Happy New Year, Stampin' Friends - My Favourite Crafty Creations of 2016

Happy New Year stampin' friends! I thought I'd keep up with my tradition and recap some of my favourite cards of 2016. I always enjoy this little trip down memory lane. I was also very fortunate to join the Curtain Call Crew in 2016 - one of my all time favourite challenges...the crew is such an amazing group of talented, supportive and kind-hearted ladies led by Stacey...such an honour to be a part of the Crew!

Unfortunately, I wasn't quite as productive over the course of the year, as 2016 proved to be a rather challenging year for my husband and our family. We were dealt a blow early in the year, when in February, we learned that my husband, Chris, had Small Bowel Cancer, a rare cancer, making it difficult to diagnose. It wasn't at all what we wanted to hear but it finally answered our longstanding question as to the cause of over 3 years of pain and suffering.  Now,  he is doing very well, he got through surgery and chemotherapy and we are very happy to have that and 2016 behind us. I have a very good feeling about 2017...I know it will be a good year for us!

My Favorite Things...MFTWSC #312 - Happy Christmas

Happy Christmas stampin' friends! Wishing you all a wonderful day spent with family and friends! I'm just stopping by to share a Christmas card that I made for the MFTWSC # 312 Sketch Challenge with one of my all time favourite Pure Innocence stamps - Season's Tweetings

I used MFT Heavyweight Card Stock in Kraft, Black Licorice, Electric Red and Jellybean Green
and I used Authentique Joyous 6X6 patterned papers

Blueprints 1 and 13 are go-to Die-namics for the main panels of my cards and then I used the Die-namics Rectangle STAX 1 and 2. I also used the largest vertical strip from the Vertical Strips  Die-namics and re-cut it to fit the span of the card. I coloured the cute PI Season's Tweetings girl and birds with my Copics and paper pieced her outfit.

I used the Open Scallop Doily Duo Die-namics cut from corrugated Kraft cardstock and layered it over the fishtail banner cut from Black Licorice and Jellybean Green Heavyweight cardstock. I stamped the  sentiment from the Happy Christmas Pure Innocence Stamp set with Sweet Tooth Premium Pigment Ink and embossed with AC Zing White Embossing powder. I embellished with some Hemp cord and red YNS Gumdrops

Thanks SO much to all my stampin' friends for visiting and havin' a little look at my card for the MFTWSC Sketch Challenge # 312!

Reverse Confetti - Merry Christmoose

Hello stampin' friends! I had a lofty crafty goal set for this weekend but just managed to get one card done. I used my new Reverse Confetti Merry Christmoose Stamp set and Confetti Cuts and lots of other Confetti Cuts.
I used the December SFYTT #43 sketch again...it's a really good one!

I coloured this adorable moose, trees and the north pole sign with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens/markers and stamped the images with Archival Brilliance Black Graphite Ink and clear embossing powder on Strathmore Bristol.

I gave this cute moose a little toque from the S'more Love Stamp set and Confetti Cuts. I stamped a sentiment from the Merry Christmoose Stamp set with AC Zing White Embossing powder. I embellished with some AC hemp twine and mauve YNS Gumdrops.
