Whiff of Joy # 53 & Friday Sketchers # 76...Warm Thoughts

I am back with another card that I made this afternoon with my new Whiff of Joy Winter stamp set. It came in the mail on Tuesday and I have been itching to ink up this little cutie checking out her stocking. So, I thought I would join the challenge over at the Whiff of Joy challenge blog. This week they have a colour combo which is Red and Cream plus a colour of your choice. I'm not sure my card will qualify as I started with the sea foam green and then added in the peachy pink too and didn't really use too much cream but I am thrilled with how this card turned out anyways. I also used the great sketch that they have over at Friday Sketchers designed by Aud! I really love this sketch...all the layers are right up my alley and I'll definitely use it again!

My cardbase is 6x6 from light green Bazzill Bling cardstock and I used this winter Cosmo Cricket pp called Jolly by Golly! I just love the non-traditional colours and whimsical images on this paper! I matted with some peachy pink Bazzill Bling and added the red Bazzill Bling tag. Love this sea foam green American Crafts ribbon that says Santa Claus on it and I thought it would be perfect for this card. I used one of the sentiments that came in the WOJ Winter Stamp set and stamped it on a Nesties tag, inked ith with Distress inks, added a BG brad and pop-dotted it.
I am not sure if this little girl is named Lizzie or not but she is so sweet and she is my fave WOJ Winter stamp right now. I just adore her and I stamped her on ATS Copic Quality paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with my Copics. I cut the image out with my rectangle Nesties and embossed it. I inked the edges with Antique Lined and Brushed Corduroy Distress inks. I added some Butter Cream Shimmerz here and there for a little sparkle.
Thanks for stopping by to have a wee peek!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 4 & BasicGrey Challenges #7...Holiday Cheer!

Happy Halloween Krafty Friends! Have you been sneaking a few chocolates here and there too?! Oh, I know I have, lol! I just hope we have enough left for the all the kidos, smirk! I am a little sad cuz my kidos don't want to wear cute costumes anymore. No, they are totally into everything gross, gory and lots of fake blood, lol! Yes, they are growing up, sigh!
Well, today is Saturday and that means it's challenge day! First up we have the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge today! I am the hostess and I say "Tag! You're it"! Yes, I am challenging folks to use a tag(s) on your creation big, small, die cut or a recycled clothing tag...whatever your heart desires as long as there is a tag on your creation! Since, I have used, sweet Piper, one of the new images from the November release (that will be available tomorrow November 1st) the winner of this weeks Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge will win Piper....YAY!!! So, make sure you play along!
I also made this card for the BasicGrey Challenges. This week the fabulous Tara W picked this great inspirational photo for us to use! I love the great colours in this image. It was such fabulous inspiration! Thanks Tara! Well, I hope you can play along with the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge and Basic Grey Challenges.

So for my card I used the colours in the photo and I picked Piper cuz she is holding a yummy cup of hot chocolate and there is a cuppa in the pic on the stack of magazines. I was also inspired by the pattern in the sofa with the white dots that gradually go from large to small.
So I made my cardbase 6x6 from chocolate brown Bazill cardstock and used BG Wassail and Bittersweet pp. I then stamped Piper from the Moonlight Whispers collection on ATS Copic Quality paper and coloured her with my Copics. I used the "Out of the Box" technique so her hat wouldn't get chopped off when I cut her out with the circle Nesties! I used this American crafts burgundy velvet scalloped ribbon at the bottom! It is so yummy...I just love it! My sentiment is from the fabulous Kimmie's Holiday sentiments set. There are 44 fabulous and perfect holiday sentiments in this set... love it! And it was created by our very own Krafty girl, Jeanne! I stamped the sentiment on a QK 2x2 tag. I added lots of half pearls and some Prima flowers left over from last year.

Well, Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek! I hope you can join both the BasicGrey Challenge and Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge. Also, make sure you come back tomorrow as Kimmie and the Krafty Girls have some extra fun planned for release day and I am sure you will already be "hopped" up on chocolate and candy so that should work to your advantage, *wink*!
Big hugs,

Just Magnolia # 28 & Cute Card Thursday # 83...Sweetie!

