My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 56....Berry Sweet of You...!

Photobucket

Hello stampin' friends! I made this card yesterday for the MFTWSC56! I decided to ink up this super cute MFT Pure Innocence Berry Sweet stamp and teamed her up with this gorgeous BasicGrey Kissing Booth 6x6 papers....my new fave BG papers at the mo! I coloured the sweet PI girlie with my Copics and I used one of the little "strawberry seed" stamps that comes in the set to stamp in the seeds on her dress. I went over each seed with my Sakura Clear glaze pen to give them a little sheen. I added tiny little black pearls to her shoes with my Viva Decor Black Pearl pen.
Photobucket

For the circle feature on the sketch I used the larger of the 2 dies from Dizzy Doily Duo and I also used the Solid Bracket Border Die-namics die. I added some ribbon and a sprinkling of red gems here and there. I used one of the sentiments that comes in the PI Berry Sweet stamp set and stamped it on patterned paper cut with the ribbon die from the First Place Awards Ribbon Die-namics.

Here is the inside...quite simple.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card!
Have a stampin' great week!

The Sketchy Challenge # 15, BG Challenges 61 & Saturated Canary 9...Sending Smiles!

Photobucket
Hello stampin' friends! I have a card to share today that I made for a few challenges! I followed the gorgeous sketch over at The Sketchy Challenge designed by the super sweet and uber talented, Kellie, I used several of my favourite things on this card which is the challenge over at BasicGrey Challenges and I also made this card for the Saturated Canary Challenge # 9 which is Punches and Dies.
Photobucket
For my card I have used the gorgeous Lolita Saturated Canary Digi and coloured her with my Copics and PrismaColor Pencils.

I am not sure if you have read about the despicable thing that has happened to Krista Smith, the artist of Saturated Canary Digis and Simply Sassy stamps for Sugar Nellie.  It's a shame that she has been a victim of copyright violation of her intellectual property. Krista has posted all about it here on her blog. Please read it so that you are aware that someone is selling "knock-offs" of her designs. These digi's that this person is selling are no where near as beautiful or of the same artistic calibre as Krista's art work.  This person is even using the same names for the "knock-off" images, that Krista uses for her SC Digi images.  Please leave Krista some love and support on her blog! We need to support the artists if we want to have gorgeous stamps and digis to colour!!!!!

So back to the card, I cut the SC image of Lolita with my Nesites die and left the image in the die and inked with Spun Sugar Distress ink. The papers are 6x6 BasicGrey Kissing Booth, my new fave and I have used my fave MFT Wonky Scalloped Border Die-namics die and used a sentiment from the MFT  Poppy Pure Innocence Set and stamped it on the Ribbon Die that comes with the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics. I added some crinkled seam binding and a BG button and sprinkled pink half pearls here and there.
Photobucket
I re-sized and printed Lolita again to add a shadow stamp of her to the inside of my card the sentiment comes with the MFT Pure Innocence Set Something Special Just for You and I stamped it on BG Kissing Booth paper cut with the MFT Framed Greetings Die-namics die.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card!

Hope you have a stampin' great week!

My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 55....So Grateful...!

Photobucket
Hey stampin' friends! Just wanted to share the card that I made for this week's MFTWSC55. I am making a concerted effort to keep up with all the of the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club sketches. So, I thought I better get cracking on this week's card cuz I am going to the Guelph Mega Crop tomorrow to hang out with my pal Kraftin' Kimmie and the Krafty Girls...YAY!!!
Photobucket
I got some new stash this week from Lora at One Crazy Stamper on-line shop and I have to tell you how impressed I am with the service from One Crazy Stamper...incredible selection, outstanding service, great prices and lightening speed shipping. If you are looking for a great place to shop, I totally recommend you try One Crazy Stamper!!! So, I got this gorgeous 6x6 MME  Love Me paper pad and it is SO pretty...love it! I got a few older MFT PI stamp sets that Lora had on sale too. I used this one called PI Rose and I just adore her! I cut her out and cut off the rose this time. I wanted it to look like she is holding the layered labels sentiment.  I coloured her with Copics and paper pieced her pretty dress...love her dress to bits. I gave her sparkly pink tights by using my Quickie Glue pen and then sprinkling some Glamour Dust on them. I am loving the Layered Labels Die-namics die and I used one of the sweet sentiments that comes in the PI Rose set. I also made a felt flower with My Favorite Felt and the Pretty Posies Die-namics and Perfect Petal Trio Die-namics sets.
Photobucket
Here is the inside...I stamped PI Rose again in London Fog Memento ink and just didn't ink up the rose and then strategically placed another Layered Label Die-namics with a sentiment from the PI Something Special Just for You set. I added two more wee felt flowers.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card for MFTWSC55!

Hope you have a stampin' great weekend!!!

I would love to see you there!!!  For the class lineup and to sign-up, go to The Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps website here!!! Can't wait to see you there!!!

