Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 53...How Distressing....Party Time!

Good morning krafty friends! I am so glad it is the weekend, aren't you!? I am looking forward to spending some time in my craftroom this weekend...lots of cards to make, smile! I have a card to share with you this morning for the challenge over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge blog! Guess what?

Yup, I 'm the hostess this week and I want to see Distressing on your creations...you can do a little or a lot, it is totally up to you!!! I hope you can join us and if you use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp on your creation then you will entered into draw for a KKS stamp. This week you have a chance at winning the cutie, Merry, that I used on my card.

So, as I said I used Merry from the Moonlight Whispers collection fro the new Holiday release...I coloured this image with my Copics when I was at ScrapFest helping out at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps booth. I had this gorgeous Crate Paper Called Restoration Collection in mind at the time and it matched...YAY! I decided to make an easel card and I distressed all the edges of the patterned paper with my Tim Holtz Distressing tool...but I have ordered a Distrezz-it-all by Zutter from Scrappin' Great Deals and I can't wait for it to arrive. It is really going to make distressing the edges of my paper so much easier and a lot less messy.

I also stamped with my Kelly Panacci Stitching stamps and inked the edges, as always! I used my MFT Di-namics rolled flower die for the first time and made these distressed rolled flowers by spritzing the paper with Glimmer Mist and crinkling up the paper and then rolling the flowers. I added a pearl to the centres...they aren't exactly how I would have liked them but I just need to practice a bit more, me thinks. The sentiment "Party Time" comes with the a Cindy and Mindy stamp called Party Time and "Your Invited" is from Kimmie's Thankful Sentiment set.

Well thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card!  Please stop by the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge blog and visit all the other Krafty Girls' blogs to see their beautifully distressed creations!

Happy Kraftin'!

Hugs,

amazing matching of colouring to the papers - it all zings with such zest. The contrast between this care & you last post (WOJ Christmas card) is amazing - such different styles & each pulled off to perfection.
Have a brilliant rest of the weekend.