Good morning, friends! Well, I am feeling a bit better and I will be going to work today...I have a pretty busy week ahead of me and I have to tell ya that I am a bit nervous about this Thursday. I have mentioned before that I am a Migraineure and have been since I was about 9-10 years old. I have tried many different treatments over the years and I am set to try yet another. I will have my first of five nerve block injection on Thursday, YIKES! It sounds painful, doesn't it!? The injection are in the base of the skull/neck area. Well, I just hope it doesn't hurt too much and that I get some relief! I let you know how if goes!
So, I needed to make another B-day card for a friend at work! She like s to cook and bake so I used this cute Tilda from the Yummy collection that I already had coloured to co-ordinate with BG Lemonade. I Then stamped the Magnolia cupcake and coloured it with my Copics and cut it out with my oval Nesties.

I made the 6x6 cardbase from pink Bazzill Bling cardstock and used Martine's fabulous Sketch that is over at the Just Magnolia Challenge blog this week! I just had to move the tag so that Tilda could fit in. The sentiment is a Studio G stamp. I used some Prima flowers that I Shimmerized and some American Crafts ribbons. The buttons are BG Indian Summer. I am also entering this card in the challenge at Cute Card Thursday...Candy Corn...they want to see something sweet on you card and it doesn't have to be Halloween related.
Here is the inside....the sentiments are from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Kimmie's Everyday Sentiments set. I just noticed that the strip of cherry paper is upside down....oopps...think anyone will notice, smile!
Well, Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek! Hope you have a great week! Oh, I will have some some sneaky peeks of the November release of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps later this week so make sure stop by again!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 3...Shades of Autumn!

Hello Krafty friends...HA CHOO! Well, I hope you have all managed to avoid the bug that is going around, sniffle! Unfortunately, Hannah and I came down with it Tuesday evening and we've been in bed suffering for the last 3 days! We are just starting to feel a little human again, smile! This isn't going to be a long post as I don't think I sit here in front of the computer for long but there is one thing I can be cheery about that is it's Saturday and that means it's time for the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge!

This week the challenge is hosted by our talented Vicki and she wants to see you use the Shades of Autumn - rust & brown or green & yellow and you can add other colours too. We also have a Krafty friend joining the challenge so make sure you take a look at Simonne's card using Kraftin' kimmie Stamps and don't forget about all the other Krafty Girls they have such great inspiration, as always!

For my card I used sweet Daisy one of the images from the Crissy's Cuties collection. I stamped Daisy with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on ATS Copic Quality paper and coloured her with my Copics and cut her out!

I made the cardbase 6x6 from green Bazzill Cardstock and used these beautiful Making Memories Autumn patterned papers. There was a strip of plum in the one pattern so I used some plum Prism cardstock as an accent...purples and plums are really a great fall colour! I used some Prima flowers and other green sheer fabric flowers from my stash and some green ruffly American Crafts ribbon and MM Jewelled brads. I used my Label 9 Nesties for the mat that Daisy is sitting on and pop-dotted the image. The sentiment is from Kimmie's Everyday sentiments.

Here is the inside...again I used my Label Nine Nesties and used another one of the sentiments from the Kimmie's Everyday Sentiment set. This is such a great set and so versatile...it is really a must-have item!

Well, thanks from stopping by and having a wee peek! I hope you can pull out those fabulous autumnal colours and join us at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge blog for another fun challenge!

Just Magnolia # 27 & Sketch Saturday 73....M-E-O-W...!!!!!

Hey! Hope you are all had a great weekend! Yesterday I had to get up early and clean my house as Kieran had his Psycho-Educational assessment here in the afternoon. He has been struggling with learning to read but he is a real trooper, smile! I think he has Dyslexia just like me and my Mom! Well, I guess they aren't calling it Dyslexia anymore...so he may have a reading disability!
We've been getting the run around from the School Board...since Kieran isn't a behavioural issue at school they are only doing the bare minimum to help him! If I wait for them to do the Psycho-Educational he'll have graduated by then. So, I hired a private Psychologist...he is actually a retired school Psychologist and he does house calls and works on the weekend...how awesome is that!!! Well, the assessment went well although I am sure Kieran would have much preferred to be outside playing with his friends. He will have to do once more as the psychologist will come back again next Saturday to finish it off.
I also spent the weekend making up 48 card kits for my Copic classes at Scrapbook Emporium!Glad that is out of the way! I did get some time to do some fun stamping too! I need 2 B-day cards and so I thought I would play along with the challenge over at Just Magnolia...Bright and Zingy! That works for a B-day card! I used the sketch over at Sketch Saturday but I have to say that this card kinda took on a life of it's own, so I've deviated quite a bit from the original sketch!
Hope it still counts!

