All Dressed Up Stamps...All Dressed Up # 17, CTD # 299 & Sketch Saturday # 316...Love to Shop!

 

Hey stampin' friends! I made this birthday card for my daughter, Hannah! Today she turned 15 years old and I can hardly believe it! Every year I make her a special birthday card but this year I had to pick an image that was a little more grown up, a little bit more age appropriate. Something fitting for a 15 year old...eeekkkk!!!! I LOVE the Wendy Burns - All Dressed Up girls and this image called Love to Shop was perfect for Hannah's card! I'm entering this card in 3 challenges...Color Throwdown # 299, Sketch Saturday # 316 and All Dressed Up # 17...to use your favourite All Dressed Up image.

I went looking for some colour inspiration and this CTD299 swatch was perfect...Hannah will love this colour combo!

I used MFT Replenishments Heavyweight Card Stock in Razzle Berry, Blu Raspberry and Whip Cream. 

Then I needed a sketch...they have a great sketch over at Sketch Saturday #316...and All Dressed Up just happens to be the sponsor this week with a fabulous All Dressed Up Prize! I flipped the sketch, took some liberties and added a few more layers and embellies...I just couldn't resist ;)

 

I made the cardbase 6X6 from Kraft cardstock and used BasicGrey Fresh Cut 6x6 papers and matted in MFT Replenishments Heavyweight Card Stock in Razzle Berry, Blu Raspberry and Whip Cream. I used a few more layers of papers than the sketch called for but I couldn't resist the pretty BG Fresh Cut papers. I cut the tag for the long panel with the Pierced Traditional Tags STAX and instead of a star I added a few hearts cut with the Staggered Heart Border Die-namics cut from some sparkly cardstock.

 

I printed the sweet All Dressed Up - Love to Shop Digi image and coloured it up with my Copics, cut the image out with the Bracket Mini Album STAX Die-namics and left the image in the die and inked with Spun Sugar and Lipstick Pink Distress ink. To embellish I added a few YNS Gumdrops and some pink AC Hemp Cord.

 

I finished the inside of the card too...I added a shadow image of one of the Love to Shop girls and stamped a sentiment from the MFT WBD Cupcake Cutie Stamp set, stamped in Blu Raspberry Premium Dye Ink on Whip Cream Heavyweight Card Stock cut out with the Pierced Fishtail Flags STAX.

My Favorite Things Stamps...Color Palette Challenge # 1...Hello!

Hello Stampin' friends! Did you see the exciting news on the MFT blog?! My Favorite Things has started a NEW monthly challenge, the Color Palette Challenge. Well, I couldn't wait to make a card with this month's color Palette...MFTCPC1!

This month we're to use the Classic MFT color palette...Pink Lemonade, 

Black Licorice and Sweet Tooth.

I made my card-base 5.5X5.5 from Black Licorice Heavyweight Card Stock and matted with MFT Pink Lemonaide and Sweet Tooth Heavyweight Card Stock. I dug through my pattern paper and found these pretty Carta Bella 6x6 Papers called Paris Girl...they were perfect!

  I inked up the sweet NEW Wendy Burns - Best Friends girl and coloured her up with my Copics. I cut the image out with my Pierced Oval STAX and matted with the OVAL STAX 1 and 2. I left the image in the Pierced Oval STAX die-namics and inked with Spun Sugar Distress ink. I also used the Monarch Border from Blueprints 5. 

I made pretty little flowers with the flower die-namics from Blueprints 3 and added Black Licorice open leaves cut with NEW Layered Leaves Die-namics. I stamped a sentiment from the WBD - Best Friends Stamp set with Pink Lemonade Premium Dye Ink on Sweet Tooth Heavyweight Card Stock cut with the tag from Blueprints 2.

Here is the inside...I used the Square STAX and Pierced Square STAX, more flowers from Blueprints 3 and used the stitched sentiment strips from Blueprints 2 cut from Pink Lemonade Heavyweight Card Stock and stamped the sentiment from the Wendy Burns Designs - Stylish Friends Stamp set in Steel Grey Premium Dye Ink.

My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 148 & BG Challenges # 107...Deck the Halls!

Hello stampin' friends! I made some time to get inky this weekend and join two of my favourite challenges...MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge and BasicGrey Challenges! They have a fabulous and fun sketch over at My Favorite Things this week and I love the challenge over at BG Challenges..."Sparkle and Glamour"! I'm still on a Christmas card making jag...here's another one for the pile.

I love this fabulous sketch that they have this week for the Wednesday Stamp Club!

I made my card-base 6X6 from Kraft cardstock and used the festive BasicGrey 25th and Pine 6x6 paper pad. The challenge over at BG Challenges is "Sparkle and Glamour" so I thought I would ink up this whimsical yet glamorous Wendy Burns Stylish Friends Stamp. I coloured up the Stylish Friends girl with my Copics and for the sparkle I used lots of silvery, sparkly corrugated cardstock.

I matted with MFT Replenishments Heavyweight Card Stock in Red Hot, Steel Blue and Sno Cone. I added a large sparkly snowflake cut with the Jumbo Snowflake Die-namics layered with the Circle STAX 1, Circle STAX 2 and Pierced Circle STAX. I also cut some snowflakes with the Let it Snow Die-namics.    

Here is a close up shot of the glamorous Wendy Burns Stylish Friends girl...I think she is SO pretty. I stamped the sentiment from Cheerful Christmas Greetings with Electric Red Premium Dye Ink. 

I finished off the inside of the card too and stamped a shadow image with the Wendy Burns Stylish Friends girl in Sno Cone Premium Dye Ink and stamped another sentiment from the fabulous Cheerful Christmas Greetings Stamp set. I added a little embellishment with another layered snowflake cut with the Let it Snow Die-namics.
