So, for my card today I used the great sketch that they have at Sketch Saturday challenge this week and I thought I would use this Sweet Kiki Lu Rue stamp from C.C. Designs....I love Kiki and I was so glad to finally ink her up. I coloured her with my Copics and cut the image out with my Oval Nesties and inked with Antique Linen and Scattered Straw Distress ink. I also added Glossy Accents to her ice cream cone. I added some lace trim and crinkled seam binding and a BG button. The paper is my new Jillibean Soup Blossom Soup 6x6 paper pad and then I added a few half pearls here and there. The sentiment is from the Melissa Frances Little Girl rub-on sheet.

Well, thanks so much for popping by and having a wee peek at my Simon Says Stamp challenge card this week! I hope you can swing by and take a peek at the gorgeous cards the other Simon Says DT have made this week too...they are all so gorgeous...sure to inspire you to join us!

Have a stampin' great day!

Sketch Saturday # 71...Ooh La la...it's Kiki La Rue!

Hey! It's me again! WOWZERS!!! Two posts in one day...that never happens for me! Just wanted to share this card I made this morning for one of my bestest girlfriends who has a B-day coming up real soon! I don't know about you, but I think the best B-day gift one could get, is just kickin' back and relaxing, with a cuppa and not a care in the world....oh and maybe a trip to the spa for a massage, smile!

So, I decided to use the, oh so sweet, Kiki La Rue...OMGosh, I love her name and she is just a cutie patootie! She is a C.C. Designs stamp that I bought at Scrappin' Great Deals when I went to Sheila's fabulous store for the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps launch party!

I followed the great sketch that is over at Sketch Saturday this week...I just flipped to fit with my image!!!

I was drawn to these yum-o papers in the Indian Summer 6x6 paper pad and used Bazzill Basics Cardstock from my stash! I am so thrilled that I can use some the Bazzill cardstock that is in my Monochromatic sets that I don't normally use as they go so nicely with Indian Summer! I stamped Kiki on ATS Copic Quality paper and coloured her with my Copics and shimmerized her. I also took my blue Sakura Stardust pen and just gave her a little sparkle in her eye! I cut her out with my rectangle Nesties and pop-dotted the image!

Here you can see her sparkle and shimmer with Angle Wings Shimmerz...I shimmerized the Caboodle Prima Flowers that I also bought at Scrappin' Great Deals....love 'em! Ribbon is American Crafts and a bit of bling to finish it off! The sentiment is from a MFT set!

here is the inside "kick back and relax" is a MFT sentiment and Happy Birthday is from the Kimmie's Everyday Sentiments set!
Hubby has the turkey in the oven and the aroma is starting to waft through the house and it smells yum-o!!!! Can't wait to dig in, smile!
Well, thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek!

Friday Sketchers # 68.....two cards for Friends!!!

Well, I have been busy making cards this weekend but I'm starting to feel a bit guilty as I have done nothing else and my house is a total disaster. There are still remnants of all the camping trips we've been on this summer, scattered around the house. I will spend tomorrow giving the house a good cleaning and try to get all the camping gear away. Hubby has already started the laundry so I will finish it up! Then we should be all set for back to school on Tuesday!
Well, I made two cards today with the great sketch they have this week over at the Friday Sketchers Challenge blog! This first card I made for my good friend and co-worker, Lynda! I will pop it in the mail on Tuesday for her. She just found out that she has cancer and we are all very shocked! She had surgery on Tuesday and will need another surgery and chemo! I just wanted to send her a little note that I am thinking of her and here for her! Lynda is a real fan of my cards and buys a lot of them to support the organization we work for, so I know she will like this one!
I made the cardbase 6x6 from White Swiss Dots Bazzill cardstock and used BG Lemonade...sorry if you are getting sick of BG Lemonade but I can't get enough of it...love it! So I stamped my new Swiss Pixies stamps, Heidi among the flowers, on ATS Copic paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her in with my Copic markers. I used another round label from The Shabby Shoppe, added American Crafts ribbon, Primas and some bling here and there. I shimmerized Heidi and the Primas too.

