Whiff of Joy Challenge # 84...Fuzz...Dog Days!
Hey crafty friends! Hope you are keepin' well and enjoying the summer sun! I haven't been doing too much crafting as of late. It just seems that there isn't the time with all the summer things to do and we will be going camping again soon but I do have a card to share with you today for the Whiff of Joy Challenge! Yup, It is Wednesday and that means we have another fun challenge at the Whiff of Joy Challenge blog! We also have several new additions to the team and we are all so glad to welcome Paula, Michele, Kathrin and Wendy to the WOJ Challenges family! They are all super talented ladies and will sure to inspire you with stunning creations each and every WOJ challenge!
This week we have a really fun challenge...Fuzz! This challenge is great for both summer and winter cards and the DT have really out done themselves this week! WOW! What stunning creations! Please go to the WOJ Challenge blog and have a peek at their creativity! Then Join us with your Fuzzy cards! The only rule for this challenge is to use a Whiff of Joy image on your creation to be eligible for the prize! This challenge we have a wonderfully generous prize from Simon Says Stamp, a $25 gift voucher (this does not include shipping).
For my card I made the base 6x6 from Prism cardstock and used K&Co. Wild Saffron pp. I knew that I wanted to use this adorable image of Willow with Chihuahua. I coloured the image with my Copics, Cut it out with my Nesties and left the image in the die and used Pumice Stone Distress inks to colour in the background. Then I added Red Fun Flock to her cap!
Here you can see the fun Flock up close! It was my first time using it and it was so easy and looks great! I love it when you discover a new, fun product from doing a challenge! I also used this "fuzzy" brown felt border by MME that my blogging pal and BG Challenges teamie, TaraW, sent me in a RAK. I love it as it already had adhesive on it and it's so soft and fuzzy...just perfect for this challenge. I added some suede twine that is a bit fuzzy too. I embellished with some Prima flowers, half pearls and the sentiments are Melissa Frances rub-ons.
Here is the inside!
I actually remembered to write down the Copic colours that I used so here they are....
Skin: E000, 00, 21, 11 and R20
Willow's Hair and Doggie: YR20, E33
Skirt and Shoes:E55, 57
Shirt:Y21, E53,
Hat, Socks, Scarf, Doggie's shirt, Lips:R27
Thanks for stopping by and having a wee peek at my Whiff of Joy Challenges card! I'm looking forward to seeing all of your fuzzy creations!
Have a stampin' great day!

LOVE the card and this image!! Excellent work Tara!!
The way you have positioned the red swirl arching over the image panel is so good & then there it is again on the inside framing the written words so well. The use of the flock on the cap is so tactile & real too - & HOW did you colour that expression into the dog's face.
Thank you too for your lovely welcome - you were one of my first Followers when I initially started blogging & I remember just being so touched that you were taking the trouble to keep an eye on what I was doing.

I had found a lot of beautiful cards. But for me your card is the most outstanding because the design is so unique. That girl is so gorgeous.
Hi Tara,
just browsed your blog again, it was a while ago... but I have to say, I enjoyed it so much! Your cards are so beautiful, a true inspiration.
Thanks for that!!
