Krafty Day Oct. 16, 2011 & Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 98!

Photobucket
Well, how pathetic am I?! I am feeling so bummed out on this gloomy and cold day that I actually made a card for myself. The sentiment on this card should read...Just one of those days MONTHS! At the beginning of the month, I fell down the stairs and still have a huge bruise on my arse, then with all this rain, we had a small leak in the basement which meant tearing out my shelving and part of the wall in my craft room now all my stamps and supplies are in boxes and out in the rec room until it gets fixed. That obviously has put a real damper on my card making and then on top of that I got shingles on my arm and hand and it is unbelievably painful! Well, they say bad things come in threes, so I'm thinking I am good now for a while....knock on wood!!!

Well, I cleared out a little spot amongst the "construction" in my craft room this afternoon and made a card as I was getting bored sitting around and thought it would give me something to do and take my mind off my sore arm! So, I thought I would use the sweet Angie from the Moonlight Whispers Everyday Girls collection. I coloured her with my Copics and paper pieced her robe. Paper Piecing is the challenge this week over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge blog! For my card I used this 6x6 paper Pad called Baby Steps by Simple Stories.  I also used my Flat bottom Cloud Die-nmaics and one of the wee clouds from The MFT You Move Me Die-nmaincs and Stamp Set. The Sentiment comes with the Angry Ballerina stamp.

Now, I also wanted to let all my local Krafty friends know that the 2nd Annual Krafty Day is on October 16th from 9-9!!! I am so looking forward to it! I didn't make it last year but I will be there this year with several of the Krafty Girls and Kraftin' Kimmie, of course and I hope you can come too!!!! You can still get your tickets on the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps on-line store hereKrafty day will be 12 hours of Krafty FUN, lots of kroppin' and kraftin' space, so be sure to bring your projects to work on! There will be an exclusive KKS tote bag with stampin' goodies and a special edition KKS stamp to commemorate the occasion! I hope you can come and join us in Lambeth, Ontario for Krafty Day!

Well, here is the inside of my card....pretty simple I stamped Angie again and used a sentiment from Kimmie's Coffee Sentiment set. I cut the dog tag out with my MFT Dog Tag Die-namics Die.

Well, I could use a cuppa tea and wee rest now. Thanks so much for popping by and havin' a wee peek at my card! Oh and I really hope you can make it to Krafty Day on October 16th. You can get your ticket on the Kraftin' kimmie Stamps on-line shop here!

Hugs,

So sorry to hear about your mishaps & the Shingles & well done for getting yourself creating to lift your mood. You've given me a huge lot of pleasure with your card. Your hair colouring is exquisite in this image & your brown colour combination quite stunning. I love your sprinkling of pearls which I now think of as your particular trademark. Your inside decoration also fits into that "trademark" category & this is a perfect example of designing with that lace strip echoing the horixontal pattern of the paper.
Hope you feel much better very soon.
Much love
