SugarPea Designs...SPDSS#30 & CQC#308...Hello Baby!

Hello stampin' friends! It's been SO long since I've made a card or blogged. I had a great summer and enjoyed the crafty and blogging break! We went to Disney World again and this time we thought we should take the kids ;) It was a magical time!

Have you checked out Periscope?! I've really enjoyed watching Periscope broadcasts by many of my crafty friends. It seemed much less intimidating than making a YouTube video, so, I thought I would give it a try. I attempted by very first Periscope yesterday....sadly it was a major fail, lol! I didn't anticipate the technical difficulties that I encountered. My plan was to share a sneak peek of this card and a little tour of my craft-room. The connection was poor and I had to make several videos. Unfortunately, I don't think any of them worked out well and not sure what folks were able to see/hear. I'll have to try and muster up the courage to try it again but only after I figure out how to improve my WiFi signal strength.

I needed to whip up a very special card for my new wee nephew. I'm super excited to be an Auntie for the very first time. This is such a wonderful and special time for my brother and his wife and for the whole family! Since I haven't made a card in a while I desperately needed a little inspirational boost and was happy to find this fabulous Sugar Sketch - #SPDSS30 to follow.

Once I had the Sugar Sketch to work with, I went looking for a colour combo. This pretty colour combo that they have over at  ColourQ - #CQC308 was perfect! I used MFT Heavyweight Cardstock in Grout Grey, Fuse Green, Sno Cone, Sweet Tooth and the dark teal is Recollections Cardstock.

I used a mix of 6X6 BasicGrey papers from J'Adore and Mon Ami for this card. I knew I wanted to ink up this sweet little elephant from the SugarPea Designs Tons of Fun Stamp set. I coloured him with my Copics, cut him out and popped him up on the Notebook Journal Card

I also used several SugarCuts on this card....the Notebook Journal Card, the fishtail banner is from the Gift Tag SugarCuts, the Zig Zag Stitched Circles SugarCuts and the little heart is from the Layered Treat Label SugarCuts. The sentiment is from the SugarPea Designs Tweet Friend Stamp set. Finally,  I tied a Hemp Twine bow around the pierced fishtail banner and a sprinkling of  White YNS Gumdrops.

As always, I finished the inside of the card...I used the Notebook Journal Card SugarCuts and the Layered Treat Label SugarCuts and stamped a sentiment from the Tons of Fun Stamp set

Thanks SO much for stopping by and havin' a wee peek at my SugarPea Designs and BasicGrey baby card with the Sugar Sketch #30 and ColourQ Challenge # 308.
