Hello fellow 'Fetti Fans! It's the start of a new month and frankly I'm glad to see January come to end. I spent most of January quite sick and I'm just starting to feel like my old self...except for the annoying cough that is hangin' around.

Well, we have a fabulous NEW Sketch For You To Try over at Reverse Confetti and it's a fun one, as always! We would love to see your RC creations with the SFYTT # 21 sketch, link up your project over on the Reverse Confetti blog in the link-Up and one lucky winner will receive a $20 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti Shop.

Here is the great February Sketch and all the challenge details are on the Reverse Confetti Blog -SFYTT #21.

I adore the NEW Reverse Confetti Love Blooms Stamp set and Love Blooms coordinating Confetti Cuts.... just can't get enough of this new set so I had to use it again. The large rounded rectangle from the Documented Confetti Cuts is fabulous too...I pulled out an embossing folder that I haven't used in ages to add a little texture to the panel. The little fishtail flag is from the Documented Confetti Cuts I just trimmed off the one end and I added a heart from the Heart to Heart Confetti Cuts.

I stamped a sentiment from the Love Blooms Stamp set (LOVE the scripty font) and stamped it on Primitive White Card Stock cut with the Tag Me Confetti Cuts. I also cut the Love Blooms Confetti Cuts from Primitive White Card Stock and stamped the solid flower in Paver Red Premium Dye Ink and then Stamped the line art flower in Steel Grey Premium Dye Ink...I really like how this looks...and of course I stamped the cute leaves from the set too.

I finished off the inside too...I kept it pretty simple...I added another embossed panel but wanted to have more room to write a personal message inside the card so I used the smaller rounded rectangle from the Class Act Confetti Cuts and I stamped the sentiment from the Roundabouts Additions

Thanks SO much for stopping by and havin' a little peek at my card with this month's Sketch For You To Try # 21. I hope you can make some time to make a Reverse Confetti card and join us for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti Shop. Head on over to the Reverse Confetti blog to see all the wonderful inspiration from the Confetti Crew!!!

Dottie's World Sunday Challenge....For a Teen by Adele...Happy Birthday ~16 Totally a Teen!!! & Some Sad News!!!

Well, yesterday was a busy day and today will be too! I helped Chris build a shed in the backyard from a kit that he got at Costco. It was actually kinda fun...Shhhh...don't tell him I said that or I will have to help him out like that more often, smile! I was actually pretty good at following the directions and visualizing how it was suppose to go together from the pics in the instruction manual...kinda proud of myself!!! It was a beautiful day to be outside and I even got a little sun...I didn't think to put any sun screen on so I am a little burnt. I also tried to get around and say "hi" but my computer (or blogger) wasn't cooperating...not sure what's up with that...eeekk! Hope it isn't my computer! Kieran has his First Communion so another busy day today!!!!

Now for the sad news....I unfortunately had to let Louise and Karen know that I was steeping down from Dottie's World Sunday Challenge...I was really sad to have to do that as I do love the Holly & Madison images soooo and Mikey is such a cutie!!! I have been having printer issues (so I need a new one soon when the budget allows) and it is a laser jet printer which means the ink is not compatible with my Copics! This has been the major issue for me!!! I have been spraying my images with a fixative and the fumes are killing me...not to mention all the stress of my printer working on and off!!! So, this is, very sadly, my last DT card for Dottie's World..sniffle, sniffle! Karen, Louise and all the ladies at DW Sunday Challenge have been just fabulous to work with and I will miss them and the fun chit chat at the DW DT Forum!

This week's challenge was set by Adele and it was great fun! I really enjoyed making this card!!!! I used this fabby new American Crafts Teen paper collection. The cardbase is 6X6, cut from some Black Bazzill Basics cardstock! I was yackin' on the phone with my mum when I was making this card and I was rummaging around on my desk and saw this fancy label that I'd cut on my Silhouette months ago! It was a perfect fit for Madison and I was so happy with how it looks on this card. I ran the black piece through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder and did the same to the number 16 and the QK photo corner! the ribbon is American Crafts too!!!

I printed Madison on Prism Simply Smooth White cardstock and coloured her with my Copics! I sponged around her with some pink Metallic Rub-Ons to give her a bit of a pink glow and It doesn't show in the pic but I used my Sakura Glaze pen and added some gloss to her lips and went over the cord, ipod and her bracelet! It looks fab IRL!!!

Well, that is a very sad post for me!!!! I will really miss the Dottie's World Sunday Challenge DT they are just the kindest ladies!!! I have to tell you my 9 year old daughter, Hannah, is totally bummed out too! She just adores Holly and Madison, so there are two very long faces here at the Godfrey household!!!!

