Magnolia Down Under Challenge #70....Edwin is Spooky Cute!

Photobucket

Happy Halloween, crafty friends!!!!! I am back with a card that I made for the new challenge that we have this week over at Magnolia Down Under Challenges! This week we want to see your Halloween inspired creations...you can use a Magnolia Halloween image or use Halloween colours like, orange, black and purple or maybe a card with candy on it!

Photobucket

For my card I decided to use this cute stamp, Dracula Edwin from last years So Spooky collection and I coloured him with my Copics! It was good to ink up one of my Edwin stamps as I tend to stick with Tilda for most of my cards! I was also, so happy, to finally get to use my Silhouette Digital Die Cutter!!! It has been over a year since I have been able to use it cuz of PC computer problems but now Silhouette has software for Macs...YAY!!!!! I cut this cute "spooky open circle" from orange Prism cardstock and then inked it with Pumice Stone and Black Soot Distress ink. I matted it on black cardstock and cut a circle of the MME Spooked pp to layer under it. To embellish I added some black crushed velvet ribbon and black Prima Flowers with spider brads and some purple bling here and there. The word "cute" is a Melissa Frances rub-on and I added it to a QK tag! I also add lots of Stickles to Edwin and Rock Candy Stickles to the Jewel on the top of the scepter!

Here is the inside....

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my MDUC DT card! Please stop by and visit the other super talented MDUC DT and see all their gorgeous Halloween Inspired creations you are sure to want to join us!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 52 and BasicGrey Challenges # 30.......Spooky Birthday Wishes!

Hey Krafty friends! I hope you are all doing well! I bet you are looking forward to Halloween! Well, only one more sleep, my krafty little goblins! I hope you can squeeze some Krafty time in and around your busy Halloween party schedule, as, we have fabulous challenges this week at both, Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge and BasicGrey Challenges! This week the challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is set by the super Krafty and oh so hilarious, Andrea and she is asking to see creations that are Primarily Purple. Over at BG Challenges, the talented Heather, has designed a beautiful sketch for us to use! Just remember that if you want to be eligible for the prize at BG Challenges you must use at least one item of BasicGrey product and let us know what the BG item you used in your post! To be eligible for the prize at KKSC, which is the super cute stamped image Virginia that Andrea has used on her creation this week, you need to use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamped image on your creation!

Photobucket

So, I made my DT card for both challenges this week and thought I would make a Halloween birthday card and play off the idea of getting older...soooo old, in fact, you are a ghost, he, he, he! I used this really cute and fun Halloween image from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps called Hattie from the Moonlight Whispers collection. I coloured her with my Copics and Twinkling H20s and cut the image out with my Nesties. I left the image in the die and sponged with Metallic Rub-ons to give it a spooky feel. I used AC cardstock and BG Kioshi 6x6 papers and I embellished with AC ribbon, Prima flowers and WOC roses. Unfortunately, I went and covered most of the layout up with flowers and you can't see the circle of paper that is part of Heather's beautiful sketch...Opps! I'm not loving this card, friends...something just not right with it and I didn't do the best job on colouring this super cute image...sorry, I just didn't do Hattie justice with this one!

Photobucket

The sentiment on the front of the card is a Melissa Frances rub-on and for the inside sentiment I used a C.C. Designs sentiment for "spooky" and "Birthday Wishes" is from Kimmie's Everyday Sentiment set!

Photobucket

Well, I really hope you can join us this week at both Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and BasicGrey Challenges! I'm looking forward to seeing all your gorgeous creations!

Halloween hugs,

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 51...a sketch by Michele....Cocoa Anyone?

Photobucket

Good morning Krafty friends! Hope you are all well! I am on cloud nine even though I got into a car accident on Wednesday night!!! I am fine...my neck is a bit sore and stiff but I am fine! My van is being fixed so that is good...but I am over the moon happy cuz, I finally have a new computer!!!!!!! YAY...Yippeee...Yahooo!!!! I'm the proud owner of a new shiny iMac all-in-one desktop and I can't wait to learn all the fabulous things it can do!!! I am a bit nervous though and hope that I can figure it all out! I am just so happy to finally be back on-line and I'm looking forward to spending the day visiting all my krafty friends out there in blogland and catching up on all your gorgeous creations that I've missed over the last couple of weeks!

