Good Morning! I'm glad that we are back with another BasicGrey Challenge for you all to play along with! Heather has a selected a beautiful colour combo for us this challenge! I really enjoyed using it....turquoise, brown and cream!!!It was the perfect colour combo for my new Max & Whiskers BG paper too and I was anxious to crack open this paper, smile!

We also have a fabulous and generous $25 voucher prize by our one and only sponsor Simon Says Stamp...just so happens to be where I got my fab new Max and Whiskers paper that I used on this card, smile!

For my card I also used this sweet little guy from Belles n' Whistles that I coloured with my Copcis and cut out. I just love his goggles...this image reminds me of a layout I did of Kieran when he was wee, wearing goggles. He wasn't even swimming he just decided that he wanted to wear them....too funny! I used my new big Scalloped circle die and Catslife Press stamp. The sentiment is from C.C. Designs and it's stamped on a QuicKutz tag and attached with a BG Lemonade Glazed brad. I added some printed twill and bling for good measure!

Here is the inside...another C.C. Designs sentiment.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps...Summer Stamp Kit...Preview #3!

I hope you have been enjoying the Krafty previews of the Mermaids and Miles! I know I have been! Seeing all the gorgeous creations that the Krafty Girls have been sharing with us has me itchin' to get Krafty this weekend! I think I hear Cordelia calling my name, smile! Well, Chris and Kieran are going to a a local race track called Mosport and Hannah and I will be stamping and colouring and maybe even do a little "crafty" shopping too! Make sure you hop on over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog, as, Kimmie has links to all Krafty Girls previews for the day!

Well, enough rambling...lets get to the card, already, smile! This is the very sweet, Nerrisa. Isn't she beautiful..love her to bits! Her hair is so pretty, Annie, really captured the movement and fluidity of hair under water! I coloured Nerrisa with my Copics and cut the image out with my Nesties. I used Mustard Seed, Shabby Shutters, and peeled paint to colour in the background. I wanted to create the feel of the sun penetrating down to the bottom of the ocean. I made the cardbase with AC cardstock and used K&Co. Citronella pp again! Just had small scraps left of the great paper with all the fun summer words and phrases on it so I cut a QK tag and just used it as an embellie. No sentiment on the front of this card as I ran out of real estate, lol! I added lots of Star Dust Stickles to Nerrisa to really make her sparkle!

Here is the inside...the sentiment is from the Mermaids sentiment set that comes it the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Summer Mermaid Kit that is available this Sunday, June 13th only at the Kraftin' Kimmie on-line shop!!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 32...Triangles...Sparkle!

Happy Saturday Krafty friends! Time for another fun KKS Challenge this week Krafty Girl Nana Diana has set the challenge and she would like to see triangles...yup triangles - isosceles, acute, obtuse, whatever you like, just use triangles on your card! Diana has used Bart from the Moonlight Whispers collection so if you join us and use a KKS stamp on your creation then you will be entered into the random draw for cute Bartholomew the Bard!

So I had to put my thinking cap on for this one! So, I did a little search and found a great tutorial by Jeannette for a Criss-Cross pocket card on the WOJ Inspiration and Tutorial blog! It was actually really easy to make even though it looks like it would be difficult and I'm really happy with how this turned out. I used K&Co. Wild Raspberry 8x8 papers and Kraft cardstock. The adorable image is the new Perfect Poison stamp from the Moonlight Whispers Collection by Annie Rodrigue. To embellish I used some ribbon and Prima flowers and BG brads. The Bottoms up sentiment is one of two that comes with Perfect Poison as well as two accessory stamps. "For you" is from Kimmie's Everyday Sentiments and Sparkle is from Kimmie's Holiday Sentiments.

I found this Copy Cat recipe for Milestone's Peach Bellinis...my fave! I think I'm going to give this to my friend Dana...we are in need of a Milesone's Bellini soon I think, smile!
Well, I hope you can join us and I hope you can stop by the KKS Challenge blog and see all the beautiful creations by the Krafty Girls!
Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card!

Whiff of Joy # 80...A sketch by Donalda with a twist!

Good morning Friends! It is time for another challenge over at the Whiff of Joy Challenge blog! The sweet Donalda has designed a gorgeous sketch for us to use with the added twist of "lots of flowers" in honour of our wonderful sponsor Wild Orchid Crafts! Just remember you must use a WOJ stamp on your creation!

For my card I used this sweet image from the WOJ Get Well Collection called Little Nurse. I coloured my image with Copics and cut it out with my Nesties. I left the image in the die and inked with Tumbled Glass Distress ink. I made the card 6x6 from American Crafts cardstock and used Chatterbox papers.

To embellish I used lots of Prima flowers and roses and a sprinkling of pearls. Sentiments are Melissa Frances rub-ons and a Catslife Press stamp.
Here is the inside....this sentiment is by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.
I hope you can join us this week and I hope you hop on over to the WOJ Challenge blog and take a look at all the gorgeous creations by the DT!
