Hello stampin' friends! It's time for the La-La Land Crafts Friday Inspirational team to share card for this week's theme, Something for Dad! I thought I would make a card for my hubby, Chris. He is an awesome Dad and does so many things with and for our 2 children, Hannah and Kieran. I hope that some day we can make his dream vacation to Hawaii come true. I know he would like to take that trip for his 50th Birthday. If it doesn't happen then, it will happen someday because he totally deserves it!
So, I thought I would ink up this sweet stamp, Ukulele Luka, to make a Hawaiian Father's Day card for him. I picked some great papers from the BasicGrey PB&J 6x6 paper pad and I was especially drawn to this blue floral paper in the pad and thought it would make a great "Hawaiian shirt". I coloured Ukulele Luka with my Copics and paper pieced his shirt and pants. I added some Buttermilk Copic Spica pen and Sakura Glaze pen to the flowers.
I stamped the sentiment from the PI Hula Girl stamp set on white card cut with a MFT Die-namics Chat Bubble. I embellished with a Hibiscus Die-namics, some blue twill tape and a sprinkling of blue gems.
Here is the inside...I stamped a shadow image of Ukulele Luka in the new Teal Zeal Memento Ink and added some Fishtail Flags Die-namics and the rest of the sentiment from the PI Hula Girl Stamp set. Well, thanks SO much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card with Ukulele Luka for this week's La-La Land Crafts theme...Inspired by a Something for Dad!
