the sentiment from the MFT CS-Blue Skies Ahead Sentiment Set on Whip Cream Heavyweight cardstock cut with the Reverse Confetti Tall Tag Trio Confetti Cuts with Jet Black Archival Ink.

Blueprints 1 and 13 are go-to Die-namics for the main panels of my cards and then I used the Die-namics Rectangle STAX 1 and 2. I coloured the cute PI Season's Tweetings girl and birds with my Copics and paper pieced her outfit.
