Hello Stampin' friends. It's Wednesday and that means that it's time for the My Favorite Things Stamps, Wednesday Stamp Club! We have a fun sketch this week...yeah, I know, I say that every week, but it's true! We love seeing you creations every week and it couldn't be easier to join us, just make a card with the sketch and share it with us by uploading it to SCS using the proper keyword, MFTWSC117 by Tuesday, April 2nd at noon EST, for your chance at our weekly prize! The lucky winner will receive a $15 gift voucher and if the winner uses MFT stamps, they will receive $5 in bonus bucks, for a total of $20!

Here is the great sketch that we have this week!
(I flipped the sketch around for my card)

I was in need of a special birthday card for one of my dearest friends and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the super sweet Doodle Garden - Party Time stamp set and thought she would be perfect for this card! So, I inked her up and coloured her with my Copics. On a side note, have you seen the MFT Academy - Colouring Hair with Copic Markers by MFT Prof. Michele?! Well, it is fabulous and so I decided to take some extra time and care colouring this DG Party Time girl and really tried to apply Michele's helpful tips and techniques on colouring the DG Party Time girl's hair. These Doodle Garden Stamps are perfect for practicing your hair colouring technique.  You can check out the MFT Academy Colouring Hair with Copic Markers tutorial by Michele HERE...it is very informative and SO worth the read!!!

I also bought some new BasicGrey 6x6 paper pads...like I need another 6x6 pad but I'm in LOVE the new collections...I cracked open this Hey Girl 6x6 pad....SO pretty! I thought the pattern with the numbers worked so well with the sentiment from the DG Party Time Stamp set. I matted with MFT Replenishments Heavyweight Card Stock in Gumdrop Greed, Blu Raspberry and Pink Lemonade the co-ordinate perfectly with the BG Hey Girl papers! I found a BasicGrey fabric brad in my stash that coordinated with the papers too and tied a Hemp Cord bow around it. I stamped the sentiment on Whip Cream Heavyweight Card Stock with Blu Raspberry Premium Dye Ink and cut it out with the Fishtail strip from the Sentiments Strips Die-namics...this is one of my all time FAVE Die-namics.

Here is close up of my colouring of this sweet Doodle Garden - Party Time girl. I also made a layered circle panel with the Circle STAX 1 and 2 and the Dainty Doily Die-namics cut from Blu Raspberry Heavyweight Card Stock layered over a corrugated cardboard circle.

And, as always, I finished the inside. I stamped a shadow image of the Doodle Garden Party Time girl with Pink Lemonade Premium Dye Ink. I used the Dainty Doily Duo Die-namics and the Circle STAX 1 and 2 for the circle panel. I stamped another sentiment on the Fishtail Strip from the Sentiment Strips Die-namics and I stamped the "sweet friend" sentiment from the Doodle Garden - Sweet Friend Stamp set on the circle tag from the Howdy Frames Die-namics.

Well, thanks SO much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card with this week's MFTWSC117 sketch!