Here is the inside sentiment!

For my second card I turned the sketch on it's side...again, I used White Swiss Dot Bazzill Cardstock and BG Lemonade but I made it a bit smaller. I only have a few 6x6 envelopes left and I find it hard get them. This card fits into a 5.5X5.5 envelope that I get at Micheals. I cut Lisel out with my Nesties and used the out of the box Technique.

I piled on the small Prima flowers in Leisel's wheelbarrow and added lots of Stardust Stickles here and there. The sentiment is from an Amy R Thank You sentiment set from ATS.

I printed the inside sentiment on my computer. This card is for my Auntie Diane...she popped by my work the other day to say "Hi" and I just wanted to let her know that it was nice to see her!

Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek!

Surfer Emma Sending you Sunshine...Friday Sketchers # 62!

Just a quick post this morning and then we are off on another camping trip! Hopefully there will be some sunshine and some good times at the beach!!! I picked this paper and this image a few weeks ago and never got around to making the card so I played around with it last night to get me all primed for the beach, but just so you know there will be no surfing for me,lol! I'm just looking forward to reading and wiggling my toes in the sand! Isn't Surfer Emma just so darn cute? Gotta love these beachy C.C. Designs stamps! I needed a sketch to work with, so I stated with a great sketch at Friday Sketchers by Jacque from last week! I flipped it around and well deviated a bit from it but that is why I love sketches they get your own creative juices flowing!

I stamped Emma on Prism Simply Smooth white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with my Copics. I cut her out with my rectangle Nesties and embossed too! I matted the image on pink Bazzill Bling cardstock.

The cardbase is 6x6 yellow Bazzill Bling cardstock and the yummy paper is American Crafts that I've been hording forever. I used some American Crafts ribbon, as always and a few primas to finish it off! The sentiment and birds are from a My Favourite Things stamp set.

well, there you have it...I hope you all have a great week and thanks for stopping by and having a wee look-see!

Kim & Tara Challenge # 7....Happy Summer...Sweetie!!!

Well, I'm back as promised with this months Kim & Tara Monthly Challenge...this challenge between me and my good stampin' pal Kim, from Kraftin' Kimmie's Korner, is so much fun! I love that we have a bit of twist to our challenge too! You know the drill by now though, right?! One of us sends the patterned paper and the other sends the image and neither of us knows what we are getting until it arrives! It is just a big ol' surpirse and who doesn't love a surprise, smile!

Well, isn't this C.C. Designs Swiss Pixie, Heidi, just the cutest wee thing? Gosh, I just love her and her Pixie friend Gretel too! When I got these images from Kimmie I was sooooo thrilled and I sent Kim this great K&Co. Citronella paper and I think they are a great match!

For my card I used a 6x6 cardbase of red Bazzill Bling and I matted the circles paper in pink Bazzill cardstock. I cut the cloud paper with my flower Nestie as I thought it would double for a cloud and I matted it in blue Prism cardstock. I cut out a few of the clouds from the pp and pop dotted them over the clouds in the pp and added one for Heidi to float on. I love pp with words on it and this gold foil word paper has lots of great summery words and sayings on it.

To finish it off I added some yummy American Crafts ribbon and The C.C. Designs Sugar Plum sentiment is stamped on a Nestie tag with VersaMark ink and embossed with white American Craft Zing embossing powder...my new fave thing!!!! I pop-dotted it too and added a MM heart brad!

Here is the inside...I basically used the same layout as the front. I added the white cardstock so I can add a little personal note to the card. This inside sentiment is by Studio G and I embossed it with the Zing embossing powder too.

So I am pretty happy with how this card turned out, I am just not that crazy about the dark blue Stickles on Heidi's wings. I should have stuck with my tried and true Crystal Stickles!

Well, there you have it another card! I had a blast with this K&T challenge! Now, I haven't even had a sneak peek of Kimmie's card this time, so I am going to hop on over to her blog now and see what cute creation she has come up with!!! I just know it is going to be super fabulous! Now, you make sure you head on over there too!

Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek of this sweet wee Swiss Pixie and of my K&T Challenge card!
