Hey, fellow 'Fetti Fans! Today is the first day of the Countdown to Confetti! We are showcasing the NEW Quirky Cuties - Sammy Squirrel! I'm NUTS about this little guy...too CUTE!

I've been trying to "shop" my own extensive 6X6 paper collection instead of buying new paper. After browsing around my stash I selected this pretty Pink Paislee Indigo Bleu 6X6 paper collection to go with Sammy Squirrel!

Sammy is just SO cute and SO much fun to colour! I coloured him up with my Copics, paper pieced his bow tie, cut him out and popped him up on the panel made with the Circles 'N Scallops Confetti Cuts. I also used the Double Scallop Border Confetti Cuts. I stamped part of one of the sentiments from Sammy Squirrel Stamp set on the small tag from the Tag Me Confetti Cuts.  I stamped several cute little nuts with the accessory stamp from the Sammy Squirrel Stamp set on pattern paper, fussy cut them and popped them up here and there.

I finished the inside of the card too....I stamped a shadow image of Sammy and stamped another one of the cute sentiments that comes with Sammy on the Give Thanks Confetti Cuts!

Thanks SO much for poppin' by and havin' a little look at my card for Reverse Confetti with the NEW Sammy Squirrel Stamp set.  Please pop by again tomorrow for Day 2 of the Countdown to Confetti...release day is September 8th!!!!

Reverse Confetti...DS # 164 & August RC Color Challenge...Here We Go!

Hey stampin' friends! I'm feeling like I accomplished a ton of things today! I cleaned the kitchen, dusted, washed the floors, vacuumed and I cleaned my car! I got a new car in June and I've vowed to keep it clean and tidy ;) So, I thought I would make a card with the Reverse Confetti Here We Go Stamp set in honour of all my adventures in my new crystal red Chevrolet Equinox.

I made my card with the Reverse Confetti August colour combo...LOVE it!

And I followed the FAB sketch that they have over at the Deconstructed Sketch!

I stamped the little car from the Reverse Confettti Here We Go Stamp set and used the Circles 'n Scallops Confetti Cuts and the Doin' The Wave Confetti Cuts

 photo DS16408RCCCB_edited-1RS4_zps55a1f4ca.jpg

I cut the Tag Me Confetti Cuts banner from gold sparkly corrugated cardstock and a few hearts from the Love Note Confetti Cuts and added some AC twine and gold sparkly Gumdrops from YNS! I stamped a sentiment from the Reverse Confetti Here We Go Stamp set with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Embossing ink and used AC Zing White Embossing Powder.

So, for my card today I have used this adorable Pure Innocence stamp set from the new May release called Goldfish Girl...how sweet is she!? I thought she would look cute paired up with these pretty Pink Paislee Prairie Hill 6x6 papers. I coloured Goldfish Girl with my Copics and paper pieced her and the stand that the Goldfish bowl is on. I thought I would dot in some fish food with my Sepia Copic Multi-liner and then added a little Sakura Stardust pen for some sparkle!

I cut the image out with the fabulous new Rectangle STAX Die-namics. Love how thin the matting is when you alternate with both STAX 1 and STAX 2...really you need to get both....just sayin', smile! I have inked with Tumbled Glass Distress ink around my image by making a mask with Eclipse tape...you can see the instructions HERE.  I'm LOVIN' the new Mini Scallop Edge Die-namics from this release. I thought in keeping with the fish theme of this card I would flip the edge around to get a wavy edge and I just had to use my Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics too. The cute sentiment is from the Goldfish Girl Stamp set and I stamped it on the Oval Tab Die-namics.

Photobucket
Here is the inside of my card...I stamped the PI Goldfish Girl again with Potter's Clay memento ink and used another one of the great sentiments from this set. I stamped in on the Sweet Stack label Die-namics!

Well, thanks SO much for swimming by and havin' wee peek at my card....head on over to Kim's blog for a list of all the fabulous MFT designers with gorgeous PI creations for you today!!! See you back here tomorrow for the big day...The MFT release, including all new stamp sets and Die-namics, is tomorrow, May 1 at 10 PM EST.

Of course, as I am sitting here typing up this post I see the typo on the inside of the card...I printed out the info on the computer...not sure I would want to go scrapin'....scrappin', yes! Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge # 9, FS #118 and CCT# 128...Attitude..!

Hey Krafty friends! I hope you are enjoying Labour Day and your day off work! We were camping but the weather was just awful...rainy, damp and COLD...I was absolutely miserable sitting in the trailer...did a lot of reading to pass the time and hardly slept a wink with the rain pounding down on the roof of the trailer. Well, when I woke up yesterday morning I wasn't in a pleasant mood, to say the least and I had a splitting headache to boot...well, hubby got the picture that I wasn't a very happy camper and we packed up early and come home last night, YAY!!!
Photobucket
So, this morning I decided to get a little krafty time in and I made a card for a few of my fave challenges...I made this card for the Swirls and Pearls challenge at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz, I used the ROCKIN' sketch at Friday Sketchers by Inge...absolutely love this sketch to bits...love Inge's multi-layered cards and I am entering this card in the challenge...Material Girl to use fabric over at Cute Card Thursday.

Photobucket
I have been dying to use this fabulous Pink Paislee 6x6 paper pack that I picked up at Crop Circles in Peterbrorough and I wanted to use this sweet digi image of "All That" from Kenny K's Glam Gang collection too. I coloured her in with my Copics and used the "Out of the Box" technique and cut her out with my square Nesties and I used Old Paper Distress ink and ink the image while it was still in the die. I used some half pearls from the dollar store and QK Swirls, Prima flowers and a WOC Gardenia to embellish. For the fabric I used some white cotton lace trim and I'd kept a clothing tag that came on a pair of Hubby's new jeans as it had this fabulous piece of jean material with a snap on it...it was perfect for this card and the fabric challenge over at CCT.

Photobucket

The sentiment is a Melissa Frances rub-on and I gave it a Little sparkle with my Sakura Stardust pen and just smudge the glitter around with my finger to soften the look.

Here is the inside...sentiments are a Catslife Press label and a Melisa Frances rub-on.
