Photobucket

Good morning stampin' friends! Well, I am back with another card to share. This time it is for the new challenge that we have at Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog!!! This week the challenge is a Stampin' and crafty Bingo! Whoo hoo!!!! I really LOVE bingo challenges! so much fun and I love having the different options! So, just pick a line from the Bingo card either horizontally, vertically or diagonally and then use those items on your card or creation. The DT is also featuring The Greeting Farm stamps today. It is not a requirement of the challenge but if you have any TGF stamps we would love to see them in combination with the Bingo challenge!!!

We have a fab prize this week!!! As always, Heidi, has very generously offered up a $50.00 voucher to to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore. Just join the challenge and link you card up on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog to entered into the draw for the 50.00 shopping spree!!!

Here is the Bingo grid for this week's challenge!!!
For my card I have used the 3rd vertical row...Flowers, Brads, Sentiment! I used my new and fave BasicGrey 6x6 Sweet Threads papers and brads for this card. I am afraid you will be seeing a lot of it as I just love the colours in these papers! I finally inked up this sweet Ebony stamp that I have had in my stash forever. She is so cute and I'm so happy with how she turned out. I'm especially happy with her hair....I don't always get the hair looking right. I coloured her with my Copics and cut out around her and for the sentiment I thought it would be fun to use this phrase circle that I cut on my Silhouette Digital Craft Cutter. I cut two scalloped borders with my MFT Die-namics Simply Scallops border die and layered them. I added the BG Sweet Threads brads to dot the "i"s and the exclamation mark. I added a few prima flowers with more brads to finish it off. I inked all the edges of the papers with Amaretto Powder Puff ink....love, love, love these Powder Puff chalk inks.

New BasicGrey Challenge # 24...Gingham...2 cards to share!

It feels like forever since I've posted a card. I was camping with the family at Sandbanks Provincial Park and had a great time even though I got burnt, yikes! Then I came home for a day and then headed to Ottawa with friends for the AVLIC 2010 Conference. I had a great time at the conference but I am glad to be home now and see the kids and Chris. I missed them a lot! I'm glad to be home with all my stamps and stash too, he, he, he. I was having some serious withdrawal, lol!
We have another fun BasicGrey challenge for you today and it is simply to use some gingham on your card! I hope you can join us. Just remember to use at least one BasicGrey product to be eligible to win the random draw for the generous $25 Voucher donated by Simon Says Stamp.
So, I brought just the basic tools/supplies, a few embellies and some Copics to match this BG Kioshi paper with me! I coloured these 2 images and made the cards in my hotel room at night while I was watching TV. I'm quite happy with how the turned out considering I didn't have all my usual stuff, no Nesties, no distress inks etc.

My sweet friend and BG Challenges teamie, Tara W, from England sent me a bunch of images from the Roll Call kit and some of the beautiful flowers and goodies that I have used on these cards. Thanks so much, hun. I just loved colouring this sweetie called Summer from the Wild Sprouts collection and the flowers and ribbon all the goodies are just beautiful. For both cards, I used this pretty green gingham ribbon. When I was quickly throwing stuff in my bag to take with me I tossed in a few cork butterflies that I had on my desk and this cute Making Memories paper clip. Tara sent the ticket....I think it is a Tim Holtz ticket.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my cards for the BG Challenge. I can't wait to see your gingham cards and make sure you pop over to the BG Challenges blog and see the beautiful creations by the BG DT.

Club Anya and Friends Saturday Sketch #20...Karate Kieran!

Good Morning!!! I hope you all had a great weekend! I got lots of DT cards made over the weekend and then squeezed in this card for my son Kieran. He is taking Karate, well, I think it is actually Jujitsu but I'm not a 100 % sure...anyways...he did is grading on Friday night and he finds out tonight if he moves up and gets a belt with a yellow stripe on it. He is very excited! I have total faith that he did it! I tucked this in his lunch bag this morning because he is also starting his Grade 3 testing today and I wanted to give him a little word of encouragement.

I made this card following the great sketch that they have this week over at Club Anya & Friends! I used digi Karate Ian for my card and Fancy Pants paper from my stash. I used some white twill tape and made the yellow stripe with my Acid Yellow Copic. The stars are QuicKutz dies.

Here is the inside...the sentiment is by CC Designs. I am quite happy with how this card turned out and it came together so quickly too! Love it when that happens!

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek! Hope you have a great week!

Club Anya and Friends Saturday Sketch #18...Flirty Edward!

Hey crafty friends! I hope you week is off to a great start! I am back this morning to share another card that I made for a work friend! She asked me to make her a birthday card for her friend, who is a huge Twilighter and I knew the perfect image...Flirty Edward...isn't he a doll! I had so much fun colouring him!

I needed a little help to get me started with card design though. So, I went looking for a sketch and they just so happened to have this fabulous sketch over at Club Anya and Friends...it is Saturday Sketch # 18!
I printed out Edward and coloured him with my Copics. I am quite happy with how is pale skin turned out...I used YR0000, 000, 00 and R000 for just a titch of rose to his cheeks...looks better IRL. I made my cardbase 6x6 from American Crafts cardstock and matted with Bazzill Basics and used BasicGrey Sugar Rush. I thought I would use this Prima lace/flower trim that I bought at Micheals in the discount rack! I did a search for Twilight quotes and found this one so I printed it on the computer and I also downloaded a free font on Edward's Handwriting.

I added a little Sakura Stardust pen and spread it around with my finger to make Edward sparkle.

Here is the inside!
Thanks for popping by and having a little look-see at my Edward card! I am quite happy with how it turned out. I hope my friend likes it and I really hope her friend likes it,lol!
