Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge # 8....Music....A friend...!

Good morning Krafty galz! I have a quick post this morning to share a card that I made for the challenge over at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge blog. This week the challenge is MUSIC...love my tunes, love this challenge and I'm totally loving Kenny K digi stamps!!! The Glam Gang images are my fave and are so much fun to colour!

Well, for my card I just had to colour up this cutie, Rock Chick! Did you know that I was totally a Rocker/Heavy Metal chick in High School...OMGosh these images are bringing back memories, lol!
Well, back to the card...I used some MME papers and teamed it up with some AC cardstock and some Prima flowers with "metal" Making Memories flower brads in the centers. I had to add some ribbon and bling too...I just can't seem to make a card without it,smile! I coloured up Rock Chick with my Copics and cut her out with my Nesties and inked with Spun Sugar Distress ink. I left the image in the die and used it as a stencil! Oh and I found a really great little tip (I can't remember where I saw it...sorry...EDITED I found the link to the YouTube Video here) for cutting a small mat for your image. I use my Finger Grip craft Knife and cut going around the outside of the die! This is much better than how I was doing it before just tracing the outer edge and then cutting with the scissors.

Here is the inside....I thought this C.C. Designs sentiment was perfect for this card!
Well, Thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card!
Have a Rockin' day!

Just Magnolia #59...Mina's Sketch....Thank You!

Just a quickie post this morning to share the card I made with Mina's beautiful sketch over at Just Magnolia Challenge this week! I made an easel card and used MME Totally Girl papers. I thought I would use this sweet Tilda from the Easter collection. I love her to bits as she is so pretty. Thought I could get extra use out of her by covering the eggs in her lap with flower soft. I tried making my own paper flower with my flower punch that I see all the ladies, out there in blogland, using but I am not that happy with it...need to brush up on my paper flower making.
Sentiments are C.C. Designs buttons are Making Memories and I used Bundled Sage Distress ink for the inking.
Thanks so much for stopping by and having a peek!
Have a stampin' great day!

New BasicGrey Challenges # 22...A Colour Combo...Sunshiney Days!

Good Morning! I'm glad that we are back with another BasicGrey Challenge for you all to play along with! Heather has a selected a beautiful colour combo for us this challenge! I really enjoyed using it....turquoise, brown and cream!!!It was the perfect colour combo for my new Max & Whiskers BG paper too and I was anxious to crack open this paper, smile!

We also have a fabulous and generous $25 voucher prize by our one and only sponsor Simon Says Stamp...just so happens to be where I got my fab new Max and Whiskers paper that I used on this card, smile!

For my card I also used this sweet little guy from Belles n' Whistles that I coloured with my Copcis and cut out. I just love his goggles...this image reminds me of a layout I did of Kieran when he was wee, wearing goggles. He wasn't even swimming he just decided that he wanted to wear them....too funny! I used my new big Scalloped circle die and Catslife Press stamp. The sentiment is from C.C. Designs and it's stamped on a QuicKutz tag and attached with a BG Lemonade Glazed brad. I added some printed twill and bling for good measure!

Here is the inside...another C.C. Designs sentiment.
Well, I really hope you can join us and maybe swing by the BG Challenges blog and have a look at the gorgeous creations by the BG DT...sure to inspire!

High Hopes Challenge # 24 and Copic Colour Challenge # 6...A Hello from Me!

Oh, I wanted to show you this card that I made for the High Hopes challenge # 24 and Copic Colour Challenge #6. This is my first time joining in the High Hopes Challenge and I'm also sooooo excited to show you my fantastic new watermark made by BG challenges boss (smile), the super sweet and endlessly talented, Martine! She whipped this up for me today!!!! Now that is service, smile!!!! Thanks Martine!!!! I absolutely love it!!!!
I received these adorable High Hopes images from by blogging buddy and BG DT team member, Chris Dark! She sent me a stunning birthday card and RAK and it included a ton of fabulous images and several HH images. Chris noticed that I don't own any HH stamps! I know you are shocked and dismayed!!! I am too, considering they are a fabulous Canadian stamp Company! Well, I am on a stash diet at the mo, although I have fallen of the wagon a bit but I dusted myself off and go right back on now but as soon as it is over, I will definitely be making an order!
So, I coloured up, Lil' Show Girl and Show Horse, with my Copics using the colours from this week's Copic Colour Challenge! Blush R20, Brick Beige E31 and Shock Pink RV04 and I also used Tender Pink RV13, Dull Ivory E43, Chamois E35, Milky White E51, Eggshell E50 Skin White E 00, C-1 and C-3 Cool Grey. I also, used my new clear Spica pen that I got in my goodie bag at the Copic Certification class! The Spica pen is fabulous and actually has minuscule fragments of glass in it! That is what makes it twinkle!!!!
The Challenge over at the HH Challenge blog is set by the fabulous and talented Ila and is Creative Borders! So I used my new EK Success Scalloped Scallops and I embossed two lines with my Score-Pal and added the pink velvet RicRac American Craft ribbon!
I used BasicGrey Porcelain 6x6 paper pad, Bazzill Bling cardstock and Prism Kraft cardstock. I cut the HH Show Horse with my label Nesties and the tag too and the sentiment is a CC Designs Sugarplum sentiment set.
Thanks for stopping by and having a wee look!
Hugs,