Photobucket
I also made a card tonight for the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 111. They have a fantastic sketch by Krafty Girl, Nicole, and I have been dying to ink up, the super sweet, Bella, so I thought I would play along!!! I also made this card for the challenge over at BasicGrey Challenges, Something New...(I have used my new Mini Tab Die-namics Foursome and Bella is a new stamp).

I made my card base 6x6 from American Crafts cardstock and used BasicGrey Piccadilly 6x6 paper pad. I also used the Crown Die-namics border on my card. I coloured Bella with my Copics but I had some problems with my Neenah card bleeding. I am usually pretty happy with the results that I get with the Neenah cardstock. I guess it was a bad sheet or something. Well, this was the second image I coloured for this card and I was getting frustrated and tired, so, please don't look too closely at the colouring job on this one....no my best work.  I left the image in the die and inked with Old Paper Distress ink. The sentiment is a Melissa Frances rub-on. It is on white cardstock cut with one of the Mini Tab Die-namics Foursome.  I also added some bling, lot of Stickles and ribbon from my stash with a BasicGrey button.

Photobucket
Here is the inside...I stamped Bella again with Ladybug Red Memento ink and used a sentiment from Kimmie's Everyday Sentiment set.

Well, I really hope you can make it to the Guelph Mega Crop on Saturday and hang out with Kimmie, the Krafty Girls and me too!

Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card with this week's sketch at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge and for BG Challenges!

My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 54....One of a Kind Friend!!!

Photobucket

Hey stampin' friends! Just a quick post tonight to share the card that I made today for the MFTWSC #54 challenge! I got a MFT package in the mail on Friday, so, I had new stash to play with. I finally decided to ink up this super cute Pure Innocence stamp called Paper Dolls after much deliberation. I used some gorgeous MME 6x6 papers called A Happy Heart! I just adore these pretty papers...such a great colour combo! I coloured the PI Girlie with my Copics and paper pieced her dress and the paper dolls and cut one of the paper dolls from a different paper to reinforce the sentiment.

Photobucket

I Used my new Jumbo Monarch Border Die-namics die and some satin ribbon and pink pearls. I inked up parts of one of the sentiments that comes with the PI Paper Dolls stamp set and stamped them on the wavy pennants from the Mini Wavy Pennants Die-namics set and used the pennant pole from the mini Pennant Die-namics set.

Photobucket

For the inside of the card I stamped a shadow image of the PI Paper Dolls stamp and used the Layered Labels Die-namics. I stamped "friend" from the Well Worn Greetings Stamp and Die-namics set on the oval tab die from the Sweet Stack Die-namics.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card for MFTWSC54.

Have a stampin' great week!

The Sketchy Challenge # 14 and Saturated Canary DT Call!

Photobucket
Hey stampin' Friends! Wanted to share a card that I've made with the great sketch over at The Sketchy Challenges by Corry! Lot's of fabulous layers on this sketch and it was such a great sketch to work with! I also thought I would join the DT call over at the Saturated Canary Challenge blog. They are looking for  3 DT members for 3 months! The DT call closes on January 21st! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Krista Smith's Saturated Canary digi images and I have compiled quite a few of them as they are SO stinkin' CUTE. I just haven't got around to using all of them but you will be seeing more SC cards from me as I just love em' to bits and have promised myself to use them more. I have used the precious Peace and Love Hipster digi and I have sized the image to be quite large...larger thn most images. That is the cool thing about digis...you can re-size them to suit your needs! I have colourd Peace and Love Hipster with my Copics and cut around the image leaving a small white border and pop-dotted her on the card.
Photobucket
The card base is 6x6 and I have used my MME Mabel 6x6 paper pad. I cut the large Peace Symbol on my Silhouette Digital Craft cutter and inked around the edges with Tea Dye Distress ink. The Martha Stewart Ribbon was in my stash and it is SO pretty and shimmery. I used a few MFT Die-namics here too, the WoNkY Scalloped Border Die-namics, the Peace Sign Die-namics and I stamped the sentiment on the mimi Oval Tab die from the Mini Tab Foursome Die-namics set. The sentiment is from the MFT ALM Disco Queen Stamp set.  I sprinkled a few pearls here and there and I used a BasicGrey fabric brad and Prima Hydrangeas. The SC Hipster girlie is also sparkly IRL as I used a Stardust and Orange Sakura pen to add some sparkle and the Clear and black Glaze Sakura pen on the buttons on her skirt and the peace symbol on her t-shirt.
Photobucket
Here is the inside of the card...I love adding a shadow stamp on the inside of my cards because these are digi images, I re-sized the image to be smaller than the front image and printed it out again and trimmed the paper to the size to fit the inside of the card. To ebellish I added another Peace symbol cut with my Peace Sign Die-namics, more Prima flowers, and pearls. The sentiment is from the Disco Queen MFT ALM set and stamped on craft card cut with the Framed Greeting Die-namics die.

Thanks SO much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card for the Saturated Canary DT call!

Have a stampin' great day!

My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 53....Frosty & Fabulous!

