My Favorite Things Stamps...Merry & Bright

Hey Stampin' friends! I'm still making a few last minute cards. My mom wants a gift card to the Apple store to go towards the MacBook Pro laptop that she wants. Unfortunately, we've had a few unforeseen events that prevented us from making the trip to the Apple Store, in Toronto, to pick up that gift card.  I still wanted to make something special so that she knows I had good intentions and I'll include the money in lieu of the gift card.

I was inspired to make this card by an e-mail Apple gift card that I saw on the Apple website. I made the card with the Blueprints 4 from Electric Red Heavyweight Card Stock and I cut the Red Delicious Die-namics from Sweet Tooth Heavyweight Card Stock and used a circle die from the Circle STAX to make the Apple icon. I used the Plaid Background Builder Stamp Set and stamped it with Sweet Tooth Pigment Dye Ink and heat embossed it with AC Zing White  Embossing powder. I stamped a sentiment from the Cheerful Christmas Greetings Stamp set in Electric Red Premium Dye Ink on Sweet Tooth Heavyweight Card Stock cut with the Layered Treat Tag Die-namics. Lastly, I added a few YNS Gumdrops in White Sugar and Holly Berry Red.

on the inside... I added a Gift Card Pocket with the Gift Card Pocket - Horizontal Die-namics cut from the Electric Red Heavyweight Card Stock and stamped a sentiment from LJD Gift Card Greetings II Stamp Set in MFT Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink.

Thanks SO much for stopping by and having a wee peek at yet another MFT Christmas Card!

Sweet Sunday Sketch # 200...Happy Christmas!

Hey stampin' friends! Hope everyone that is effected by this crazy ice storm is keeping warm and staying safe! In between power outages today, I made this card with the beautiful sketch that Karen has for the Sweet Sunday Sketch. I inked up this cute Pure Innocence Warm Winter girl and used Authentique  Glistening 6X6 paper pad.

I matted with MFT Replenishments Heavyweight Card Stock in Black Licorice, Factory Green and Sno Cone. I used my Oval STAX,  OVAL Pierced STAX, Square STAX and Pierced Square STAX. I just had to add a few corrugated snowflakes with Sno Cone Buttons. I cut the snowflakes with the Let It Snowflakes Die-namics. I stamped a sentiment from the PI Happy Christmas stamp set on a tag cut from Primitive White Heavyweight Card Stock with Steel Grey Premium Dye Ink.

I coloured up the PI Warm Winter girl with my Copics and paper pieced her out fit. I left the image in the Pierced Oval STAX and inked with Tumbled Glass Distress ink.

My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 155...Doodle Garden - You're the Coolest!

Hey stampin' friends! I was glad for the fab MFT Wednesday Stamp Club sketch that they have this week. I have a few more Christmas cards to make and a great sketch was the perfect springboard to knock out another card. I inked up the super cute Doodle Garden - You're the Coolest again. I can't get enough of her and she is perfect to paper piece....LOVE her to bits!

Here is the fun sketch that I used!

I used Authentique Joyous 6x6 paper pad and used MFT Replenishments Heavyweight Card Stock in Black Licorice, Red Hot, Jellybean Green and Sweet Tooth. I used the Snow Drifts and Tree Lines Die-namics and I cut a few Let It Snowflake snowflakes from corrugated cardboard and inked them with Sweet Tooth Premium Pigment ink and added Red Hot Buttons to them tied with Hemp cord.

I coloured up the Doodle Garden - You're The Coolest girl with my Copics and paper pieced her out fit, then cut her out and popped her up over the wintry scene. I used the stitched border from Blueprints 1 and stamped a sentiment from the Doodle Garden - You're the Coolest stamp set in Jellybean Green Premium Dye Ink. A little tip - the stitched border wasn't long enough to span the card but I cut it in half, placed the two pieces and covered the gap behind the DG girl.

Here is the inside...I stamped a shadow image of the DG You're the Coolest girl in Red Hot Premium Dye Ink. I used the Vertical Greetings and Layered Label Die-namics for the sentiment panel. I stamped another sentiment from the DG You're the Coolest stamp set on Sweet Tooth Heavyweight Card Stock cut with the Stitched Sentiment Strip from Blueprints 2.

Thanks SO much for visiting and taking a look at my card for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club # 155 with the sweet Doodle Garden - You're the Coolest stamps set.
