Then GET SKETCHY with MFT this month!

Here is the fabulous sketch that we have for you this month!

Photobucket

I bought a Recollections wire 12X12 scrapbooking page holder at Micheals and made this page of our Disney vacation last Christmas for my Mom's Christmas present. The Wire holder has 10 plastic page protectors in it so this year I plan to make pages of our family events and everyday moments to add to the holder.

The papers are Simple Stories Handmade Holidays and I used my fave High-Rise Alphabet Die-namic Upper, Lower Case and the High-Rise Numbers Die-namics for the title. I cut the alphabet from corrugated cardboard and inked the edges with Jasmine Mix'd Media Inx.  The Long fishtail Strip was cut with the Fishtail Flags and Fishtail Layers STAX Die-namics. I cut the Insert It - 3X4 Insert Die-namics from Whip Cream Heavyweight card stock and stamped a sentiment from the Seasonal Sentiments Stamp set. I also stamped the word "December" from the Document It - December Stamp set.  I cut several Holly leaves from MFT Replenishments Felt in Jellybean Green and Sour Apple with the Holly Leaves Dies from the Jumbo Christmas Stocking Die-namics and cut the berries from Wild Cherry Felt. I added Red Hot Buttons ties with Hemp Cord.

* If you are interested in any of the My Favorite Things Stamps and Die-namics that I have used on this page they are all in the InLinkz list at the bottom of the post...just click on the image for more info.

Photobucket

I cut Whip Cream Heavyweight Card Stock with the Sentiment Strips Die-namics and stamped the "Smile" sentiment from the Document It - Captured Memories Stamp set.

Photobucket

I also cut the File Tab Die-namics from Whip Cream Heavyweight Card Stock and stamped the "Captured Memories" sentiment from the Document It - Captured Memories Stamp set.  I also added the medium sized Triple Scallop Border cut with the Triple Scallop Border Die-namcis.

Well, thanks SO much for stopping by and having a wee peek at the scarpbooking page I made with this month's MFTSCRAP3 Sketch. I hope you can join us this month. This is the fantastic sketch that we have for you to use this month!

Photobucket

Well, I am 3 for 3...and I'm loving the monthly MFT Scrap Sketch Challenge, aren't you!? I'm hoping to join in with each and every MFT Scrap Sketch so I'm making that an early resolution :)

Well, the subject of this 12X12 page is a new little fella who has joined our family. This is our new Siamese kitten, Kato. He is absolutely precious and we are thoroughly enjoying him. We just LOVE watching all the funny things he does and now that our older cat, Liam, has gotten over the shock of having a new four legged creature in our house there is less anxiety and hissing all around. I'm so glad they are friends now and it's so sweet watching them cuddle and play. Kato is growing so fast and getting so big...I just want him to stay a wee kitten. Well, I thought I better scrapbook some kitten pics. Chris managed to snap a few pics, which wasn't an easy task, since he doesn't sit still for long. These are 2 of my faves...but they still don't do his stunning sapphire blue eyes justice.

So, I used Teresa Collins Everyday Moments 12x12 papers. I thought the blues in the paper would bring out his blue eyes.  I used my Fishtail Flags and Fistail Layers STAX Die-namics to extend the length of the fishtail. I used a great tip in this video tutorial by Joanne B. on how to lengthen the Mix and Match Banner Die-namics. I used the same trick here to extend the Fishtail flags and Fishtail Layers STAX Die-namics.

Photobucket

I used the High-Rise Alphabet Uppercase Die-namics cut from Nightshift Blue Heavyweight card stock for the tittle. I also used the Insert It -3x4 Insert Die-namics and cut Whip Cream Heavyweight Card Stock I stamped a sweet sentiment from the Clearly Sentimental about Pets Stamp set. I also used the NEW Document It - Captured Memories Stamp set and stamp the "Captured" and "Taken By" stamps on Whip Cream Heavyweight Card Stock. I cut them out with the oval Sentiment Strip from the Sentiments Strips Die-namics. I used Joanne's "cut and re-cut technique" HERE to shorten the oval sentiment strip to fit the size of the stamp. I stamped "Week# 9" using the Journal It - Calendar Basics Stamp set.  I also cut the sweet Pet Charms Die-namics and tied them with some Hemp Cord....I used the paw print and Fish bones charms...cut form Natural Heavyweight Card Stock and Nightshift Heavyweight Card Stock. I also cut the File Tab Die-namics from Whip Cream Heavyweight Card Stock and stamped the sentiment...Favorite Photo from the NEW Document It - Captured Memories Stamp set.

Photobucket

Here you can see the NEW Looped Border Die-namics cut from Nightshift Blue Heavyweight Card Stock....LOVE the NEW Looped Border Die-namics.

Well, thanks for stopping by and havin' a wee peek at my MFTSCRAP3 Sketch page of our precious kitten, Kato. Please take a moment to visit Kim's blog for links to all the MFT Designers with Scrapbooking pages using this month's fabulous MFT Scrap Sketch! I hope you can join us this month! He is such a sweet little boy and we are having SO much fun with him around the house and our other cat Liam is taken with him now too.  Well, Kato is definitely making this the "Purrfect Christmas" at the Godfrey house!

I inked up the super cute Pure Innocence Purrfect Stamp set for my special Christmas card. I used MFT Nightshift, Sno Cone and Paver Red Heavyweight Card Stock for the matting and papers from a 6x6 paper Pad called Sweater Weather. I also added some pretty Sno Cone Grosgrain ribbon tied with a Paver Red Button with Hemp Cord.  I cut a tag from Natural Heavyweight Card Stock and tied it to the bow...I cut out the letters for Kato's name from Paver Red with the Accent it -Story Starters and Calendar Components Die-namics

Photobucket

I hope you aren't getting sick of all my Christmas cards because here is yet one more for the pile. My daughter, Hannah, was singing this song...Mele Kalikimaka...around the house the other day and that got me thinking that my little Pure Innocence Hula Girl would make for a cute tropical Christmas card!

I made my card base 6x6 and used my fave...BasicGrey Aspen Frost 6x6 papers...I'm in total paper LOVE!!! I have 3 pads of it so I hope you don't mind seeing it again! I coloured the PI Hula Girl with my Copics and paper pieced her tankini, cut her out and popped her up on the panel cut with my Rectangle STAX Die-namics. I pulled out one of my all time favourite flower Die-namics...the Hibiscus Die-namics and cut several flowers from Wild Cherry and Paver Red Heavyweight card stock I also cut the leaves form the Poinsettia Die-namics to add a little festive style...the leaves are cut from Sno Cone, Jellybean Green and Sour Apple Heavyweight card stock. I added the little stamens from the Poinsettia Die-namics and then layered over the center of the flower from the Hibiscus Die-namics. I then added some clear bling. I omitted the tag from the sketch...after I added all my flowers there wasn't a spot for a tag...ooppps!