Well, we have a new challenge for you to play along with over a the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge blog! We have a gorgeous sketch this week by the uber krafty, Michele Boyer...I just love this sketch to bits...I always love Michele's gorgeous cards and layouts so it was so nice to get to make a "Michele"styled card! All the krafty girls have stunning creations to inspire you so please stop by and have a peek at their cards and then join us! Just remember to be eligible for a prize you need to use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp! This week the prize will be, Christmas Clara, as that is the adorable new Holiday stamped image featured on Michele's card and Michele has paper pieced Clara's dress and it looks fabulous...I have to try that, smile!

So, for my card I used, Willard, one of the new Moonlight Whispers images from the Holiday Release. I just adore him too...what a cutie! I actually coloured this image when I was at ScrapFeast last weekend at the Kraftin' Kimmie booth for our copic colouring demo. I had this 6x6 paper pad by Crate Paper called Snow Day, in mind when I was colouring it. Good thing it all matched...phew! Since it's a boy card I kept it simple and didn't add any flowers. the ribbon is American Crafts and a few half pearls. The sentiment is from Kimmie's Fun Phrases Set and I added lots of Stickles so it really sparkles.

Thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card! Hope you can join us this week at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Whiff of Joy Challenges # 90....Distressing...'Tis The Season...!

Photobucket

Good morning crafty friends! Still no computer yet, but I think I am going to take the plunge and get an iMac. Hope it i s the right decision....eekkk! I hope to be able to visit again real soon...I miss you all terribly!

Well, today we have a new challenge over at the Whiff of Joy Challenge blog. We would like to see Distressing on your creations and you have the next 2 weeks to join us! Please remember that to be eligible for any prize you must use a WOJ image. The WOJC DT have made such gorgeous creations so pop by and see what inspiring creations they have made for this challenge!

So for my card I decided to use one of my Henry the Mouse images that are just so cute but for some reason I have neglected to use them! I coloured Henry with my copics and cut him out. I added some "Dimensional Snow paint" to the fur trim of his hat and then sprinkled it with Glamor Dust while it was still wet! I Also used some new Echo Park pp that I just LOVE called Merry Christmas. to Distress the card I roughed up the edges of the paper with my Tim Holtz distress tool and applied some Distress Crackle paint in Picket Fence. I also went around the paper and sponged with gold Metallic Rub-ons. To embellish I used ribbon from my stash and prima flowers with half-pearls. The green ones where white and I coloured them with a green Copic marker. The sentiment on the front of the card is an element from the Echo Park pp pack!

Photobucket

Here is the inside...very simple and I didn't distress the inside papers as it makes the card very difficult to close properly....the sentiment is a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps sentiment!

Photobucket

Thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card! I hope you can join us at the WOJ challenges!

I hope to have some pics to share with you from our trip once I get a new computer...yes, unfortunately, I am still without a computer and only have my Dad's to work on. I have been so busy since I got back that I haven't had time to do any computer shopping yet! But it is top of my to do list, trust me!

Well, enough rambling, time to get krafty! Today we have a new challenge over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge blog and I'm the hostess this week! There are 6 super cute images from Annie Rodrigue and Steven Leary is back again with super cute stamps with Miles the Mouse and pal.

Photobucket

So, for my card I used Christmas Clara....just love her to bits and in keeping with the non-traditional colours I used this scrumptious BoBunny patterned paper called Winter Joy that I just adore...be prepared to see lots of it over the next little while, smile! I used one of the sparkly Winter Joy brads and I embellished with Prima and WOC roses and American Crafts ribbon! I also sprinkled a few lilac half pearls here and there and added lots of stickles to Clara so she is really sparkly IRL! The sentiment on the front of the card is actually on the patterned paper!

Here is the inside...the sentiment here comes with one of the other stamps, "Nick", from the new Sweet Holiday October Release and I will be sharing a card with him later this week!

For my card I once again used my Echo Park Life is Good patterned paper...it was perfect for this colour combo. I decided to ink up a neglected stamp, Tilda with Sunflower...shame I neglected her really, as, she is sooooo darn cute, but she has got some love now, smile! I coloured her with my Copics and cut her out with my oval Nesties using the "Out of the Box Technique" and inked the background colour with Tumbled Glass Distress ink. I used this fabulous Magnolia sentiment too from the Animal and Pet Collection. I stamped it with green Memento ink on one of the elements that co-ordinates with the Echo Park pp. I cut two scalloped borders from Kraft cardstock with my MFT large scallop border di-nmaics die and added some Martha Stewart seam binding that I crinkled. I punched some MS butterflies from QuicKutz cork material and added some Prima flowers and a little bling too!