So, a big, big thank you hug to Louise, Karen, Juliet, Adele, Nicola, Kat and Vanessa for making my very short time on DW so much fun!!!! Go check out their fab DT cards!!!

Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek! Hope you have a great day!!!!

Dottie's World Sunday Challenge...Hand Made by Nicola...You Made My Day!

Happy Easter everyone! I just quietly snuck down here to type up my Dottie's world Sunday Challenge post, as my kidos are still in bed! I managed to eat all the chocolates that the Easter Bunny put around my computer...I think it is safe to say he left them for me...well, I hope so, lol! I will ask him when he wakes up, smerk!!!

For this week's challenge Nicola set a tough one, for me anyways, and I am not totally happy with this card but it is starting to grow on me! I cut my cardbase 4.5X6 from some Bazzill Basics cardstock and embossed it with my Cuttlebug folder and embossed some lines to frame the embossing with my Socr-Pal. To make the embossing stand out a little more I add a touch Metallic Rub-ons here and there!

I printed Madison in Asia on Georgia Pacific cardstock and coloured her with my Copics and add lots of Stickles! I cut the image with my Curvy Rectangles Nesties and embossed it too and again went around the image with more Metallic Rub-ons. Then I cut a few QK 2X2 flowers and sprinkled them around and add some American Crafts ribbon from my stash and the sentiment is from My Favourite things.

Well, I better go see if any one wants to hunt for chocolate eggs before I eat them all, he, he, he!!!

Hope you have a beautiful Easter Sunday with family and maybe after your big Easter dinner you can squeak in some crafty time!!!!

Sketch Saturday # 29....Baby's First Christmas!

Just a quick post tonight to share this card that I made for a work colleague who is off on maternity leave. I have been meaning to send her a card to congratulate her on the birth of her first baby, a little boy! Well, unfortunately, I kinda got sidetracked with all the Christmas cards that I have been making for everyone at work. Then I got this idea for her card to combine the baby and Christmas card into one!!! I'm really happy with how it turned out!!!

I used this week's sketch #29 from Sketch Saturday Challenge blog. It's such a great sketch and it was a nice change from the same format that I have been using on all my Christmas cards but it also fit in nicely with the overall layout that I have been using and meant that I could still use the papers that I had all pre-cut!

I think Alvin looks so sweet sitting on the Christmas Ornament!

I stamped the Christmas ornament on Georgia Pacific paper with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured it with my Copics and Twinkling H2O's. I cut the image with my square Nesties and embossed it. Then I distressed around the image and the edges with my Metallic rub-ons and chestnut roan ink. I stamped Alvin on Georgia pacific paper with my Memento ink and coloured him with my Copics too. I added some white highlights with a Gel pen and acrylic paint. Then I cut him out and pop-dotted on the ornament and added lots of Stickles for a little sparkle!!!

In keeping with all my Christmas cards this year I used the BasicGrey Wassail pp, and American Craft shimmery ribbon. I added the BG buttons and tied hemp twine through them. I had to deviate from the sketch a wee bit and move the buttons over slightly as Alvin's head was in the road, he he he!

Well, there you have it!!! Thanks for stopping by and having a wee look-see!

BG Challenges # 12.....Ho Ho Ho...Hurry Charlotte! Santa is here!!!!!

Well, I finally made a card for the BG challenges # 12....embossing! I have been using my Cuttlebug embossing folders on all my Christmas cards this year so this was the perfect challenge for me!!! This is # 15 out the 40 cards that I have to make. Somehow this list just keeps getting longer and longer, smile! I hope I can get them all made in time!!!

Well, isn't Charlotte trimming the tree just the cutest image!?I loved colouring it and I am so glad that I decided to use these WOJ stamps on my cards this year!!! They are just so sweet! I coloured this image with my Copics and Twinkling H20s. I added white highlights with acrylic paint and lots of Stickles for some bling!!!

In my blog hopping travels I came across a really great idea for the Qk Goosebumpz dies. Now I can't remember for the life of me, who's fabulous blog it was that I saw this on. Soooo sorry!!! I have several of the Qk embossing dies but I don't really use them that often, so, when I saw this brilliant idea, I knew I had to give it a go!!!! So, I embossed here and there around the edges of the main image and rubbed gold metallic rub-ons over the embossing to make it stand out a little more!!! I think it looks like Charlotte has left trimming the tree to the last minute and Santa is announcing his arrival!!!!

To finish the card off I added some American Craft ribbon and I used the new Star Ribbon slider die. It's one of the Christmas QK 1$ Cookie Cutter dies.

Well, there you have it!

Thanks for stopping by and having a wee look!
