Just Magnolia #8, Cute Card Thursday # 36, Copic Colour Challenge #16 & Colour Create # 18....Tilda says"Life is too short for beige!"

Wow!!! I managed to combine four great challenges into one very colourful and very bright card, lol! I made this card for the Just Magnolia Challenge following Rach's fabulous sketch...definitely one to use again as it makes a fab looking card without being too complicated...gotta love that!!!!! I also followed along with the challenge at CCT to use punches/die cuts, Copic Colour Challenge and Colour Create Challenge #18 the colours of the rainbow!!!!

I made my cardbase 6x6 with yellow Bazzill Basics cardstock and matted with blue Bazzill cardstock and used my new BG Lime Ricky 6x6 paper pad and brads. I thought Lime Ricky would be the perfect paper for Colour Create challenge...colours of the rainbow!
I stamped Spring Tilda and the butterfly scene from the Magnolia Chasing Butterflies collection on Prism Simply Smooth cardstock and coloured Tilda and the secne with my Copics. I used Y06, but I don't have RV11 or E39 so I used RV13 and E37 instead. For the CCT challenge, I use my new EK Success border punch, circle and scalloped circle Nesties and QK Butterfly die. I cut the butterfly die out of the QK adhesive clear plastic material and then dusted it with Glamour Dust!

To finish it off some yummy American Crafts ribbon, Primas, Stickles and the perfect sentiment by Stamping Bella...love, love, love this sentiment!!!! I stamped it with VersaMark ink on the blue cardstock and used American crafts Zing white embossing powder...love the crisp white sentiment!

Colour Create #11 and Friday Sketchers # 47...Time Flutters by!!!

I am having fun with all this extra crafting time this long weekend!!! Really I should do some cleaning and all but making cards is sooo much more fun!

I was so inspired by my blogging bud Tab's colour combo for Colour Create Challenge and all the beautiful cards by the DT that I couldn't resist making a card and playing along! I also used this week's FS sketch #47 for this card too!!! It is a really nice sketch and everything just fell into place...loved it!!!

When I saw the colour combo I went digging in my stash for this button embossed paper that I have had forever...I mean it is probably 7 or 8 years old. Now that is some old stash!!! It is really pretty paper but I just never knew what to do with it until today! I did a lot of distressing and inking on this card and I stamped the stitching with my Kelly Panacci Stitches acrylic stamps with Vintage Photo Distress ink!
I crackled painted this Technique Tuesday FUNdamentals chipboard butterfly with Tim Holtz Picket Fence white Crackle Paint and then distressed it with Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress inks. Then I used Metallic Rub-on and Shimmerized it! It was hard to get a good photo of it...it actually looks good IRL! There are lots of fine little cracks in it....so happy with it!!!
Thanks for stopping by I think I am going to go tidy and do up so loads of clothes...I have been totally consumed with stamping and cardmaking this weekend that I really should do something a little more productive, smile!!

Tilda, my wee Irish Colleen....Happy St. Patrick's Day, Crafty Friends!!!!!

Just a quick post here to wish everyone of my blog followers and crafty blogging friends around the world a very Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!!!
I made this card really quickly yesterday evening while watching Dancing with the Stars!!!! I just wanted to post it here for all of my visitors to let you know I'm so lucky to have "meet" many wonderful crafty bloggers and I have received so may kind and supportive comments and I really appreciate all your kind words of support and encouragement!!!!!
I hope you have a wonderful day and get to celebrate today with a pint or two,he,he,he!!!!

Edit: In my haste to get this posted and out the door this morning, I forgot to mention, that I'm entering this card in challenge # 7 over at the Colour Create Challenge blog! The colour combo is red and green!!!!

I was inspired by this beautiful ribbon (the picture doesn't do it justice really) that I picked up at Micheals. I love the basket weave pattern of the ribbon and the sheen...fabulous! I made my card base 6X6 out of white Dotted Swiss Bazzill cardstock! I cut the shamrock border on my Silhouette and tucked a few extra shamrocks in and around Tilda and pop-dotted her. The papers are a mix of My Mind's Eye, Bohemia Collection and Scenic Route. The sentiment I typed up on my computer and printed it on Bazzill cardstock.
This is my favourite Tilda right now. I think she is called Sweetheart Tilda and she is just that, a sweetheart....I think she looks sooooo Irish too, smile! I stamped her on Georgia Pacific paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with my Copics and Twinkling H2Os. I wanted her hair to be dark brown, like mine, something, I don't usually do, as, I am not that good at colouring the hair dark. I think it it is easier just to make her a blond, smile! I used my Maroon Copic marker and I really love the warm reddish brown that it turned out! Tilda's slouchy socks remind of my Irish dancing socks that I use to wear...I think Tilda just kicked off her hard shoes to rest her weary feet after doing a jig or two, lol!!!!
Well, there you have it! I am quite happy with how this card turned out! Hannah and Kieran are on March break this week. I'm taking my Dad to the train so he can head into Toronto to celebrate St.Patrick's day! I am sure that he will be wearing green when I pick him up,lol!!!! I think he might even have his funny hat on, so, I will take a pic and maybe post it for you to all see my crazy Irish Dad,lol!!!!
Well, I better get a move on, got to get my Dad to his train and get to work!!!!!

Hope you all have a very
Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!