I used up scraps that I had of this zingy Baby Safari paper by Little Yellow Bicycle Co. and made a 6x6 cardbase from yellow Bazzill Bling cardstock and used green and orange Bazzill Bling for matting. Again...I used lots of bright Prima flowers and American Crafts ribbon, some yellow velvet trim that I bought at Micheals. I stamped Tilda with Cat on ATS Copic Quality paper and coloured her with my Copics, cut her out and pop-dotted her on the mat. The tag is a QK die and the sentiment is Melissa Frances rub-on.

Here is the inside...I might be the only one who finds this funny since I'm an interpreter! Just so ya know, I don't usually interpret for kitty cats,he,he,he!
Well, thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card! Hope you have stampin' great week!

I stamped Tilda on ATS Copic Quality paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with my Copic markers! I cut her out with my Nesties using the "out of the box technique"! I cute the red Bazzill bling with a Fiskars border punch and added a ton of Prima flowers. Yeah, I went a little overboard with the Primas...I just couldn't stop myself, lol! I love this scrunchy, ruffly ribbon that I bought the other day at Scrapbook Academy! The sentiment is a Melissa Frances rub-on and the ticket stamp is from a clear stamp set that I bought at Micheals. I added a little Stardust stickles for a little bling!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge # 2 Use your Buttons...Smooches!

Hey "krafty" friends!!! So, are you as glad to see the weekend as I am!? I am so glad that it is time to do some Kraftin', some stampin' and a little blogging! It just so happens to be our challenge day over at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps Challenge blog and we have a great challenge this week! The hostest with the mostest is our lovely and talented Jeanne! She has picked this week's challenge, "Use Your Buttons" and the lucky winner will receive sweet Posy as that is the image that Jeanne is showcasing on her card!!

We also have two very talented and super duper krafty guest "Krafty Girls" joining us this week! Katy Harrison from Katy's Bloggeroo and Michele Boyer from Paper Cuts! Make sure you check out all the Krafty Girls blogs and see how everyone has used their buttons!

So, for my card I used Lilith! She is just so sassy and I just love the expression on her face. I guess I would be a little sassy too if I had a frog on my head, lol! Whenever I see sassy Lilith I always think of a Princess kissing a frog and having him turn into her Prince charming. Well, this sentiment from Kimmie's Everyday Sentiment set was a perfect match for Lilith! I stamped Lilith with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on ATS Copic Quality cardstock and coloured her with my Copics!

I made the cardbase 6x6 from Prism Kraft cardstock and matted with Bazzill Basics cardstock. I used some scraps of Scenic Route pp and this cute Prima printed Twill that I bought at Scrappin' Great Deals. I used my Fiskars Apron lace border punch and buttons and some hemp twine to finish it off!

Sketch Saturday # 71...Ooh La la...it's Kiki La Rue!

Hey! It's me again! WOWZERS!!! Two posts in one day...that never happens for me! Just wanted to share this card I made this morning for one of my bestest girlfriends who has a B-day coming up real soon! I don't know about you, but I think the best B-day gift one could get, is just kickin' back and relaxing, with a cuppa and not a care in the world....oh and maybe a trip to the spa for a massage, smile!

So, I decided to use the, oh so sweet, Kiki La Rue...OMGosh, I love her name and she is just a cutie patootie! She is a C.C. Designs stamp that I bought at Scrappin' Great Deals when I went to Sheila's fabulous store for the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps launch party!

I followed the great sketch that is over at Sketch Saturday this week...I just flipped to fit with my image!!!

I was drawn to these yum-o papers in the Indian Summer 6x6 paper pad and used Bazzill Basics Cardstock from my stash! I am so thrilled that I can use some the Bazzill cardstock that is in my Monochromatic sets that I don't normally use as they go so nicely with Indian Summer! I stamped Kiki on ATS Copic Quality paper and coloured her with my Copics and shimmerized her. I also took my blue Sakura Stardust pen and just gave her a little sparkle in her eye! I cut her out with my rectangle Nesties and pop-dotted the image!

