My Favorite Things Stamps...Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge & WSC # 185...Congrats

Hello stampin' friends! We just got back from our camping trip to Arrowhead Provincial Park and even though the weather wasn't great we still had a great time! It was SO good to kick back, relax and read my book (The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith A.K.A. J.K. Rowling) at the beach. Feeding the chipmunks peanuts was the main source of entertainment at our site since it was quite overcast and cool. Chris and Kieran did a little fishing and Chris spied the black bear that lives at Arrowhead...eeekkk...glad I wasn't with them for that! We also had YUMMY S'mores and Chris showed off his expertise at roasting the perfect marshmallow. Every year we plan our camping trip to Arrowhead Park around the Huntsville Midnight Madness...camping and shopping...how can you go wrong with that :D

Well, I thought I would make a card today now that I 'm back to civilization :) and they have an Anything Goes challenge over at the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge for their Anniversary...CONGRATS, Curtain Call!!! They have an AMAZING line-up of sponsors to celebrate the big day and I was SO inspired by the great inspirational photo they have this week, I had to join in! I paired the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge with the My Favorite Things Stamps - Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge # 185...MFT just so happens to be one of the FABULOUS  companies sponsoring the Curtain Call Challenge too!!!!

I took my colour combo from this pretty pic and used MFT Replenishments Heavyweight Card Stock in Whip Cream, Sno Cone, Berrylicious, Pink Lemonade, Bubblegum and a touch of Spearmint

Here is the fabulous sketch that they have this week at MFT!!!

I took a lot of inspiration for this card from the fabulous Curtain Call Inspiration photo. I made the card with MFT Replenishments Heavyweight Card Stock in Whip Cream and I stamped the Sno Cone panel with the Romantic Script Background Stamp in Steel Blue Premium Dye Ink. I made my frame with the stitched large rectangle die from Blueprints 13 and used the Rectangle STAX die-namics and ran it through the Cuttlebug again to cut out the middle and create the Pink Lemonade frame.

In the inspiration photo there is a poof of soft green hydrangeas on the desk and so I used the Gerbera Daisy Die-namics to create this pretty Spearmint flower! I cut out the Gerbera Daisy from Spearmint Heavyweight Card Stock, inked the petals with Spearmint Premium dye Ink to add a more depth of colour and popped up the layers of the flower with dimensional adhesive squares.  To add a little somthin' somthin', I picked up on the silver accents in the inspirational photo and embossed the sentiment from the LLD happy Graduation Stamp set in Silver Detail Embossing Powder. The sentiment is stamped on a tag cut with the Pierced Traditional Tag STAX cut from Whip Cream Heavyweight Card Stock and tied with AC twine. I used the circle dies that come with the Gerbera Daisy Die-namics die and cut out silver glittery dots and sprinkled them around the card.

I finished off the inside of the card too...I added a few more pretty Spearmint Gerbera Daisies and stamped a sentiment from the LJD Together Forever Stamp set in Steel Blue Premium Dye Ink.

Thanks SO much for popping by and havin' a little look at my card for the Curtain Call Inspirational Challenge - Anything Goes and the MFTWSC185!
