My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 235 and CTD # 349...Happy Purrthday!

Hey stampin' friends! I know I've been MIA but I decided that I needed to take a blogging/crafting break, regroup, take time to relax and enjoy the summer.

Chris and I went to Disney World (just the two of us) in May and I wanted to lose a few pounds before we went, so I embarked on a journey to good health, getting fit and eating clean! I'm loving this journey and my new FitBit ;D

Well, I spent sometime making a birthday card today and it was a bit scary...I worried that I forgot how?! But I needed to make a card for my daughter, Hannah's 16th Birthday! Thankfully, the card went together painlessly with the help of a great sketch - MFTWSC # 235, that they have over at the MFT Challenge and Inspiration Blog and a pretty colour swatch at the Color Throwdown # 349!

Here is the fun sketch that I used...

and I used MFT Heavyweight Cardstock in Orange Fizz, Blu Raspberry, Whip Cream and Kraft
for the CTD # 349 Colour Combo

I wanted to ink up this sweet Pure Innocence Feline Better Stamp Set and Pure Innocence Feline Better Die-namics. I coloured the PI girl and the kitty with my Copics (I coloured the kitty to resemble, Kato, our chocolate Siamese) and paper pieced the PI girls dress with patterned paper. The papers are a mix of different ranges from my extensive stash of 6X6 paper pads.  I cut out the circle panel with my Stitched Circles STAX Die-namics and the floral patterned paper is cut with the stitched panel from Blueprints 23 and I added the scalloped edges from Blueprints 23 too. I stamped a sentiment from the PI Feline Better Stamp set with Chocolate Brown Premium Dye Ink on Whip Cream Heavyweight Card Stock cut with the Fishtail flag from Blueprints 12. Finally I sprinkled the card with several Orange YNS Gumdrops and wrapped the sentiment strip with some brown AC Hemp Cord and tied a loopy bow.

I finished of the inside of the card too, as always, I stamped a shadow image of the PI Feline Better girl and kitty in Kraft Premium Dye Ink. The sentiment and the ball of yarn is from the PI Purrfect Stamp set

Thanks SO much for stopping by and havin' a little look at my PI birthday card for Hannah...I can't believe she is 16 years old...time flies.