Here you can see her sparkle and shimmer with Angle Wings Shimmerz...I shimmerized the Caboodle Prima Flowers that I also bought at Scrappin' Great Deals....love 'em! Ribbon is American Crafts and a bit of bling to finish it off! The sentiment is from a MFT set!

here is the inside "kick back and relax" is a MFT sentiment and Happy Birthday is from the Kimmie's Everyday Sentiments set!
Hubby has the turkey in the oven and the aroma is starting to waft through the house and it smells yum-o!!!! Can't wait to dig in, smile!
Well, thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek!

Just Magnolia # 26 & Cute Card Thursday # 81...Made with Love!

Hey! I hope all my crafty Canadian friends are having a great Thanksgiving weekend and eating a lot of turkey and yummy pumpkin pie, smile!!! I have been doing a lot of stamping and card making this weekend and I love that it is a long weekend cuz I get an extra day to play with stamps...bonus!!! I don't get a lot of crafty time during the week, so I have to cram it all in on the weekends, smile!
So, I decided to make a card with Mina's fabulous sketch over at Just Magnolia Challenge blog! I loved your great sketch Mina and I will definitely use it again! I combined it with the So charming challenge at Cute Card Thursday!
I made the 6x6 cardbase from brown Bazzill Basics cardstock and used red and green Bazzill to mat. I teamed it up with this yummy BoBunny Tis the Season pp! I stamped Tilda on ATS Copic Quality paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her in with Copics! The Catslife Press stamp "Officially Winter" and Magnolia "Made with love" sentiments were stamped on the green pattern paper and cut out! I added lots of Prima flowers with Ice Stickles and BG brads and I dangled this sweet heart charm from the big flower!
Well, there you have it another card! We are having our turkey today! Making the turkey is definitely not my job...oh no...not, if we actually want to be able to eat, ha ha ha! My Hubby Chris has the honours of making us Thanksgiving dinner! Yeah, I can't cook worth beans but I'm okay with that, smile! More time to stamp...see there is a method in my madness, lol! Oh, I finished Breaking Dawn Saturday night and I am so sad that it is over... I will miss them Edward and Bella and all the other characters...what a fabulous series...I highly recommend it if you haven't read it! Next I am going to read Host by Stephanie Myer...I've heard great things about it from friends...YAY!
Thanks for stopping by having a wee peek at my card!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy 1 Year Anniversary Whiff of Joy...Challenge # 50....Gratitude...Friends!

Oh, I finally got a chance to use my Whiff of Joy fall Stamps...there are just too many gorgeous stamps out there, that I MUST own, and not nearly enough time to ink them all up,lol! When I saw that it's the Whiff Of Joy's 1st anniversary, then I new I had to join the party over at the WOJ Challenge blog...what a fabulous reason to use wee Willow, who has been so terribly neglected, smile!
Well, it was such a joy colouring sweet Willow with a baby turkey and it was a pleasure to use Rach's fabulous sketch for this special celebration challenge # 50, over at the WOJ challenge blog!

I also used my new BasicGrey Indian Summer 6x6 pad for this card too! I wasn't sure I was going to like this collection as much as I do ALL my other BG papers but guess what...I LOVE IT!!! Hey was there ever any doubt, lol!!! I absolutely love the colours and the great patterns! It is definitely my new fave BG paper! I just so happened to have this great Bazzill cardstock that co-ordinated so nicely and I will have to get some more as it's such a great match....the 6x6 cardbase is made from Berrylicious and I matted with Desert Sun. The ribbon, Prima flowers, MM Gem brads and MM metal sentiment are all from my stash.

I stamped Willow with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on ATS Coipic Quality paper and coloured her in with my beloved Copic markers! I added the MM rub-on to the main image and sponged around the image with a white glittery Metallic Rub-ons...it makes it really sparkle IRL!
Here are the Copic colours I used for Willow:
E000, Eoo, E02, E21, E08, E 33, E51, R20, R21, R22, R32, R17, YR000, YR20, YR23 & Colourless Blender
I finished the inside too...I stamped the WOJ pumpkins and sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured the pumpkins in with my Copics!
