Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps # 89...Clean and Simple (NO Embellies)...T.G.I.F!!!

Photobucket
Hey Krafty friends! WOW! All of the cards for last week's challenge were absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for trying my sketch!!! It was amazing seeing cards made with a sketch that I made....very cool!  I hope that you will get a chance to join us this week for another fabulously FUN Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge! This week the uber talented and oh so sweet, Krafty Girl, Donna, is the hostess!!!! She has really picked a tough challenge this week! At least, I was feeling the pain on this one....OUCH!!!! Donna wants to see you make a CAS card....that means Clean and Simple and that translates into....NO embellishments!!!!!! Can you believe it! I thought I would go through ribbon and flower withdrawal and it was all I could do not to throw on a few gems or pearls on my card but I resisted the temptation to embellish!!!!

So all you have to do is make a card following this week's challenge, link it up on the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge blog and if you use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp on your creation then you will be entered into the random draw to win your very own  Brigitte stamp as seen on Donna's STUNNING card this week!

Now, on a sad note, I want to let you all know that this is my last Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp Challenge as a Krafty Girl but definitely not my last Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps card!!! I have stepped down from the KKS DT as I need to take a  bit of break from DT work and deadlines. I will still be crafting, stamping and blogging but not as much as I have been. It was a very difficult decision to make  because I absolutely LOVE Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps to bits and Kimmie is such an incredibly kind and generous person to work with. It was a true honour to be on her DT!!! She has assembled such an amazing team too and all the gals on the DT are super talented, super FUNNY and super duper sweet....just a great bunch ladies to work with! I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as a Krafty Girl!!!

So, here is my card for the NO EMBELLIE challenge....eeeekkkkkk!!!!!! Well, I have been thinking about this "T.G.I.F." card for a while as I just loooovvveee Katy Perry and her new song Last Friday Night. This is my tribute card to her song! I made the cardbase 6x6 and used my new 6x6 BasicGrey Out of Print Paper pad. I inked up my Judy stamp from the Moonlight Whispers collection and I coloured her with my Copics and cut her out and pop-dotted her on the oval panel. I printed the sentiments, that I typed up on the computer, on Kraft cardstock and cut out the T.G.I.F. with the Speech Bubble Dies from the MFT Say What Stamp and Die-nmaics set. See, I did it! There's no bling, no pearls, no flowers and no ribbon!!!!!

Here is the inside...again I printed the sentiment on Kraft cardstock. I thought this would make a good invitation card for a girls night out!!!

You were my favourite Krafty Girl! I'm still going to follow your blog. You're card is fantastic! It's so hard to make a card without embellishments. You dit a great job! This paper of Basic Grey is also very nice. Just used it with one of my new cards.

NOOOOO! Nooooo! Don't go! Reconsider!!! *sigh* Well, it was worth a try... You sure went out as a Krafty Girl with a bang, though - I LOVE everything about this card! So, so perfect in every way. Do you need my address?! :) I'll miss you on the DT, but will stalk you frequently, Miss Tara. Wishing you all the best! Hugs, gf.

Well there are definitely no embellishments or ribbon & so CAS but but it certainly still has your distinctive style about it. Love her shiny little shorts. Take care of yourself - I'm not surprised you need time with family & have watched in absolute amazement at your productivity. It'll be good not to have deadlines.
Much love

Hi! I just "discovered" you today, and now your're leaving. Well I can still check your blog--full of great stuff!
As a newbie, I also didn't know about Kimmie. And I have one question: is the sentiment "life is too short for beige" one you bought, or made up? I would love to buy it/use it...so perfect to express my attitude, too.
Thanks your any info you can give, and good luck with the rest of your life after leaving the DT!!!!
