Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge #8...Touchy Feely...Thumbs up for Lola Da Vinci!!!!

Hello Krafty friends! I am back with another challenge and another preview for the December release of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! This week one of our lovely and talented Krafty Artists, Crissy Armstrong, has set the challenge and I guess she is just a touchy feely kinda girl, smile! She would like us to vary the texture in our creations this week, hence the touchy feely part, smile! So, get out your embossing folders and distressing tool, your metal accents and fuzzy fibers and get krafting, smile!
For my card I picked the fabulously Krafty, Lola Da Vinci....she is a budding artist in her own right and I just think she is so super cute in her painter overalls! Lola is from the Moonlight Whispers collection and she comes with an accessory stamp. I coloured Lola with my Copics and cut the image out with my Nesties. I left the image in the Nestie to use it as a stencil and inked with Distress Inks.
I made my cardbase 6x6 from blue Bazzill Bling cardstock and used BG Lime Ricky 6x6 pp and brads. I cut the scalloped border with my QK 4x4 border die and Embossed them with QK Goosebumpz. I added some flowers with BG brads and cut the tag from a 2x2 QK die, then stamped the sentiment and embossed it with American Crafts white Zing embossing powder. This Sentiment is from the new Kimmie's Fun Phrases Sentiment set that will be released tomorrow!
Here is the inside...this sentiment is from Kimmie's Everyday sentiment set.
Well, Thanks for stopping by and having another wee peek! I hope you can join us for this fun challenge that we have this week at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge blog!
Make sure to come back tomorrow as we are having our Krafty Blog Hop and it all starts at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge Blog tomorrow!!!

BasicGrey Challenges # 31...Paper Piecing....Sorry!!!

Hey! Hope you are all well and had a productive week! I am sure you are happy to see the weekend though! Well, I know I'm ready for the weekend and a crafty challenge! How about you?! Well, you are in luck because we have another great challenge for you at BasicGrey Challenges! One that is an all time favourite of many of us! This week we would like you to try your hand at paper piecing!!!! Remember to use at least one BasicGrey product on your creation and to have FUN!!!!! The having FUN part is mandatory, lol!!!

For my card this week I made a 4.5X6 cardbase from Bazzill basics cardstock and used 6x6 pad of BG pp Eva and Lilykate! The colours combo was inspired by the yummy ribbon that I got at Micheals on sale this week... just love this plaid and the colours! So, I stamped Tilda on Prism Simply Smooth cardstock and coloured her hair, skin and tag with my Copics and then I stamped her again on the Eva floral patterned paper and cut out the parts for her dress and hair bow and then stamped her again on the purple pp from Eva and cut out her socks!

Well, After all that cutting I realized...well, actually I have known for a while now that I need new pair of micro tip scissors! I did look around the shops to see if I could find this Fiskars Scissor sharpener but no luck! So I bought a new pair EK Success Honey Bee scissors with my coupon a t Michelas! I have heard good things about these scissors so I am looking forward to putting them to work!!!

I added a few Prima flowers, dollar store paper roses, a some Qk swirls and flourishes and lots of Stickles for a little extra bling! The sentiment is from All That Scraps and is the CC Designs Sugarplum Sentiments set!

So, there you have it! I hope you have time to play along with us this week at BasicGrey Challenges!!! Also, be sure to go to the BasicGrey Challenges blog and visit all the BG DT ladies! Their cards are just outstanding and sure to inspire you to join us!!!

Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek!!!

Colour Create #11 and Friday Sketchers # 47...Time Flutters by!!!

I am having fun with all this extra crafting time this long weekend!!! Really I should do some cleaning and all but making cards is sooo much more fun!

I was so inspired by my blogging bud Tab's colour combo for Colour Create Challenge and all the beautiful cards by the DT that I couldn't resist making a card and playing along! I also used this week's FS sketch #47 for this card too!!! It is a really nice sketch and everything just fell into place...loved it!!!

When I saw the colour combo I went digging in my stash for this button embossed paper that I have had forever...I mean it is probably 7 or 8 years old. Now that is some old stash!!! It is really pretty paper but I just never knew what to do with it until today! I did a lot of distressing and inking on this card and I stamped the stitching with my Kelly Panacci Stitches acrylic stamps with Vintage Photo Distress ink!
I crackled painted this Technique Tuesday FUNdamentals chipboard butterfly with Tim Holtz Picket Fence white Crackle Paint and then distressed it with Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress inks. Then I used Metallic Rub-on and Shimmerized it! It was hard to get a good photo of it...it actually looks good IRL! There are lots of fine little cracks in it....so happy with it!!!
Thanks for stopping by I think I am going to go tidy and do up so loads of clothes...I have been totally consumed with stamping and cardmaking this weekend that I really should do something a little more productive, smile!!

Yum, Yum, Yum-Oooo!!!! The BasicGrey Challenge this week is right up my alley....it involves chocolate...and, oh, how, I lOVE chocolate!!!! Well, that is our inspiration for this week's challenge!
So, what is your fave chocolaty confection!? Is it orange and chocolate, chocolate mint, chocolate mocha, Chocolate camels or all of the above, like me, he he he!!! Well, just pick your colour combo inspired by your favourite chocolaty goodness and make a card! Oh, don't forget to use at least one product from BasicGrey!!!!
So, I'm not actually sure this chocolate confection exist but I would like it to! I made my card inspired by Chocolate Noir and Raspberry Cream truffles.....YUM-OOOOO!!! I like milk chocolate most times but every once in while I can really go for a dark chocolate sugar high, lol! How perfect is BG Bittersweet for this scrumptious colour combo!?

I made my cardbase 6x6 from Bazzill Dotted Swiss white cardstock and cut some frame shapes on my Silhouette from two of the BG papers. I stamped Melinda on Prism Simply Smooth white cardstock (loving this new paper with my Copics) and coloured her with my Copics and cut her out. It is my first time leaving a bit of a border around an image and I really like how it looks...perfect for this card!

The tag is from a sundress I bought for my daughter, Hannah! I like to keep cool clothing tags and use them on my cards and scrapbooking pages! I thought this funky tag would look good on this card! I just love the font and the sentiment...it's rather fun and a bit cheeky...I think anyways, lol!! I wanted to print an inside sentiment that said "Luv a little" but my printer is on the blink and I think it's bit the dust actually!!! So, I will have to do that when I get a new printer!

To finish it off I added a few QK flourishes, American Crafts ribbon, some yummy Prima flowers and lots of Stickles!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wee nibble go check out the yummy cards that the other BG DT have whipped up...they're all just so crazy delicious!!!!
Hugs,
