A Pocket Full of Sunshine!

I made two cards today for Ila's Sketch Challenge. This is my first time participating in a blog challenge! Those adorable High Hopes stamps that Ila is offering up for blog candy sure got me motivated to join in, smile!!! I really enjoyed following this sketch and I look forward to participating in more of Ila's challenges...great fun!

I stamped Tilda with Apron on Wausau Bright White Cardstock with Archival Brilliance Graphite Black ink and coloured her in with Copic markers. Card base is Bazzill Blue CS from the Rainbow multi-pack and I used BG 6x6 PP Cupcake. I cut the same Bazzill Blue CS into a pocket and matted it on a piece of Peach CS from the Monocromatics Orange multi-pack. I used Technique Tuesday Hanging by a Thread stamps with Close to my Heart Daisey White ink to stamp the stitching. I embellished with MM button brads, Prima flowers, Ric Rac and stardust pen. I just love the new Natasha Benningfield song "Pocketful of Sunshine"!!!! The first time I heard it I knew it would be the perfect sentiment for a happy card to brighten a special someone's day! I printed the sentiment on the computer with Wendy Medium font.

For this card I followed Kimmie's version of Ila's sketch. Again, I stamped Tilda with Apron with Archival Brilliance Graphite Black ink on Wausau Bright White Cardstock and coloured her with my Copics. I used Bazzill Blue CS for the base and BG PP Cupcake and I punched piece of pink from Sugared with my 2" square punch and matted it on the Bazzill Blue CS.

This was a ton of fun...I hope you have a great day and enjoy the sunshine!!! Thanks for stopping by!