Photobucket
Hello Stampin' Friends! Well, just a quick post tonight to share the card that I made for this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge!  I didn't get a chance to use this super cute MFT Pure Innocence Frosty and Fabulous stamp set before we went to Disneyland, so I thought I would ink up this fabulous snowman for this week's MFT WSC challenge! I love this new PI Snowmen just as much as the Holiday Hugs Snowman...they are SO super cute and make such great looking cards with little effort...love that, especially when you are pressed for time!

Photobucket
I paper pieced the Snowman's hat and scarf and did a wee bit of colouring with my Copics. The pretty papers are from a MME 12 Days of Christmas 6x6 paper pad. I added some Liquid Applique to the bottom of the snowman for a little dimension and lots of Stickles to make it sparkle. I also used my new Fringed Perennials Die-namics die to make this cute flower embellie. The sentiment comes in the Frosty & Fabulous set and I stamped it on the patterned paper cut with the ribbon die from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics.
Photobucket
Here is the inside....I stamped the Snowman again and used another one of the sentiments from the set...stamped it on Kraft cardstock cut with one of the dies from the Layered labels Die-namics.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my MFTWSC53 card!

Happy Stampin'!

My Favorite Things Stamps...January GDT Contest & MFTWSC52!

Photobucket
Hey stampin' friends! It is good to be blogging again! This is my first post for 2012...Whoo hoo! We went to Disneyland in California for the Christmas holiday and just got back on 30th! It is SO good to be home! We had a good time but a few things didn't go as planned and well, it wasn't the best vacation ever...just okay!  Well, I missed stamping and making cards so I thought I would get inky and join the MFT January Guest Designer Contest! The challenge is Paper Piecing and I LOVE to paper piece!

I was inspired by this sweet Echo Park 6x6 paper pack called Country Drive and thought it would be fun to make 5 coordinating Valentines. The papers had cute little ladybugs, bees, butterflies and birdies on them so I pulled out 5 different Pure Innocence stamp sets that co-ordinated with the patterned papers and I paper pieced all the PI Girls. Just to warn you this post is rather long as there are lots of pics of all 5 cards.

I also took the opportunity to play along with the last sketch of 2011 for the MFTWSC challenge. The first card, Bee Mine, is using the MFTWSC52. I also used some other sketches that I didn't get a chance to use this past year. MFT is having a fun contest over at Splitcoast Stampers MFT Forum too. If you have made 1-52 cards with the 2011 MFTWSC sketches and posted them on Splitcoast then you should register, HERE,  in the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch Challenge - End of Year PARTY!

Photobucket
So for the first card, as I said, I used the MFTWSC sketch 52. I paper pieced this sweet Honey Bee and also coloured some parts of the patterned paper with my Copics. I used the Mini- Pennants Die-namics and the Die from the First Class Friend Stamps and Die-namics set.
Photobucket
Here is the inside....very simple.
Photobucket
On this card I used Ladybug and matched her up with the ladybug papers in the Echo Park paper pack. I used the Double Scalloped Border Die-namics and the File Tab Die-namics.
I paper pieced the ladybug, coloured in her spots with my Copics and layered her wings for some extra dimension.
Photobucket
Here is the inside.

Photobucket
For this card I used Pure Innocence Butterfly Kisses stamp set. I paper pieced her body suit and wings and layered the wings and bent up the edges for some dimension.  I used MFTWSC Sketch # 51 for this card.

Photobucket
I stamped the sentiment on kraft cardstock cut with the Bracket Tab Die-namics and used my Simply Scalloped border Die-nmaics.
Photobucket
Here is the inside.

Photobucket
For card # 4 I used PI set called You're So Tweet. I paper pieced her and colourd her with my Copics.  I made this card following MFTWSC Sketch # 26!
Photobucket
I used the Decorative Doily Die-namics and stamped the sentiment on kraft cardstock cut with the ribbon die from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics.
Photobucket
This is the inside of the card.

Photobucket
And for the last card in the set. I used PI Feeling Froggy....love her to bits! I paper pieced her and gave her green jeans....how fun is that!!!! I Stamped her and the wee froggy and masked them and used the flowers from the Mud Buddies PI Set. I cut the image with my Oval Nesties, left the image in the die and inked with Tumbled Glass Distress ink and Old Paper Distress ink. I made this card following MFTWSC Sketch # 27!
Photobucket
I stamped the little froggy on the natural Twill tape again like I did on a previous card...love how this looks! I also used the speech bubbles from the Say What Die-namics set. I stamped "I Love You" from the Ladybug Set on one speech bubble and the word "Toad-ally" from one of the sentiments in the Feeling Froggy set on the smaller speech bubble.
Photobucket
and here is the inside!

Well, I hope you survived that post...rather lengthy, I know, sorry! Thanks SO much for stopping by and having a wee peek at all my Paper Pieced Valentine cards that I made for the January MFT Guest Designer Contest! Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for this one, smile!

Big Hugs,
