BasicGrey Challenges # 29...Spring/Easter Theme...Baby Boy!!!!

Hope you all had a great week and are enjoying the first signs of Spring. I was examining tiny little buds emerging and watched the squirrels hop around from tree to tree earlier this week...ahhh, spring has sprung! We sure had a rainy day here in Ontario! That is what's in store for the rest of the weekend too...April showers...better that, than snow, that is for sure!!! Well, with all this talk about Spring and Easter just around the corner we have the perfect theme for you this week at BasicGrey Challenges....

"This week's challenge is exactly what it says on the box hehe, we want you to create some Spring/Easter themed projects, and of course not forgetting to include one item from BasicGrey somewhere on your creation :) This weeks challenge is very kindly being sponsored by the Scrapbook Garden"

So, make sure you go visit the BasicGrey Challenges blog and see all the other inspiring creations by the oh so talented BG Designers.

So, here is my card! I know, I know it is a baby card. So, I took a few liberties with the theme but babies kinda go with Spring and he is wearing a bunny suit and well he is just absolutely adorable. I just had to make this baby card after picking up this fab American Crafts ribbon at Micheals the other day.

I knew I just had to team it up with this adorable Magnolia baby bunny image!!! This is one of the very first Magnolia stamps I bought cuz it is soooo cute, Lille Skutt! I'm not sure what it means but it even sounds cute,lol...and who doesn't love cute!? I stamped Lille Skutt on Prism Natural Smooth cardstock with Memento Black Tuxedo ink and coloured him with my Copic markers and Twinkling H20s. I went around the edge of the image with my Quickie glue pen and then sprinkled it with Glamour Dust.

I made the 6x6 cardbase from brown Bazzill Cardstock and used BasicGrey Archaic and Marrakech papers from my 6x6 paper pads and inked all the edges with Colorbox Chestnut Roan chalk ink. To finish it off, I added a few new Prima flowers with the leaves attached, Viva flowers from the dollar store and added some Shimmerz to them for a little extra shimmery effect,Wassail buttons, and a Melissa Frances rub-on. I cut the tab with my Quikutz button tab 2X2 die.

Well, I hope that you can enjoy a little bit of Spring this weekend and if it's raining and you can't get outside to enjoy it, stay in and stamp a little spring/Easter card and play along with us at BasicGrey Challenges!!!
Thanks for stopping by and having a wee look!

Hugs,
